Wow, that is a really great modeler for the price and the tones are CLEAN. Thanks so much for demoing the unit. Lastly, you have ex talent it is a joy to listen to, Cheers!!!
Not surprised at all. All modelers are just computers in a box. The algorithms are known, the limiting factors are the cpu/dsp power and the in/out connectivity. The only difference in the future will be how good the interfaces are. That is why some companies want to push the subscription model.
When I buy a product I want to pay for it and be able to use as is, not require a subscription. If a product had some great basic presets built in to get us going, and maybe had some extra downloads that we could demo or had good sound samples of, and charge a small fee for them so User can get stuff they want, thats great.
@@guitartoneSA The Algorithm gives you the quality of sound, the CPU/DSP gives you the horse power to play it. The more powerful the unit, the more it can do at once. DSP matters. The new Amperos do everything because of it.

New subscriber here. It's very refreshing to finally see somebody displaying multiple playing styles while doing a review/demo. Most reviews (depending on the channel) are usually one of two options. Those options being "chug chug chug" or "shred shred shred"! Well done, sir! Having said all that, this amp modeler sounds great at any price point, imo. But, at $79.00, it's freakin amazing! I also really like the sound of that Fire Fly Tele. Based on what I was hearing in the beginning of the video, I honestly thought it was a Fender Tele until I saw the name on the headstock.
Bought this a couple weeks ago. Mighty powerful and small. Great modeler! @Trey Shreddings Dude! Love that your rocking a FireFly guitar! I have several and they are AWESOME! New subscriber!
Killer video, this would be a great unit for at home use Trey, I wonder how it would hold up over time, Enjoy the David Gilmour show, can’t wait for the Gilmour strat build.
That's a great device and you're an excellent guitar player Trey!! WOW around the 11 minute mark you got some really cool SMOOTH not fuzzy distortion which is what I require for my own music. Great review thanks mate, Subbed! 👍
@@TreyShreddings I have to agree! Even though there are only two review vids(yours and one other) The sounds this unit get for under $99 is crazy! Years back a $400 zoom or Boss did not sound as good or have these features
Yeah pretty much but IMHO the Zoom sounded very transistor and fizzy compared to this unit. I have a old G1 in my drawer i got when they first came out. I am amazed at how far these newer units like this Silverbox have come in tone at a super low price.

I thought I commented on this. Hmmmm. Anyway, this is a very cool modeler in a pedal, your demo says it all. For $80, whether you have amps or not, is a great bargain for the features of the Silverbox. I would challenge anyone with one or two amps to produce some of these sounds, the cabs alone are worth the cost. Anyway, thanks for the demo/review Trey.
this thing is amazing compared for it's price, you can make tons of amp presets, by using VST plugins, Load a custom IR and moving the effect chain (i.e: adding Reverb after The Cabinet). You can use Nvidia RTX or Google colabs if you don't have Good GPU.
Cool demo dude. Did you do, or were you prompted to upgrade the firmware.? And if so where did you download it? Or does the app handle that automatically? Cheers from 🇳🇱

Depends on what you’re listening through
I am at a LOSS for why I would Need this when the 2 REAL amps I have already do all of this!
Well goody gumdrops. Not all of us are swimming in money or space for a full amp, much less two.

As more venues ban loud backline amps on stage, these things will be very necessary.
