When I was a garda working inside Limerick prison (during the prison officers strike) it opened my eyes to a lot. I did a lot of protection duty on the outside security boxes but when I was inside I noticed how prisoners were made to feel valued. They were given jobs and responsibility and had a sense of purpose and were on first name terms with some of the prison officers. I could see the gloom descend on them when their release date was coming close. It was obvious they were going to miss the routine and certainty of prison life and were almost dreading being released. That point was mentioned by one of the interviewers.
So rehabilitation does not happen in prison .why are there several references made to USA system and none to Norwegian Dutch or Portuguese drug treatments
10 garda on a homeless man in the city last week, Simon Community night staff members calling the homeless lad a scumbag. Only man helpful was paramedic who knew the lad.

Well done lads, thank you Kevin for your contribution.
By the way mandatory supervision, external supervision in ANY trauma services should be obvious!
Never let a Guard do anything for ya. They'll be looking for information off before too long, and you cant say no.

I'd well believe it Eileen.
Timmy you look uncomfortable across from the garda 👀👀👀👀
You can't trust 'em
Interesting opinion he has on racism when they discriminate on the travelling community
A nice gent I'd say! If I had that mentality I'd drown myself.
