You really managed to explain why I felt very sad after watching this movie, and to be honest, when I watch Indiana Jones, I want it to be fun and entertaining. I remember Spielberg saying that he suffered from depression when making "Temple of Doom" which is also quite gloomy. It does feel like the creators, were battling with inner demons. After watching I felt it would have been so much better with Marion or Sallah being there in the action.
What a superb review. Actually informative about the movie, really well put together + funny. The film sounds ghastly; a shame as I'd happily go along and see an old Harrison Ford playing a more upbeat Indy in a way that would be perfectly doable/disbelief-suspendible. Agree on the timetravel bs as well. Too-easy a get-out while not really getting out of anything: you end up thinking, 'well, every possible universe could now be existing alongside all the others or get changed once again, so why take an interest in this particular one?'
Thank you! Old depressed Indiana Jones is just not something I want to see. And in regards to time travel if your story is about time travel like Back to the Future or Terminator I'm OK with it, because that's what the story it's about. My issue is with stories that introduce time travel when they've never had it before, to me it just takes away the tension. Nothing really matters if you can just use time travel to correct it and that usually just introduces a lot of plot holes and makes things overly complicated for no good reason.
Harrison Ford did a great job back as Indy and I found some of the action to be fun but overall I just felt like this was a disposable feeling kind of movie and the 3rd act really didn’t work for me. I’d be lying if I said I wanted to watch this again.
Sorry i have to disagree! i didn't find anything according to you "depressing" i thought it was great and made up for crystal skull which wasn't that great. but everyone is entitled to their opinions
Really glad this video appeared in my suggested, this is such a well-constructed video!
No way you also have a destiny 2 video too?!? thanks for appealing to my exact current hyperfixations lmao
Imagine if that Renaldo character was Jock. It would have given his death on the boat so much more weight.
I like the idea that Fury and Transformers are the extended Mutt Williams universe and he’s actually immortal
finally my opinion dropped
To me it was just one last indiana jones film before Harrison Ford dies and I was right and I doubt we will ever get another one
Thanks for this video it’s nice to see a review from just a fan like myself
