Great video, thank you. For the block on point I would follow the instructions and match the triangles along the straight edge with the point overhanging as from the many videos I have watched this seems to be the consensus and then the block is trimmed to size. Hope this is ok…😊
Sounds great! Thanks for watching!
Wonderful, lots of handy dandy tips in this one. Thank you for spotting the mistake, I was wondering instead of using the templates, we can do paper piecing. I really like doing them that way. Your thoughts?
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I'm guessing you're asking about the Circling Swallow block for paper piecing. I LOVE paper piecing which is why I switch several of the blocks in this quilt to it. That said, I think regular piecing by using the templates is best for this block simply because of that center where 8 fabrics come together. And pressing open the seams is really key to making that center point nice and flat - which is difficult to do with paper piecing.
No quilt police here though. Do what works for you!
Thank you for your reply. I have read your response and after giving it thought. I will take your advice and use the template for the Circling Swallow block. Again, many thanks. @@myquiltlab5924
