Elite Series 2 is only great for about a year. I’m on my 2nd one after MS warrantied it twice. Bumper died on the first, and now on the replacement, the bumper sticks, the Y button gets stuck, and horrendous amounts of stick drift. My Xbox friends are also having similar issues with theirs almost a year later after we all bought them.
The absolute best thing about the wolverine V2 is the extra set of bumpers. You'd never realize how useful it is without using one, it surprises me more 3rd party controllers don't implement that.
One of the biggest finds I’ve came across is the Turtle Beach Recon Controller. Not only does it have a great feel to it, but it acts like a DAC/Amp that you can set multiple EQ and customized settings to it. My favorite of the year for sure!

OMG! How can you talk about the Scuf Instinct Pro without even mentioning the amazing backside paddles/buttons!!! They are the best designed and implemented back-of-the-controller buttons on any controller, including MS's own Elite controllers. This is the greatest budget xbox controller ever and out there right now. Hall Effect stick for no drifting, Hall Effect triggers so that the trigger do not wear out, and 250hz, 500hz, 1000, polling rate for seamless gameplay. This controller is better than almost every expensive controller out there. This controller is definitely in the top five of greatest xbox controllers of all time right now. Sorry but nothing beats this controller G7 SE. All these controller are under $50 for anyone that wants an budget xbox controller.
The elite series is great, but after a year or so, the RB or LB buttons tend to go out. I’m on my 4th set already. Been wanting to try out the scuff but they cost a pretty penny.
