This is kentucky hillbilly had to change my name due to my business just want to say thanks for this video its a life saver I finally got it started but it got hot using this I see where I went rong thanks brother
You are quite welcome wrong tern archery! I had planned to make a video like this because I had the same problem as you did. There are a lot of videos out there on the subject, but nobody shows the wiring! Thanks for giving me the kick in the butt to get it done! I figured as soon as I get it running reliably, I'll make the video, but I haven't got to it yet. Hope it works out well for you, mine is running awesome! 😊
Thanks Larry! A few more things on the 'need to do' list like a brake job - very important thing up on a ridge - and a few odds & ends on the three point hitch. I also have the lights to install, but so-far it has started every time and runs like a top!
Thanks Dave, It's my first electronic ignition conversion, and I must say I would never go back to points and condenser! … or 6-volts for that matter 😊
Can you do a video of the tractor powering on with the 12volt conversion/ with the electric start? Havent seen any like that and itd be nice to see how your hard work paid off! Im working on that right now.
There is a video like that. Not sure when it came out, but all of the videos in this series can be found in the Ferguson TO-20 Tractor playlist: ua-cam.com/video/gdC1VKxBkWw/v-deo.html I'm sure the video can be found there 😊
If you cannot find the video, let me know and I'll make one. The tractor is running just fine, but I'm having an issue with the brakes and will be fixing that soon. Good luck 😊
Watched several videos this is the best info so far . But I can’t get tractor to turn over it’s not getting power. Any suggestions? Would really like a email with your diagram. Took snap shot but couldn’t read . Thanks
My diagram will not work for tractors that are not using the exact parts that I did. I cobbled together the diagram for the tractor with the conversion kit's diagram, and added in the info from the coil and electronic ignition.
@@PlanetMojo I’m using same parts as your video . I just order electric ignition. Have one on it now but I think it’s a6v . Hopefully that’s what my issue is
It's been a while, but I believe the Pertronics coil made the difference. Not sure if it matters what the voltage is. All of those instructions were with the electronic ignition and the coil. The kit came with a resister, so it's likely you need it if not changing the coil or ignition.
@@PlanetMojo I hate to bother you but , I really could use your diagram. I installed electronic ignition,12vcoil one wire alternator, 12v battery, and I am having issues.
Mojo did your tractor use to have the push button start? None of the diagrams show the push button. Also back of my amp meter show a positive on both sides. So im assuming while looking at the back just treat left side as negative to alternator. Also thanks great video

Good morning from n/w ohio my 49 To 20 runs perfect with the 12 volt and pertronics. Have a great day mister!!!

@@dennyussery1021 I agree, the Pertronics coil and electronic ignition make a world of difference!
Hi Mojo, great vid the old girl will be as good as new soon, can't wait to see her in action.

Smart move going with electronic ignition. 👍 good job my friend, and i can't believe you ever cobble anything together 😊

You are quite welcome! 😊
Did you remove the old voltage regulator?
Yes

I could use a picture of your diagram you drew also please
Thats a great video!
Thanks Brian! 😊
Hi Mojo, so the coil is 12v, but if i keep the 6 volt coil i have to use the resistor, right?

Is there any way you can get me a picture of your diagram? I must be missing something. I can’t it 12v to work
I'll take a look for the diagram the next time I'm out in the machine shed.
@@PlanetMojo I would greatly appreciate it . Thanks for your help

Is that a 6v or 12v coil?
12V

Ferguson tractors don't have a push button.
