    Thank you for detailing this so well!! There were some things I had forgotten- you are correct that doctors all like to choose their own " stand firm meds"- i took birth control to even out for 45 days...had already gone to injection training- for stimulation meds my doctor had ordered follistem..and that was the harder one for me to give myself because..it goes into the tummy near belly button area..i wrestled with it..pacing back & forth..squimish...fearful...ugghh..but it became a prayer " GOD HELP ME AS I STUCK IT IN ..i remember the other med could be injected into my thigh...lupron..and the triggar shot approx 34-36 hours prior to retrieval was HCG. [Retrieval day..under general anethesia.. ( i.v.) or KNOCKED OUT..once i received my viable embryo count..doctor decided to transfer 2 embryos & freeze 8. Transfer day came...then 14 days of waiting until the morning blood draw pregnancy to confirm that i had one implanted baby ...then maybe 3-5 days later they checked again. Confirmed!! But, because 8i had hard time keeping pregnant in first trimester...i would have to receive progesterone in oil injections alternating sides of tailbone fleshy area just to the sides. [FOR 73 DAYS IN A ROW!!] My dear friend ( registered nurse) would give all of them but one day she had her nurse friend fill in. I went to her house daily at 930am for 72 days. This med comes airmail in cold pack bottles from california- the combo was thick like maple syrup and very cold. The needles then had to be much thicker- ANYWAY the first week i had bruises big time & injecting over past inhection sites grew quite pzinful- but my IVF miracle just turned 13 years old on december 8th!! He is an outstanding blessing ..more than ❤ mere words can express

The doctors are also not sure what is the reason behind this infertility. They are also unable to tell me that weather i will conceive or not. So with the passing age i have decided to go for surrogacy. But as in Bulgaria surrogacy is not allowed. I am moving with my husband to Ukraine. I heard there are many good clinics for surrogacy.

Im so nervous especially after research different peoples stories. My doctors aren’t as informative and I feel like they are so busy that my questions aren’t fully answered. How did you feel with the shots before retrieval? Did they make you bloated, were you very emotional? Are the trigger injections painful?? I’m supposed to start my trigger injections either Friday or Saturday depending on my ultrasound tomorrow.. uhhhhhhh I’m so emotional and I’m trying not to stress but this process is hard and expensive. And now that I see that some don’t take on the first cycle I’m even more stressed and worried if I don’t take will we be able to financially support another cycle

    Good info! How often did you get progress reports on the embryo growth? Any particular reason why your doctor doesn’t do fresh transfers?

    • @FruitfulMyFertilityJourney
      @FruitfulMyFertilityJourney  6 років тому +3

      Thanks! We got reports on Day 1, 3, 5 and in my case, Day 6 as well, since they had to let them all grow an extra day. My RE feels that frozen transfers had higher success rates. He said he feels doing a fresh transfer is too much on the body and that having that extra month to recover from stims, retrieval, etc. gives the best chances for a successful transfer. Also, he is a firm believer in PGS testing, so doing an FET is necessary in order to have time to biopsy and test the embryos!

    Hi. Can you explain a bit the timeline, in relation to cycle days? Like, preparation before stimms, at what time in the cycle does that start, etc. Also, perhaps some hormone levels measured at specific points in the procedure. What should those levels be? Thank you, you're adorable!

    • @FruitfulMyFertilityJourney
      @FruitfulMyFertilityJourney  5 років тому

      Thank you! Once your cycle starts you begin your birth control or whatever your dr uses for suppression. When that phase is over it takes about a month from stims to retrieval and then the next cycle will be transfer if you are doing a frozen transfer. As far as hormone levels I am not sure, I know they continue to check your estrogen to ensure it is rising but not getting too high and indicating ovulation! Best of luck!

    There are different steps of IVF. The doctors can treat you by first step to last step. We don't know their steps.Biotexcom clinic is in Ukraine. They would easily do their treatment in this way. The patient will satisfy and he recover its health very fastly.

    I appreciate you doing this. why did you choose ivf vs iui? I was told I have an 8% chance for iui and there is a 52% ivf.

    Thanks so much for this video. Everything is explained very well. I have a question about lining. What happen if the lining is not thick enough after your embryo is ready? Is there a medication to increase the thickness?

    • @FruitfulMyFertilityJourney
      @FruitfulMyFertilityJourney  6 років тому

      Rooney Mara Thank you! Yes meds can help increase the lining. If the lining doesn't increase then they can cancel the transfer until next cycle.

    You are lucky that get full anaesthesia. We only get local anaesthesia and a few drugs during the procedure. We have to stay awake in Norway ;)

    Thanks for this great video and pardon me in advance for what might be an ignorant question, but @ 8:04 you say they "called you back" and had 3 more embryos to freeze. Does this mean that, at first they determined you to have 8, then 4, then 1... and then they found 3 others? Were these 3 from the previous batch of 4?

    • @FruitfulMyFertilityJourney
      @FruitfulMyFertilityJourney  6 років тому

      On day 5 the embryos were not quite ready to freeze! So they called me on day 6 to tell me that the 4 were fully developed and ready to be frozen. Letting embryos grow to day 6 is a new thing, they used to only allow them to grow for 5 days! I started with 8 and ended with 4 - the others were not good quality or fully developed.

    This was such an informative video! Thank you for sharing it. I am sure so many people are going to use this information. Generally, when you are on the infertility journey there are so many things you are unaware of. I think that is what I experienced. One of the reasons why before opting for biotexcom I made sure to research on my own. Once I was satisfied I contacted them. So far everything is going great I am really excited to start this journey.

    I have my intake next month I just want to ask you how does the overy stimulation work? Do you start the injections your day two period or after the period, before the period? Also they already check my blood test and ultrasound back in June and now they said they have to do another blood tests for me and my husband. What normally happen after your intake ? Exactly when does the ivf start it? Your first day period?

    • @FruitfulMyFertilityJourney
      @FruitfulMyFertilityJourney  6 років тому +1

      You would start stims after your period. You usually have a cycle then get bloodwork/ultrasound and start stims. The IVF cycle begins when you have a new cycle, you usually let your dr know when your period starts so they can begin the process. Good luck 🙏🏽❤
