    The 2nd gen ZR2 was known to have weak tie rods. Since they didn't redesign them ,I would definitely put sleeves on. It was the first mod I did on my 23 ZR2. Gonna install the Eibach coil overs on the front with a 1" puck and add a leaf to the rear . Just waiting on my wheels to come in.

    Just curious, did you do a diff drop with the spacers? Also, just a heads up, after I did my 1 1/4 " Level kit on my 2020 ZR2my sway end links wore out pretty quick. Just ordered level ups ZR2 end links and sway bar upgrade relocation kit to fix the knocking noise from sway bar linkage.level ups end links are 1" longer so it should work better with leveling spacers

    • @Coyotezr2
      @Coyotezr2  29 днів тому +1

      I did not do the diff spacer but will when I go up another inch in the front. And I’ll keep my ears open about issues with sway bar links in the 3rd gen’s after lifting. I haven’t heard anything like any yet. Appreciate the advice.

      The I’ll do the other spacer in the front and hear once I do get 35s what did you go with for the rear end? Shackle or add a leaf?

    • @east_coast_stickbow
      @east_coast_stickbow Місяць тому +1

      I went with the shackle just because i don’t have much experience with add a leafs and I’m scared they could eventually start to sag. Did you torque anything to spec or just kind of snug it up? I tend to over think crap haha

    • @Coyotezr2
      @Coyotezr2  Місяць тому

      @@east_coast_stickbow I just snugged it up made it all tight but didn’t crank anything to tight if that makes sense. And I plan on doing the shackle as well. And doing the add a lead isn’t bad I’ve seen some videos. Involves cutting clamps off. But that’s only really needed if you’re going to have a lot of weight in the back. Like a rtf. Be careful when you put the lower spacer in to not let the spring rotate on ya. Other than that you’ll be golden.

    • @east_coast_stickbow
      @east_coast_stickbow Місяць тому +1

      Right on.. i guess the ball joint isn’t like the cotter pin style where you can make it to tight. I got the cce preload spacer so i plan to just compress the spring and then it’s two pieces.

    • @Coyotezr2
      @Coyotezr2  Місяць тому +1

      @@east_coast_stickbow there no cotter pins thankfully lol. And the tire rod and sway bar link both just require a 10 mm on the stud while you loosen the nut.

    8:22 removing the shock was a lot smoother than getting them off the Broncos! We had to remove the hub to get the LCA low enough for it to drop out!

    • @Coyotezr2
      @Coyotezr2  Місяць тому +1

      Good question. I have not seen any issues related to the tie rods having issues. Level up sells some sleeves that I will probably put on my tie rods at some point just to be safe

      Idk. I didn’t ask the dealer. If I notice any issues with it I’ll take off the spacers and then bring the truck in 🤫 lol but in all seriousness if I had any issues with shocks they would probably find a way to blame the spacers.
