7 Days to Drown
7 seconds to drown, one day to die of thirst and hunger XD
@@janneaalto3956LOL. So true!
I do like this series. I might actually be able to survive this game after watching you play.
I'm here to support anything that isn't 7 days to die.
Something that becomes extra relevant in speedruns (a thing this game can have on account of having a finished story) is that resources are given out in batches or "buckets". You can Google the exact numbers, but basically for every X limestone, there's always a fixed number of titanium and copper, every Y sandstone has a fixed number of lead, gold, and silver. The order you get any of it is random, but everything is eventually guaranteed. Imagine such a thing, a normalized loot system that actually encourages you to venture forth by guaranteeing that you'll get what you need instead of bashing your head against the same buildings over and over trying to find books.
I feel like this comment is directed at another game but i simply can't figure out why
Well this system is amazing and works well with Subnautica but it can have it flaws with games like Project Zomboid.
In Pz a lot of people stop enjoying the game because they knew what the perfect place to get the vest loot in the couples of days.
Specifically, it randomizes by groups. The first two limestone will have 1 copper, 1 titanium, either order. The next two randomize likewise. Shale and sandstone randomize by 3's, but it's still a guarantee that if you get 9 shale, you will have 3 diamond, 3 gold, and 3 lithium. Relatively straightforward, and I find just knowing helps keep frustration at bay.
@@wilfridberjot519 PZ already has randomized loot (it's % chance spawns out of different loot tables for different categories of containers), and making it completely random would be extremely counter-intuitive and go against parts of the realism aspect. I think what becomes the problem is that the map is the same every time-- this is pretty much identical to 7dtd where basically everyone with more than like 10 hours of experience plays on randgen worlds because navezgane gets boring very quickly. In 7dtd, however, random maps and even more random/arbitrary loot compounds together to make the experience of looting pretty terrible if you approach it as a survival sandbox.
The random spawn locations in PZ does some work to alleviate this, but if it's going for a more haphazard, improvisational style of gameplay, aspects of the map itself need to be more unpredictable. Moving the physical locations of different types of buildings is a possibility, but that could be a bit of an extreme measure. You could instead have random parts of larger buildings be collapsed at worldgen, have more variance in the concentration of zombies, block roads with stuff at random, etc. The idea is to keep the destination largely the same but spice up the journey that you take there.
For right now, I guess you could just go install a map mod. That might shake things up enough.
I didn't know you were allowed to play an actual finished game.
Subnautica is an awesome game. Also, it is a finished game.
I love watching 7 days to die, but im genuinely hyped for a subnautica playthrough.
20 episodes Subnautica series, let's go!!!
A game with an actual storyline! What a novel concept!! 😂😂
Also, you should try feeding a Stalker a Peeper. You can do it with a Reaper too.
For anyone playing along at home, a few tips that _might_ be of help
-Eating a Bladderfish raw provides the player with oxygen. Don't ask me why.
-You can carry extra oxygen tanks in your inventory for your deep dives. Note that you will have to equip empty tanks to refill them.
One of my favorite games ever. One of the most unique exploration games that I can think of.
Subnautica was my gateway game into the survival crafter genre. This is a very wonderful thing for me; it is not so wonderful for my bank account. The best name for the pod radio is Preston Garvey as it is always marking things on your map.
Just leaving you some engagement, and I hope that the YT algorithm likes your channel for subnautica content when the new game comes out
fun fact, you can also eat bladderfish raw for 15 extra seconds of oxygen.
so bizarre, i literally just started playing this again a week ago for the first time in years and here you are lmao
This game felt so magical when i played it years ago until i destroyed my sub in lava. Cant wait to see you go deeeep daddy 😂 thanks for playing this!
Fun fact: Crashfish suck at turning, so you can give them the slip on the last second or two before they explode
A good tip(might require the scooter) but with the sulfur fish if you wait until they start charging and then dash at them there momentum carries them far enough away that you usually don't get hurt.
Nice choice!😊
This is good stuff! I've been too chicken to play myself but I'm looking forward to your play through. This is a good fit IMO and I hope you see returns on it.
Omg a finished game that's never heard of. 7dtd take notes.
I'm in for some Subnautica, and it was enjoyable to watch you play a dang game you enjoy. I'll be here for episode 2 when it drops.
I've been on a subnautica kick lately, so it's nice to see a familiar face playing the game.
A small bit of a spoiler: you can spare the sunbeam, just stop listening to the radio messages after getting the first sunbeam message, it will freeze the sunbeam story line until you are ready to continue it.
that surfacing quickly gadget is decompression sickness waiting to happen
I enjoy watching any survival game from you pls keep doing others not just 7 days to die
I actually really like subnautica and i find it awesome that you play other games other than 7dtd.
Cool video! Definitely looking forward to continuing this series and seeing what games you play in the future. Not that I hate the 7dtd but I have shared many of your complaints and it’s clear you need another challenge
13:30 must be all the plastic in the ocean that the bladderfish has eaten and you switch the inside to the outside
Let the crash fish swim towards you, then swim where they came from, they don't turn around well
which is somewhat explained in the databank entry.
Wait??? Do what??? I'm going to enjoy this!!!
Ahhhh, SUbnautica: I suddanly remember my firt encounter with a Reaper Leviathan :) What an awesome game this is :)
really enjoying a fresh start from you prebuilt, especially with such a beloved game
I'm hitting a big thumb up for Subnautica, one of the greatest survival games
There’s gonna be a 3rd SUBNAUTICA 🤯
Yes and hilariously, if that 3rd subnautica comes out before 7dtd leaves alpha, Unknown Worlds (a company that has about the same employees as TFP) will have created 3 games with more depth, story and content than 7 days to die, in the time it took TFP to make one single 7dtd. (and actually, tfp would have the advantage because they started a couple years earlier)
Hell ya!! Just finished my third playthrough yesterday. Perfect timing.
not used to this chirpy IZ, normally 7d2d jaded IZ , must have really been looking forward to this playthrough.
Always love a good subnautica playthrough
Now, this is content!!
How did I not get a notification UA-cam?
I do really enjoy watching Subnautica playthroughs, it shows me how bad I was playing the game. Looking forward to the rest of this series! and because I am required to by law; good to see a game that actually left early access >.>
I love this game! I think the last time I played it was 5 years ago... Maybe I'll play it again soon...
I go caving and water is indeed spooky in caves. Thankfully no kamikaze or man eating fish to deal with, though.
Still a true pleasure to see that amazing game
No that's not the voice in your head that's not till the sequel lol
Also glad to see you do a series on a game you actually enjoy lol
this is not my perferred type of game to watch, but for you, watch i will!!!
I love this game and I look forward to this series!
this is cool, glad to see you play this
This is refreshing. That zombie game can stay somewhere else for now
just love this game, and happy to see You finish the game :D
Excellent choice, it's been years since I played Subnautica. I may have to give it another run.
Yes! More of this please yes!
HOO, your ears and assorted bits would not appreciate ascending so quickly from 100m. But who knows, the pressure might be different or there might well be tech keeping the bends at bay. And, well, gameplay reasons. This looks like a really fun game.
Drokk yea! I love Thalassophobia Generator 9000!!
My headcanon is that SubNautica is happening in some primitive NoCoZo-affiliated hinter regions in the Orion's Arm universe.
Hello I loved the early game play please keep going and I wanted to add a bit of a help if you want to keep food where it does not go bad then just keep it and don't cook it it will not degrade this is a bit of a cheat but a little glitch I think
No waaayyy dude... Love this game. I'll happily come back to the channel to watch you play some of this for a while bro.
-Cru
Good mods for this game to.
For some reason I thought mesmers were only in Below Zero. I probably thought that because I had never actually seen them in game
Naw we call it seaweed too. Kelp is just like . . . the more official name.
I'm trying to figure out what I'm reading on the wikipedia pages, but i don't think kelp and seaweed are exactly the same thing
@@user-zr9hu3tf1y Just saying that we also call kelp seaweed in the states. He said we likely call it kelp instead of seaweed, and we call it both.
Really good game! One of my all time favourite game.
Came for the salt, stayed for the saltwater.... love subnautica thanks for giving it some attention.
yessss i love subnautica
i played farsky than subnautica years ago but now i want to play it :D
Yay I love this game!
Very enjoyable.
I don't know if it's my phone or if it's UA-cam being weird, but when I clicked on the notification, it backed out of UA-cam and I had to go back into UA-cam into the subscribers list to find your video.
you can (un)pin items while in the fabricator. no need to go to the blueprints
I knew the comments wouldn’t fail me 🤣 all the 7d2d not finished, not out of alpha, not having a story, not having a proper loot system. 🤣 I love how we all think the same 😂 💜
Two thumbs up! More please!
You can get your food bar over 100. Do the math right so it is just below 100 and then eat some big in food like a nutrient block or anything else and it’ll always give you full value for that food but you’ll have to wait for the value to get below 100 again before you can repeat the process.
Also, thank you for not sound what I do and get OCD about scanning EVERYTHING.
Finally playing a good game!
I would absolutely love to see you Play more story line based games I person suggest resident evil 7
Looks decent for a youtube series, quite crafting heavy and micromanagy, but it might grow on me, maybe we get more monsters and shit later on
It isn’t that bad once you get the basics done.
not too many "monsters" in this game. most are nuisances.. except for the leviathan class creatures.. game is really more about the journey than survival.. once you get more advanced tech, food and water is very easy
Love the soundtrack and it's going to be ginda painful
Original was awesome, Below Zero destroyed everything that was funny and unique in the first one.
lets gooo
Lol umm fire extinguisher can be used early game to ascend faster so you don't drown before you get a seaglide
I think i prefer the Air Bladder because it's dirt cheap and automatically refills.
I am so down for this series. My thalassophobia has always stopped me from being able to play this game, so I love watching others enjoy it.
So I'm curious how far you played before.. if you've got the subs?
in the bright side 99999 hours is only 11 years. haha
Not sure if you've played it they far before so i won't say where it's at, but there is an island that on your 2nd playthrough is one of the first places i go (once I get the seaglide) along with building the fabricator to start a proper base. The airbladder is somewhat helpful in the first game but amazing in below zero
I got so bored waiting sorry I watched this 2 more times for the fun of it 😅
Hope you do finish the game. It's sad in a way when you rocket off the planet. The game taps into your emotions just enough.
Why is your effects moving in slow motion?
When you say you've never finished the game yourself, do you know what happens or will it be a first time reaction?
I know the story yes.
did you mess with the game files ? looking at those sparks in the pod tells me you tried tampering with it maybe for the sake of a speed run.
No my game has always been like that. It was a fresh install when i started the series and i've never modded subnautica.
Why would I do a speedrun? I literally said in this video that i've never finished subnautica.
@@IzPrebuilt then something is messed up. the sparks would never go in slow motion like that. should verify gamefiles and check you firewall/antivirus to see if it blocks any files. would suck if the game encounter a fatal error after many hrs and corrupt the save.
Game is fine, I verified integrity: it was fine, reinstalled the game: still slow fx, updated graphics drivers: still slow fx, fiddled with every graphics setting: still slow
It's probably just a hardware issue.
Game runs perfectly fine regardless and I make manual backups of the saves in all games I use in my youtube series anyway because 7dtd is such an easy game to corrupt saves in, i learned to just make backups anyway.
Now that i've wasted like 30 minutes of my life fixing a problem that doesn't seem to even exist I'm going to go back to just not caring about this issue.
@@IzPrebuilt i did some research. several people had that exact same issue. it will also affect the stasis rifle. i cant find a fix for it anywhere. best option i can see is contact support with a log file and hope they can come up with a fix that fit your setup. sorry youre now 30 min short XD
@@IzPrebuilt apparently It's intended. Linked to the "lightning flashes" option in the accessibility options.
To help people with flashing light issues.
just got the answer.
Just keep Swimming…
Subnautica is great, BZ not so much. BZ isn't bad, it just is a pale imitation of the original with some really annoying voice acting and above ground area's. Not all the voice acting and script is bad, there are some good parts. It was just a little bit disjointed because of dev's swapping out the original writer and redoing the story. I do hope that the 3rd game is as good as the first.
😂😂😂😂
Promo-SM
Alright Lets test if its babies playing Subnautica or People.
Have you ever been scared by something in the game and what.
Mine was when a i had a fucking sea dragon kill me without me even see it
Nope. Wrong game. Play Green Hell for the best pure survival experience. 😁
Or just play this, who cares actually, you could as well BBQ feral pigs and trim Schnitzel, I'd watch.
There are venereal diseases more enjoyable than green hell
@@IzPrebuilt 😁
not able to swim around 3 stalkers? sounds like an skill issue. XD
btw.. I think you got still to much ''7days to die'' on your brain.. Subnautica don't hate fun, that is just 7days to die and the funpimps. XD
Don't play below zero it's not as good as the original game
it's like a DLC to the original game. It's great. It's just not as magical as the 1st time playing the 1st game. To say "don't play below zero it's not as good hurr hurr" is sheer ignorance
while it isn't as good, it is quite good. It reveals all of the lore you don't get in the first game.. Alan is the best part though
u surprised me with the subnautica series. i love it. please dont rush it and enjoy :) 7dtd will be there for you when u return to it
Oh I loved this game! so happy to see u trying something else luvs P!
I don't get it. How is this game supposed to be enjoyable without asinine levels of RNG? And it's got all this, I don't know, what's the word... Polish?
