I love watching this channel, i learn a lot. For instance, Whites company. WOW, they gave the whole crew their boots. That alone tells me that company is serious about their product and take pride in their work. That makes me want to go get a pair now. It's now my favorite Moc Toe. My Danner's Bull Run where my favorites. Still in good shape after 3 plus years of wear. I am getting them resoled. But the Perry's are working out just fine. Perfect for my job as a truck driver. I am ordering a pair of 6 inch Perry's in Tobacco Stampede as well. I use my Thursdays for weekends only. You are right about them for not being a true work boot..Thanks for another good video. I guess I am your most Moc Toe enthusiasts out here...
I’ve been beating the piss out of my perrys for about 6 months and they’ve held up very well and are super comfortable, thanks for the videos since that’s what turned me on to them
Definitely White's Moc toe #1. Those upgrades fixed the problems. Plus, you get to choose different Seidel leather colors. Hands down White's.

I just ordered these in British Tan, my sizing was between the D&EE, so Whites recommended I send in a tracing and measurements of my feet. They are going to send me try on pair in the size they recommended. Customer service it excellent!

Ordered my Perry Select's the second they dropped! I got the Tobacco Stampede because I couldn't take my eyes off how beautiful that color was! As far as MITUSA goes, I'd move it to 1 because the Double Shot leather is better then the JK'S. I have a pair of JK 300 and love them but I am just a sucker for a killer Moc Toe.
How would you compare sizes between Perry and JK300?
#1 for me. I like my Perry's so much I ordered a custom pair of their MP Shermans. Now I want these....

as a spokane local ive been really wanting some nicks but reality some thing in this price range is more in my budget also cool to see like this and some of the other boots are named after diffrent parts of town
My favorite Moctoe is the Redwing herratige for sure.
I’ve had the original Perry for about 18 months. The brown leather has aged and patinaed magnificently. I’m sure the Doubleshot is great, but not sure it would look any better than my boots do now. I wear custom orthotics, so the leather shank wouldn’t do much for me. I’ve had no problems at all with the cardboard counter, which is sandwiched between thick thunks of leather anyway. The new Perry Select looks great, but the “problems” it fixed aren’t really problems, IMHO.
White select definitely looks like #1 to me. Better shank and WAY prettier tongue than the JKs, better sole attachment. Easily worth 30$ to me but only 11 dollars extra. Beautiful and tempting!
Btw, any thunderdome update on your Aldens? Are they still intact?

I finally got me the Perry Select in Tobacco Stampede. I can't describe how great, oily and supple this leather is. I think it's going to be a patina monster. The Perrys are surprisingly comfortable right out of the box. I only have one hot spot on my left foot in the instep area. I love these boots. Thanks for the video. Keep them coming. I love your vid on the C350s. I have some Millwoods and they seem quite similar, but with a Cristy sole instead of the 2021. Anyways, great vid.

I have the second iteration of the regular Perry's with the vibram sole and they're fantastic. My only gripe was the insole. I took it out and bought some 7oz veg tan and made my own leather insoles and now they feel like a true heritage boot.
Are you worried about that heel counter? That is the only detail I'm concerned about long-term
@@NogGonnaMakeIt not at all. I've been wearing them 8hr/day 4-5 days a week for over a year and the counters are in the same condition as when I bought them.

Just got my Perry Select's....break in started, but to new to really know anything besides I think they're great looking boot!
I have a pair of Perrys and a pair of Millwoods from White's that I use for work as a carpenter. I've loved both, but I wish they had some sort of toe stiffener and a lining leather that wasn't black. Through the time owning the perry's, the toe box has collapsed and began suffocating my toes. The Millwoods have yet to feel suffocating, but both styles leave my feet with jet black and brown dye marks after long days in unforgiving conditions (especially in the Tennessee humidity).
I like the quick cameo by the c350 cs. It was like showing the roided-out, more handsome older brother for a second.
Number one!!! The leather alone is worth it. Just look at the PATINA on that chair!!!
Carolina’s US constructed moc toe uses tobacco stampede leather. Looks great. It’s a little too soft for me in a work environment. I’m a cabinetmaker and also do remodeling. My White’s 350 Cruiser in cinnamon waxed flesh have held up better in every way other than the squeak in the midsole that started after 1 year of abuse.

i would have to say it would be number one. I love my perrys but Im going to have to get a pair of these just off of the leather.
I have the regular perry's. That counter is stupid and made me wish I went with something else. Now that they broke in, they are fine and I enjoy wearing them.

I've got the 6" in British tan. I love them. Comfortable, albeit heavy. Gorgeous. Even more so as they patina and break-in. I've got a few pairs of really good boots, and these are among my most worn. If I ever wear these out (I doubt I will, honestly) I would absolutely get them again. Probably. Those Red Wings, tho...😊

I just got my burgundy double shot perry selects. The color is beautiful, put some LP on and it made it slightly darker but even better looking. Only minor inconvenience is the heel is a bit rough at first, and i had to add a nicks leather insole underneath the stock insole because i guessed half a size too big. But man these boots are quality, closest comparison i have is to thorogoods and danners and its not even close. I will say the danners are more comfy but they are almost a tennis shoe
Love your videos man, wish you'd review the Idrese nuno, they claim they're 4 times as resilient to creasing as other luxury shoes.
White’s sent me an email preview of these a couple weeks back. For the price point, I think these might be the best moc toe boots on the market.
Just received my pair and I love them. I have wore red wings 877 for years but never like the little arch support and thinner leather. Whites Perry fixed all that and the select is an even better choice but the one complaint I would still have is that the tongue isn’t gusseted higher up. That is one thing red wing has done better in my opinion especially if using for work in the northwest like where I’m from in Seattle and water is always a concern.
Had to return 2 pairs because the shank was popping right out of the box. I’ll def give the upgraded version a try

I have a White's Fulton Moc Toe with the same type of leather that's in the Perry. I believe the insole might be synthetic though. It's a good boot. But I'm really excited about the Stampede Leather. I love my Red Wing 875s but the White's Moc Toes tend to fit me much better. The Red Wing's last is just too narrow for my foot. The Stampede Leather is really close to that good ol Moc Toe color too. And IMO White's makes a superior boot to Red Wing. I do still love Red Wing and I always will. For the money you can't beat em. But I also have two pairs of 350 Cruisers (one for work and one for casual wear). And honestly it's probably the most comfortable boot I've ever owned. Love my Nicks Robert Boots and they are superior quality to the 350 Cruisers. But I find the 350 Cruisers more comfortable for sure. I really want a pair of Perry Select Moc Toes in Stampede though. I remember buying whites smokejumpers for $250 back in 2005. I was 17 years old had just graduated and used all my graduation money to buy a set to head to the oil fi’ with. I had worn. Hawthorne boots through high school.
Cut apart some Allen Edmonds boots! Also made in USA under 400 during annual sale.
I’d like to have these for riding my motorcycle. $400 is a lot for boots but these look really cool and I imagine they are comfy as well

You're going to make consider these selects. I had to return my perry's because the popping noise from the shank was downright embarrassing.
I've had my Perry's for 4 months or so and honestly I can't wear any of my other shoes anymore. I was going to get a pair of 300s to bounce between buuuuuuuut, I love my Perry's so maybe an upgrade is in order. I wear them for work in a factory. Not super dirty but hard on my feet use.

If you're thinking of getting a pair, I've done everything from spike camp backcountry trail work to landscaping to factory work on a concrete floor in them, done 12 mile days in the mountains in them with a 40 lb pack and a chainsaw, etc. Used one, and only one, pair to the end of their lifespan. I also served two seasons of trail crew in a pair of White's, so I can compare and contrast. I second your suggestion, I would LOVE to see them cut in half. Preferably the 2233, the most iconic.
My whites Perry are going 2 years strong with heavy use. About to resole them. Easily have at least another year or two

Sooo comfortable right out of the gate! I wear 8” Thorogoods for work and I almost think the Perry’s are not only higher quality/look better but feel as comfortable as my Thorogoods
What size thorogoods do you usually wear? Did you downsize like whites website says or no?

But when they were new and for the first month or so they were kinda tight in the toe box and a hair long.
If I could go back and do my Thorogoods again I would get 10.5 E/EE.
@@full_metal2452 I’m a 11E on the brannock and a narrow heel (measured by a red wing store computer) I have a Thorogood in 10EE and it fits well. I think I’m gonna get a 10EE in Perry Selects when I order them. Your experience confirms my suspicions. Thank you! And enjoy your boots!

Bedos Leatherworks has several vidoes that explain the types of welds and which ones are best for what. You have to watch him fix a pair of boots to get the info but its quite fun..

if you get the original perry on the yearly sale, you are looking at a 260.00 pair of boots, if they don't match the discount with the selects, than the original is the clear winner, just buy them at the right time of year. My Perry's are great, but I still prefer my Chippewa Edge Walkers. PLEASE REVIEW THE "Edge Walker", I would love to know how they stack up with the competition because they feel awesome on the foot.

I hope they upgraded the Vibram sole. I've only worn my original Perry's maybe a total of 80-90 work days (9 hours average each days), so maybe a total of 800 hours since I have had them and the soles are worn smooth. I walk an average of 5 miles a day, so maybe just 450-500 miles total. I am cautious even spending money to get them resoled if they don't last. I have another pair of Whites and one pair of Franks with small lug Vibram soles and they are miles improvement for wearability.
I love my Perry’s for comfort the only complaint is they have no insulation for some cold my wolverines were warmer because of a little lining

Got to be number 1!!! JKs though great boot I got all that synthetic foam where the lineman shank goes. Though I do love the hand lasting the tongue is just so flimsy!! I rather have the white's. Though I like my JKs too I think I'd like the perry selects a bit better with all that lovely veg tan leather

I love "the Perry" I have 2 pair.
I think the Perry select is more for the money compared to the JKs for the $100+ dollar difference. I may have to get a pair of the Select so I can use my Perrys for work. They're too nice at this point but that nice leather may supplant the standard Perry.
Can you do a Red Wing King Toe video sometime? Curious on whether the toe is expansive as they say for my wide feet. Usually have to get my boots sized to the widest a company offers like H width and so forth, which is why I enjoy your videos as I get an idea for other things to look for besides toe width.

I have a pair of Travelers on the way so White’s won't be getting my business in the near future. But I just wanted to chime in and say Seidel is where Nicks gets their work leathers. So don't be afraid to take the selects to work.
Though if I were to get a wedge sole from White’s I would get the Journeyman or Foreman. The Perry is nice but it kind of erks me that they don't offer rebuilds on any of their goodyear boots. It's no secret they are going after Red Wings with these. But I don't see any upside to going with White’s over Red Wing at this price point.

Love your video's, just a shame White's boots are not available in Europe. Shipping them is against a pretty hefty plus charge.
I would be really interested in seeing you review a set of Keen Cincinnati wedge sole with the Carbon-Fiber Toe.
I have a pair of the Cincinnati Mocs and I would never spend the money again. The sole rubber separated in the 3rd week. Keen gave me a credit to buy new boots, so good on them, but I am reluctant to buy Cincinnatti boots again. I use them to mow lawn now since the traction is not worn down at all.
I noticed the split section reveal has now changed from a slow-mo to a zoom. I think a dolly zoom will make it cooler, but that's just me.
