This device is so cool and so much fun, like not only is the device itself great, but the weapons by themselves are just so satisfying and fun to use! I'm convinced these swords and hammers are coming to BR at some point because NO WAY did they make a whole bunch of melee weapons THIS good just for Creative. While yes there aren't a few things that people want, it IS in Open Beta, so bugs, incomplete-ness and all that are going to be a thing. It is thus, the main way Epic make money off this game, and therefore it is probably the one that gets the most priority. Then they will keep working on what makes them the most money. To put it simply, BR is still what makes the most money and therefore, gets priority over Creative, until Creative 2.0 comes out and presumably makes even MORE money and then the priorities switches. All of this to say, I just want to use the Melee stuff in BR and I can't believe they made such good stuff just for Creative.
I actually messaged the creator of The Vault FFA and configure him 6 different type of melee weapons for His map, so try them out hehe I'm also planning to share the same config to Geerzy, the creator of The Pit FFA but yet he didn't replied my DM on Twitter :'l but he answered me on a tweet that he will add the melee to The Pit

I’ve been messing around for the past two days with the melee maps, here’s some tips for the melee weapons: - Don’t just spam your regular attack. Putting yourself in a 50/50 situation is really is easy if you just run into someone and start swinging. By pressing tac. Run and then attack, you can do a dash attack. You can also do an air attack by jumping and attacking. (You can even get more range by dodging and then attacking in the air) -Use the dodge to get out of bad situations. If your attack whiffs, don’t try to continue. Most the time, you’ll end up in a situation that’ll get you killed. Reposition and try again. - You can jump over or dodge some attacks easily. Drill attacks can be jumped over, the same with dash attacks, so do try and be careful about that. You can also easily dodge ground pounds as well. (Extra note, you can dodge while charging with the sword, so you can do a dodge in the air to get more space for a move) Understanding these things are what’s helped me on most melee maps. Also, just putting it out there, in most cases the sword is better than the hammer because of the charge dodge (can hold a charge while dodging), but other than that, it’s purely preference. Hope this helped those wanting to get better.
I hope we get a normal scythe weapon, I don't feel like the Sideways Scythe fits very well with aesthetic of my map, I feel like a normal scythe would work swimmingly.
We need a weapon manager so we can change weapon names and damage and weapon rarity so I can have the look of the gray assault rifle but have it glow gold or have no rarity glow option

I hope the melee designer device could later change the pull out of the swords and hammers as well increase or decrease their swing speeds since imo they're a bit to long mainly if you want to use them against shotguns or smgs since having good damage per attack Is not enough if you're going to get shot before you could even do an attack while see the annoying "can't do that now"

There will be. They are still working on an axe, a greatsword, a power sword (like the infinity blade), a katana, and a gladiator sword (which has the same swing as a lightsaber).
By far the best attack for the swords, It just adds too much mobility for It, hope we could also change the Dodge travel distance as well the swing speed/pull out of the melee weapons
The possibilities that epic has due to these two are virtually limitless, imagine they can add katanas, sythes (regular sized), nunchucks, and sais just so many possible additions which is just the tip of the iceberg
My custom Melee weapons lose all of their changes once I start the game, I've been trying to use them in a class designer and they just revert to the original stats, does anyone know how to fix this? If it helps, the weapons work fine before I start the game, so maybe it's just a setting that i've got wrong.

Only thing that didn’t work for me what when I changed the setting to cost energy ( 10 energy ) then I would use it for a bit. Eventually it wouldn’t work. My energy bar was full though
Another EPIC Fortnite Memory Glitch With Update 21.50 Since the last Fortnite memory bug, that was quickly squashed, it seemed that all was good in the Fortnite world again. But hold on…. the bug is BACK!! AND IT’S HUGE!! Many of my maps are pushing, or near the 100k mark. I haven’t checked all my maps yet, but I will now. The problem for me, and I’m sure for many other builders, is you can still get into your map, but you won’t have the option to add or fix anything in it. This new 21.50 memory bug adds 5k to 30k+ more memory to your custom Creative completed playable maps! If a builder goes over 100k… your map breaks, and your map can’t be played! But… for me… when a map is over memory, the game won’t give me the START GAME button option… until the memory is below the limit EPIC wants. The majority of my maps, are like this. They are close to 100k, but still playable. After the last memory bug… almost all my maps BROKE. Now with this new memory bug, I’m just about done with Fortnite. That’s like someone kidnapping your kid… and the FBI won’t take your calls! So, if the majority of my maps are broken again, and EPIC won’t fix their 21.50 update memory blunder… I will STOP all Creative map building. My broken maps would be a waste of time dealing with again. And I won’t go back to a completed map, just to rip it down, to fit it in EPIC’s memory hole. And, if 100k stays the memory limit for Creative 1.0 maps, just so cell phones can play a broken game… and memory can’t be reduced for the props and devices we use… it will be time to find a new hobby. There should be an option for a jump attack to be disabled. Also, my sprint attack doesn't do damage... is that just me or is it a bug?
yeah theres a bug where sometims the weapon just stops doing damage. Just respawn or change weapon

I’ve been messing around for the past two days with the melee maps, here’s some tips for the melee weapons:

A katana should be a skin for a sword not it’s own weapon imo

Basic Hammer only has three combo attacks but says theres four and final combo attack doesn't damage environment
When I try to put it in a supply drop it turns into a basic sword

You can't unfortunatly, but for now... Hope they change this, swing speeds feels a bit slow mainly for swords
For 2.0 they need to make it so we can make our own weapon models and animations

I found out there's a secret sprint attack. You sprint, then attack while sprinting
It’s not a secret tbh if you scroll down on the manager it says “sprint attack damage”
