Probably the best commentary by an American ever. No bullshit. No over the top showmanship. Impeccable English ,
accurate description and honest critical appraisal. I really look forward to more reviews by this gentleman.
Hands down the BEST review of this plane. Thank you!
This guy takes reviews to another level. Detailed, awesome descriptions, and still a decent amount of comedy so it's watchable.
A lot of reviewers purely focus on details and are hard to watch, like sitting in a classroom.
I think I enjoy watching you enjoy the flying as much as I enjoy the flying.
You did a fantastic and thorough job on the turbo timber. “Great Revenue” ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
one of the best no b.s. reviews I've seen on this plane. thanks.
flingerwinger the only one actually
PickzFN yeah for real
This is the most thorough, educational, comical, and everything you would want in a review. Thank you so much for this awesome gem of a review!!
As always...so relaxing to watch and no unnecessary flight footage.
All enjoying en information , thanks.
Greetings from the Netherlands
I totally agree and could not have said it better. Great Subject and Videos Sir.

Beautiful review, your narration was excellent and even entertaining, and you had zero fat in the video, which I really appreciate. Thank you so much!
Excellent review. Very informative. I wish more reviews would be done in this fashion!
I was raised in Alaska around wonderful Bush airplanes . Beautiful representation (those oversized tundra tires!)
Great Job! Love your channel
Your voice is perfect for this kind of thing! This is your calling! you should do how to videos for companies for sure!! I think you could make watching paint dry sound interesting and informant! Good job!!
I’ve had the Turbo for a couple of years. 3 flights on wheels the rest on floats. It’s about as perfect a plane ever made. I put it up there with the Conscendo Evolution as far as stress-free, fun flying.
Usually when I get a plane and like it, I’ll buy a second and keep it in the box. Didn’t do it the Turbo. Other than replacing the leading slats (my fault. Pickup truck bed loading error) and both neoprene screws, (not sure other than constantly removing the wing to store) it still looks brand new.
I’ll have a Turbo Timber as long as I’m in the sport.
I started out 4 years ago with the Apprentice 15s as my first real RC plane. Within a few months I purchased the Timber 1.5 and the Timber UMX. After 3 high wing, taildraggers I thought I was ready to move on and just thank Horizon Hobby and E Flite for getting me started, no bad crashes, and 3 planes that were great for beginners. When the Turbo and X came out, I was thinking, “Been there, done that...” Wasn’t planning on ordering either of the new Timbers. Well... I converted both the Apprentice and the Timber 1.5 to float planes and decided the Turbo could be a great float plane. My Turbo has never had the landing gear installed. Strictly a Float Plane. Just the best! Being able to go from 3s to 4s, easy to fly, easy to land. All 3 of my float planes are fun, but the Turbo is just the best. So well balanced, lots of power with the 4 cell, takes off within 5-10 feet.
Learn to fly with the Apprentice, then purchase the Turbo as you 2nd plane. When you outgrow the Turbo, put the floats on and you’ll have it for years.
I have to say, I've never made a model airplane nor do I have plans to. But I've been watching your videos non-stop. You have such a soothing voice and your enthusiasm for you hobby is a joy to watch. I have to tell you, that your videos have really been giving me a lot of peace during these crazy times.
Thank you for making them, I wish you nothing but the best!
Loved the Star Trek references!
Good no frills relaxing review, you remind of nature documentary commentator...cool, Im going to add this plane to my little fleet now, I already have the umx turbo timber.
Love My Turbo Timber,Its with me every time I go out to the field,Great plane!!
Please create a how-to video on choosing and installing an inflight video camera on fixed wing systems like you used on this model. Thanks for your enthusiasm and instruction…you make this hobby loads of fun
Very nicely done... you just sold me this plane..!
Thanks for posting. On mine I installed a switch and moved the gear forward because after landing on grass I often tipped over. I am very happy with it now.
That is a nailed landing alright.....you even drove in the nail for good measure. :) Nice video.
Your videos are great! I love your happy dry personality.
Late note, only dude I've seen mask the teeth on pliers! As a 32 year A&P I spotted that instantly aweeesome
Good informative VID. And a nice guy who doesn't take it to serious plus a good pilot

Awesome review. Best RC plane review video I've ever seen. Your high-end production value is what makes this stellar! Well done! And your voice is blockbuster worthy! I am considering getting this as my first big plane ... I have the UMX turbo timber now and love it. Question: What battery size and brand are you using in this plane? Thanks again!
I really enjoyed your narration. Great job pilot.
Thanks this was the best review so far and has me sold at this point gotta get a timber turbo like yesterday!
That was a very nice review.. you covered every aspect of the timber in depth. Looks like it would make a great trainer
Nice work- always the best reviews on UA-cam.
Sometimes I forget this is a serious review and just fall into an asmr trance. Rc therapy
Thank You brother Walker, Great review, Great personality!!
love it when a model flies like the prototype; it is a real STOL in every aspect!
Very nice narration. I have one myself, good flying plane. Have not tried the floats yet.
Your reviews are always some of my favorites. Great flying and excellent camera work.
Love your work . From Sydney Australia.
Great video!! Bush planes are my favorite!! I don’t have the the timber, but I do have a Durafly Tundra which is awesome, but not as good as the turbo timber.
Great review. I really like your idea of using hot glue to test out the slats. I also don't want to permanently install them on my turbo timber. I just got my timber flying yesterday and love it!
Just flew mine, I love it! Rock on!
Always enjoy your reviews. Well done!
Great video!! For a really short field takeoff make sure to have the flaps set on the most minimal setting (10° in a Cessna) and then try and takeoff. The flaps will help get it off the ground as quickly as possible.
Awesome review. Horizon owes you a sale as i just bought one thanks to your video! Keep it up, liked and subbed
This is the first video I’ve seen by Fitz, well done!
i have the smaller version of this plane and its the most fun plane i own over all.. it does pretty much everything
Great review! You’re an excellent orator too! 😎
Good review I"ve been looking at the Turbo Timber for a while now and I think I"ll be ordering one in the morning.
Great video. Very well done. Thumbs up!
Really enjoy your videos!!!
12:46 nailed that landing! I see you were going for the weed whacker look and yup you nailed it! :)
My mistake was throttling back up...
EXCELLENT VIDEO. GREAT INFORMATION. I LOVE YOU VOICE AND YOUR FLYING...!!!
Major thumbs up for the Star Trek power up feature music!!! (ST3 the search for Spock)...Wait, my bad it was ST 2 wrath of KHAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just purchased one, great review!!!
Thank you, sir. Interesting, entertaining, and informative. Think I might look into the Timber.
This is awesome !! It's looks like a real airplane
Great Video!!! I just started watching your videos and they are awesome .... You are a natural for this....nice Star Trek music....
Awesome review. Well presented!
Great review!
Great review!!! Very entertaining!!
That looks like Norton AFB.... I used to watch the RC planes there as a kid in the late 70s-early 80s..... I'd love to fly there some time.
For now I'm limited with all this Arizona desert lol....... very nice plane, I think I may order tonight.
Fun and informative. you're a great reviewer.
Nice review! Thanks ! 👍
Love your reviews.
Great video!
great video, such a nice narration!
WOW really nice review good job!!
Another great video. Thank you!
Very nice video, fun to watch
oh man this plane looks fun
Kites really well with those slats on. Nice. This would make a great trainer.
Awesome review
Great review! I like that you showed detailed mounting of the landing gear and floats. I've been thinking about getting one of these and was wondering how much trouble it would be to switch back and forth between landing gear and floats.
Only a dude will make -additional- sound affects for our toys that already have sound affects. Nice flight and a great plane, happy flying.
I'm the dude that's the dude that flies like the dude!
Beat R/C reviews hands down. Happy New Years
Thanks! Tell all your friends!
Nice video great narration .
One of the best reviews I’ve seen on this plane, it’s making me want one , I really love my tundra , and was walking by field I fly in other day a guy came out and gave me is piper cub so don’t need three similar flyers ? but thinking off getting rid of piper and tundra and getting one off these :)) you really have peaked my interest :) brill review 👍👍
I just love these STOL bush planes.
Love it man.
Nice review
Great video
Great video. Stock prop is way to big for stock 10 size motor especially if you want to use 4 cells. Try 9x6 with 4 cells. You will be amazed. 10x6 or 10x7 with 3 cells. Major flaw is that motor mount is fragile and not replaceable. You need a whole new fuselage. If you want try the slats, you can use ca and remove them later with ca debonder. Hot glue can be removed with denatured alcohol from the hardware store.
I love my Turbo Timber!.
great video
Very nice review. Still like the looks of the discontinued original Timber better but warming up to the looks of this improved version. Trying to decide between the Turbo Timber and the Maule M-7 at the moment.
Nice Vid 😎👍🏻. Thank you 🙂
A fun video. Thank you
Lol lil late to the party. But you give a great review 20 out if 10 stars. Great flying too
Nice, might have to pick one of these up!! Subbing.
Still haven’t picked up one of these but am temped. The UMX version is at my LHS rite now, however I have more hobbies than support bucks, LOL!!
aaahhhhh, My friend, "Now we're cooking with Crisco"!!, lolol.
This is a very good video
great video for me, thanks.......:-)
It does look a lot cooler with the slats.
Helpful Thank You
I never even considered the turbo timber until this video. Even got a few chuckles out of me. I've not flown a plane yet and am looking for a beginner plane. I bought another plane, but that was because I had to have it because of the sound and scale appearance. I have a ways to go before I can fly my other plane, F-18 hornet 80 mm EDF, but ultimately want to be able to. I bought it knowing that it may be 2 or 3 years before I can maiden it, but I don't want it to be discontinued before I'm able to. 2 of the last 4 RCs I've bought have been discontinued and I'm not taking any chances with the F-18. The Losi LST 3XLE and the ProBoat Zelos 36" (not the Miss Geico version) are two that were discontinued. I currently have 10 RCs and the Eflite F-18 is one of the them, a boat is also one of them. I've got another boat I want to purchase in mind and there is two other planes, one is definite and the other (trainer) is up for debate. I also want to get a road going RC and a couple monster trucks to boot. Hopefully my RC collection stops at 15 as I am running out of space. Lol. Any hobbiest knows that more than likely won't happen. I've spent more on RCs than my full size vehicle cost me. Lmao. Expensive hobby but soooo worth it.
It would make a fine beginner plane. Also consider the Apprentice. I would look into a simulator as well.
@@HobbyView I would be interested in a simulator, but the closest thing I've got to a computer is this cell phone I'm texting this paragraph with. Lol.
Great video as usual. Thank you for making these as they really help with purchase decisions. Could you expand on the differences between the timber turbo and timber X? (Hopefully before the HH sale on timber is over). I’m really not sure what you mean when you say the timber turbo "excels in it's utility". That kind of sounds like "salesman's speak". I really would like to hear your thoughts on how they differ, which one flies better for slow speed, shorter takeoff and landings, more durable/more crashworthy Etc. etc.
Takaka Zushi -The Timber X is more for aerobatics. It has shorter wings with larger flaps and larger ailerons and rudder. They both come with the optional leading edge slats and are both stol capable. The X is just more aerobatic.
Great video. I just picked one up and will be flying it soon. Curious now that you’ve have some time with the plane. Have you kept the slats on it? And if you took them off how “easy” was it with your hot glue method?
Hold a little bit of power and those tall grass landings and it will work better for you. Even on floats.... nice video.....
Was that the wrath of Kahn music I heard with the lights?!
"BAD Idea, Take One"... LOL!!!
Love your review/reviews your a great commentator!! Would you recommend this as a first Rc airplane? I live on the water and would be flying on and off water. It looks like its larger size might help out learning the flying skills with its slow flight capabilities??
Thanks! Yes, I'd say it would make a pretty good first RC plane. However, I would recommend finding an experience RC pilot to help you with setup and initial flight training. A simulator would also be a good idea.
@@HobbyView thanks much as I will try to seek out someone that has some experience under there belt. Look forward to my first flight,
