Is this record rare as I recently missed out on one, the 8" threw me thinking of vinyl not aware that these early Edison records were 8" and before I could check it out, it was sold so will have to keep searching, these 1920/30's records sound really authentic when played on the same period gramophone
Sounds good do you use soft tone needles,, I have a HMV 5b sound box on my 102 gramophone but sometimes the early records sound better on my Decca trench type gramophone nice to hear differences
Now that is a record with no B-side! (Don't half wish it were mine!) Cheers for sharing… and both sides! BTW: Is that an HMV 101 or 102 portable? Regardless, it's in great nick… and sounds it an all! Ta again!

@@johnwood6345 it’s taken me 3 years to find a copy as I broke my last copy . Just need patience

@@johnwood6345 I use medium or loud needles .songster do a collar needle which sound great and are loud, but cant get hold of anymore
