Garth: "SPHINCTER" [video suddenly cuts to Wayne's World logo] I lost it there. This video is strangely amusing. I've had a hard time looking for clips from this thing; thanks for the upload!
I imagine this being super clunky when you actually tried playing it, but this doesn't seem so bad. It feels like something Wayne and Garth would have made
I know we played it at the time, the movie was huge and any tie in got our attention. Clunky is the word for VCR games in general, but with most board games and just kids playing, making up or changing rules on the spot to maximize fun was a common thing. So I do know we had fun with it, but I can't say how closely we stuck to the official method.
When I was 3-4 years old, I was at the neighbors watching them play this. One guys name was Billy. So it blew my mind when Garth said, "Really!?" That's a good name." Because I thought he said Billy, lol
You really have to imagine the rest of the room to get the true experience. You and your idiot friends are sitting together and playing the game, you're doing all the movie lines and bits when the guys on screen bait you to and telling your own jokes in the meantime. And the guys are actually taunting you as you play. It was surreal, it was as close to getting inside the movie world as one could get at the time, and may even be the best game form of the movie, period. It's not about the simple mechanics of game play, it's everything else around it, and even with a set tape, every game would be different because you all do and say different things, and even develop running gags over time. If you're just watching this tape in the modern day, you're only getting maybe 1/4 of the real experience.
This game brought to you by Grey Poupon. "I could be out playing street hockey. Not! This is great!" Think you used that 'not' a bit early, there, Garth. "All the players who haven't picked up a babe, or hunk..." Wayne's World, a progressive, all-inclusive game. Huh. I had no idea that word had an H and some K's in it. I've been spelling it 'way' all this time. "There are times when it's appropriate not to mince words." Agreed. This is awful. "The only way for someone other than Garth to win now..." Is to kill Garth! "...is to rewind and play all over again." oh. Ha ha, oh, Wayne's World game, you're such an asshole.
Is this the complete video? I have the game but it didnt have the VHS video with it and, call me crazy, but I would like to actually play it... wait. The box says it is 45 minutes long and this video is only 26 minutes long :(
The AVGN or Board James should review this and other VCR games. Edit: Also, I'm 10 minutes into this nonsense and I *still* haven't heard my special sound.
Its like people only do things because they get paid. And that's just really sad
I can't talk about it anymore. It's giving me a headache
@thesentrygamer Ah Nuprin. Little. Yellow. different.
My brain threatened to leave me for watching this.
It's still a better Mike Myers career move than The Love Guru.
I don't think so.

you're all talking about they sold out blah blah blah but this is exactly what the real Wayne and Garth would get sucked into by Benjamin Kane hahhaha
Its amazing they couldn't even find an afternoon where they could both film together in the same place at the same time......
Screw that last comment I made, let's talk about Dana Carvey's police car impression at 16:49. I mean, holy shit, dude.
Best emergency siren ever!
lol i like how they didnt even make the effort to be filmed together
Any excuse to see more Wayne's world is worthy so I definitely love this boardgame, the best of 1992 and one of my favorite!
Truly Dana Carvey's greatest time to shine.

"Now tell me your first name."
...
"Really? That's a good name! Oh, well!"
I fucking lost it.

Man, VHS Board Games, the memories!
I didn't know that this existed until now. Thank God for TV Tropes!
4:05 When you have nothing to add to the conversation but want to be included anyway.
The fact that Wayne and Garth are in their own houses makes this feel like it was recorded during the pandemic🤔
yeah it's rather weirdly prophetic
I was thinking the exact same thing 😭 this is like being in a zoom call with them
Oh god... when Garth just says sphincter and it cuts to the logo I died. It's just so random.
I thought that The Cat in the Hat marked the point when Myers sold out...
I was wrong.
I love when Wayne smiles and sticks his tongue out, so freaking cute.
ew
If the uploader what a title dip Wayne's world deleted scenes I would have believed them. Crazy they would have a VCR game about the movie.
Still a better love story than Twilight.
LMAO!!!!!... ;)
Oh, I don't know about that.
not
What isn’t
HE SHOOTS! HE SCORES!

Jess Harnell and Rob Paulsen might have done the voices.
Pile of Bullets for real.
i don't think Garth and Wayne were in the same room..lol

i'm just a sucker for wayne's world no matter what xd
They just cut out the 'dead spots' which is good for watching but no good if you actually wanted to use it to play the game.
Does anyone want to actually play the game?
I'm sure there are plenty of people who still want to play a Wayne's World based VCR game....NOT!
ME !
@@guapounggoy Does the Wayne's World VCR game come after the Wayne's World movie? If not, where did it come from?

Ambrosia Brown I think the Game-playing time is meant to last up to 45 minutes but the length of the Video is 26 Minutes
Great video 👍

Are you the lips from "Rocky Horror Show"?

If you don't make it to party central, Garth wins. Yeah what a stupid idea.
