By request! I was asked to teach a lesson on the great tune "Five Miles From Town", so here it is, based on the playing of Clyde Davenport. This is a bit more of a tricky tune and a hard one to describe at times, but I hope this helps break down this great tune for you. Let me know how you go with it, or if you'd like me to follow up and clarify anything! I also touch on some more advanced shuffle bow ideas with the "three beat shuffle", which brings more syncopation and polyrhythms to your playing.

I just got through with this one, I definitely agree with the it being "tricky," but once it comes together it a well worth it for this great tune, I know you referenced Cumberland Gap in there with the three beat shuffle I would love to see that lesson if you felt up to it, because I its a great tune and the three beat shuffle is something else. thanks for this lesson and the tune I really appreciate it and enjoyed your teaching.

in new england we call it high bass standard tuning....
