I personally still prefer "leather seats", but your choice of the lyric "legacy" does add an intriguing twist that got me thinking more about the meaning of the song. no its not, its out of context! To have an impact on someones legacy is to have major influence on their life. The reason its out of context is because the song is about a girl that isn't ready to move on when the guy she loves has all but moved on and all but forgotten about her! The whole song is about vengeance for being cheated on, Shes damaging his car not his life and the reason her NAME IS IN THE LEATHER SEATS is so the "next girl" knows what hes like
This is the first time I've ever heard anyone sing it as legacy. How is that more powerful? It doesn't even accidentally make any kind of sense! She's obviously talking about destroying his car, which has leather seats!

I love your interpretation using legacy honestly I like leather seats she’s using all these descriptive words building that image and a story we can play out in our heads like a movie and leather seats adds to that but again that’s my interpretation legacy is a much more powerful word thank you for singing it like that so we see both ways:))

I should be a baritone and I used to practice but I really hope I can hit at least a C
you know, knowing that someone succeeded into extend his range gives me the strenght to practice everyday ahahah
@@RiccardoCipolletta It took me a little while to extend my range, but it was mostly about developing my head voice and learning how to use it properly. To do that, I practiced a lot and sang Judas Priest all the time, haha. And CCR. You should keep putting time into it! I’m sure you can get there. Look into developing your head voice and it will open up a lot of possibilities 😃

You do realize that this song is part of a trilogy, right? First one is 'Last Name' in which she meets and marries this guy and wins him a truck. Second one is Before He Cheats ... don't you think that she'd have known or suspected it before this song? Third one is Two Black Cadillacs where she talks with the side-chick and they plan his death with the possessed car that was used in the Stephen King movie Christine, where the car self-repairs itself. Yes, they did ask Stephen for permission to use the car.
