Man am I glad this song is so long! I didn’t want it to stop at all, haha. Great one!! And I love the singing ending part, haha. Somehow this song and you singing it reminds me of the movie nightmare before Christmas! I don’t know why. 🎃
Thank you for saying all that! And for sticking around until the end 😁 It’s definitely a very similar sound and chord progression to “Sally’s Song”. Speaking of... keep an eye out 😏
Hahaha oh I can play some Boston for ya! Thanks dude. Scorpions are definitely a step up from a one hit wonder, which is weird because they’re so good.
Just some suggestions in the future. Instead of doing a direct cover you can always experiment with ways to make it your own. You could play the piano and make it sound a little more unsettling and make a singing version of your own to go along with it(its Halloween month so that's why I said that).Listen to Sonata Arcticas version of it for some future ideas. Again just some ideas. Its good to see covers but I feel like audience always demand to hear something equal or better or different. Great start though.
Thanks dude! You’ve probably heard “Rock You Like a Hurricane” or “No One Like You”. If not, I’d be shocked! Definitely some GnR happening at some point 🤘
Oh and another thing. Just listening to your range. You could experiment with newer music. This way you can connect with new and older audiences. Listen to Greta Van Fleet "highway tune" or the new upcoming rising rock band Nothing But Thieves. That song "if I get high" that vocal ending sounds like I never have enough breath in my diaphragm to finish it maybe you can. It may be out of your comfort zone but I think it will open up your vocal range. As a occasional former musician the industry is very psychology based. People want fresh tunes in order to stand out. Unfortunately a lot of todays music is saturated with the same chord progression. I could go on forever.
Why are you gritting your teeth when you sing "I" in the line "I will be there"? Vowel modification is important, especially if you want to sing well in your 50s. It should be sung "Ah will be theyah" with a semi closed pharynx on high note vowels.
Thanks for the 200 subscribers! 😊
that was immensely difficult and you passed through, well done.

Nice cover Alec! I would love to hear you covering some song by British band Threshold with Damien Wilson on vocals
Thanks Max! I’ve never heard of them but I’ll definitely check them out 😃 Thanks for the request 🤘
Nice!! Great under-listened band outside of their big hits. As for requests... Maybe play a little boston for ya?

Thanks man! I like to try to mix it up and sometimes make it my own, but other times just stick to the original sound. I’ll keep this in mind though!
Dang! This is a cool song. I've never even heard of this band. Piling on the suggestions: Guns N' Roses.
Thanks dude! You’ve probably heard “Rock You Like a Hurricane” or “No One Like You”. If not, I’d be shocked! Definitely some GnR happening at some point 🤘
@@AlecSullivan Rock You Like a Hurricane is sounding familiar! Cool cool, man! If you need someone to play guitar on "Patience", I gotchu.
Mike Donahue That would be fun dude! Chris Cornell’s version of “Patience” was just released. I might do a cover of that!
@@AlecSullivan Oh wow! I'd love to hear him sing that. I'll have to look it up.
@@MiKeDoNaDiZZle ua-cam.com/video/myZ32Pf-5PE/v-deo.html It's so good!

I appreciate all the suggestions and input! Thanks for putting all the thought into this 🤘 I’ll definitely take it into consideration!
Don't make your voice thin when singing it. You are sounding like Getty trying to sing Scorpions. You are a bit too much in your throat.

Can’t please everyone! Thanks for the comments 🤙🤙
