[EDIT] 👏DAY 6!!! 👏 *SEE MODIFICATIONS BELOW* ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️ *Please yoga blocks (books, furniture to hold onto) for this routine!!* 1) 2:55, 6:20, 6:50 All Deep Lunges or Hamstring Stretch - You may want to hold onto yoga blocks on either side as support if you feel like the "the ground is too far away". Having something to hold on to will help you keep your back FLAT! 2) TIP - Stretching next to a mirror will help you check if your back is flat (think good posture, chest is lifted, back engaged) This routine should really help you find the tights spots in your hamstrings - Let me know if the comments how you felt after this one! 🤗 Honestly though, you're doing so well! One day at a time 😍💛
Great timing! I was in the shower this morning and as I was bending down, I really realized how TIGHT my hamstrings were. My legs are grateful for this perfectly timed video, hehe. Thank you!
I'd love to see some videos on splits training. I was a ballet dancer 40+ years ago, but lost most of my flexibility (well, probably still more flexible than most people). I was following an app I really liked called Splits in 30 Days which has 30 days beginning, then 30 intermediate, then 30 advanced. I was half way through advanced when I pulled a muscle trying too hard. Now, hopefully, I'm at least somewhat healed and ready to start again. (At least at the time I downloaded, that app on Android gave you all 90 days free, but on ioS only the first 30 days were free, with some small payment for the others, but nicer with music in the background.) By the way, Elaine, I like your videos -- not too stressful or extreme, very relaxed atmosphere. Keep posting.
Yes, a splits routine is on my radar!! 😍Oh that's wonderful Larry! I'm so happy to hear that you are putting time into flexibility training even 40+ years later (I want to be like you!!). I haven't heard of Splits in 30 Days but the way it's broken down into 30 days beginner, intermediate and advance sounds pretty good. No worries, I pulled my hamstrings twice actually when it fully healed that's when I put 100% dedication into learning how to better listen to my body and only increased intensity for splits when I felt ready. Thanks so much for your kind words.. I will keep posting! 😊Hopefully, have more useful videos over time!
There are so many ab exercises where you have to straighten out your legs while lying on your back, but I always struggle to do so. I’m planning on using this video to improve flexibility in my hamstrings so I can finally be able to do these workouts properly haha. Thanks for another great video 💗💗
Omg I totally feel this struggle too!!! Kept wondering for years why my legs couldn’t straighten for ab workouts 😅 #inflexible and like you said, the answer is just having really tight hamstrings 🙌🙌 Awesome!!! Keeeep working on it 💗
Thanks for posting another relaxing video! ❤️ I can't wait to follow along! Despite stretching regularly, my hamstrings and hip flexors are always tight, which is probably why I have such a difficult time with splits 😂
Aww Thank yooou Jordyn for leaving a kind comment! ❤️❤️I know what you mean! It honestly just takes a long time to get results for flexibility. Every time you stretch it counts towards your future flexibility :). I literally wrote a quote and stuck it to my wall which said "Trust the Process" 😂
Ahhhh!!! Exciting ❤️❤️🤩🤩🤩 I’m just finishing up tomorrow’s video - there’s a little message at the end that I’m working on :p.. That’s a great idea!! Definitely give the beginner flexibility series a try for now, if you feel like you’re ready! I will look into doing a 30 day split challenge one day 💓
Thank you so much for this routine!! This was the first stretch video I had to pause halfway through because my legs were shaking so bad. 😅 Boy, are my hamstrings tight! Mastering these stretches is my new goal.
Ahhh you're welcome!!! 😂I love that you're listening to your body, definitely take breaks when needed! 💕My hamstrings were no where near 90 degrees when I started, practice will get you there! Keeep it up!!!
Thank you so much! I found out that I cannot really bend my knees to the mat while trying some yoga. My knees were not straight and my leg was never parallel but forming a triangle on the mat. Hopefully these will help me get better! Open to suggestions if there is any other exercise that would benefit me to stick my legs fully on the mat❤
In terms of hand positions for a stretch like that shown at 10:45, should you be supporting/balancing yourself more with your fingertips (as you're doing) or is it ok to put your palms flat down on the ground (so your body would be slightly lower)? thank u
Necks often hold a lotttt of tension for many people! I dedicated 3 weeks recently to stretch neck everyday and roll it out, I’m only seeing improvements now ☺️. It will take time, but it’s possible!! 🙏
LOL hamrods 😂😂 haven’t heard of that one! Most people have superrr stiff hamstrings and we don’t realize until we try these kinds of stretches. AWW yesss love that you’re stretching with gf 💗💗 Keep stretching! All about consistency

Yeaaah nice! Stretching out the hammies are soo important for ball!! Aw you'll be back there one day and killin' it! 🏀💪💪

Hands flat on the ground is good too, will help provide more support! are you able to keep square hips and a flat back?
@@JourneytoMobility yes :)
@@Anna-zw1of Yayy Wonderful! You can add pnf if you're familiar with this technique to make these stretches more effective :) keep it up!
