Took WAY TOO LONG for them to make this morpher, but I'm glad that they did! RIP JDF this is certainly a must have for Ranger fans!
When was it released? I've checked Amazon and the like and all I can find are price scalpers on Ebay.
I know the Hasbro Pulse site had preorders not long ago but they sold out VERY quickly with a limit of 2 per customer for $64 each. Yeah, if you didn't get them there then you're up the creek because everywhere else has INSANE prices from scalpers! @@ChrisTian-ed8ol
I'm still heart broken over the loss of JDF. My fiance got into power rangers seeing all the outpouring of love from the fans and joined me in revisiting the franchise. Thank you to this channel and all the fans sharing in their positivity and love for this franchise that was such a big part of many of our childhoods.
I met JDF at Denver comic con in 2015 and he signed a white ranger pic for my autistic brother saying "c'mon Jake! Zordon and I need you!" as a personal message. Rather than just give a generic comment I figured I'd tell a story about JDF from my life. Words cannot describe how much the man is missed.
I love this channel! No clickbait, no fake news, no hate towards any part of the franchise.....just pure passion and love for it all and your passion definitely comes through in every video

I love how you break down all the lore of the power rangers and give your own spin on it in certain cases
JDF was a massive icon in my childhood and his passing devastated many. This is a beautiful way of sealing his legacy.
The Master Morpher is a great concept and I hope it is expanded for other Rangers with multiple forms to have. Obviously no one has nearly as many forms as Tommy but definitely characters like Adam,, Kat, Rocky, Jason and such deserve it, especially if they were to include coins representing forms unique to the comics. I like to think that the process of gaining a master morpher is more complicated, perhaps you have to go on some sort of quest in the Morphin grid or learn how to connect with it in a deeper way than the typical Ranger. You can really see the Master Morpher concept as being a contrast/response to Drakkon, he stole powers from various Rangers and forced it into one form which nearly killed him, while the Master form allows you to call upon the abilities of powers that you've earned one at a time. I know it was likely made for the potential merchandise but it is such a cool concept and having add to the lore of Rangers is great. Especially with the Morphin Grid becoming portrayed as something more akin to the force as more time goes on!
Going through a two year custody battle; your channel has given me nothing but pure nostalgia and vibes 🎉 love to see it! Keep it going!
I still can’t believe JDF is gone. He was my hero growing up. It’s because of him that I got into martial arts and superheroes.

I would say that this is the best way to honor Jason David Frank by creating the Master Morpher in his honor and also representing the ranger powers that he had used during the Power Ranger Legacy that he had left behind.
My only little complain about the coins is that we didn't get the drakkon power coin, which I guess is a little bit of a nitpick, considering you could just flip the white tiger power coin upside down to kind of resemble it. But I also find fascinating is that not once in the live-action TV show he ever changed into the Red Turbo Ranger even though he was the original before TJ took over. Still that being said I do enjoy your content on both the 6th Ranger Channel and the Batcave which I still watch from time to time.
Yeah, 8/10 Is a fair rating I'd say. They get tons of credit for programming new sounds for each morpher, but Bandia proved that dye cast is the way to go.

Glad you were able to get back to making content. JDF was always my favorite ranger, I grew up in the 90’s with Power Rangers and now share that with my kids.
I remember when I met JDF at my local comic shop in 2020 he was on some sort of tour and signed my Lord Drakkon figure, and to this day is one of my most cherished parts of my collection. May the power protect us all and good luck to whoever wins!
I got both the standard and Green Ranger morphers from Bandai, the latter being my favorite. But while the Green Ranger is the best, the Master Morpher is a great tribute to Tommy's entire legacy. He is single-handedly an entire team of Rangers.
RIP, JDF. I met him only one time at NYCC, and he is still dearly missed. The man embodied positive energy and what ultimately happened was a total shock. We truly never know what struggles someone else is dealing with inside.
The loss of JDF is very sad. he was one of my favorite actor, still is and He was the childhood idol of most of us. It's a shame we won't see him again on stage or on television ( hope that Legend of the White Dragon will be released in theaters) It was great that they created such a beautiful thing in his memory. As a power rangers fan, I wish I could order this product in Turkey, but this is not possible since Hasbro only sends mass production products to my country through distributors. jake you are truly perfect. You are doing very good things.

I've been wanting a new Morpher ever since I had to sell mine to avoid eviction. And even more, since JDF passed. He meant a lot to me and a lot of people. And personally, his Dino Thunder appearance is my favorite as it felt like a full journey for him. From new guy to leader, to mentor. I would love to win and be lucky in the drawing, and if I'm not. That's fine. As long as I can put out into the ether how much JDF meant, then I am happy. May the power protect you, Ranger fam.

Love your content mate, keep up the good work! 💚 I think I still have my original toy morpher from the 90s in my parents loft. Not sure if memory is giving me rose tinted glasses but the quality was very similar to this which goes to show how cool those old toys were. I spent all my pocket money on the zords too - good times!

I love the design of the Master Morpher! Personally, I loved the Gokaiger morphers with the Ranger Keys a bit more (I'm a sucker for those Ranger Keys) even tho I was NOT a fan of Super Mega Force. Speaking of those morphers, I always wondered why they never did anything with Basco's Mobirates? It was almost set up for him to be an evil ranger, but the key slot was covered and he only ever used it as a cell phone. Anyways, excellent video and keep up the awesome work!

I was honestly considering this for a long time until I realized it wouldn’t really have Lord Drakkon’s Power Coin. In a way, still kind of wish I had the Green communicator, or even DragonZord, which I could’ve had either a long time ago before anyone knew the franchise would become this profitable.
It was fortunate JDF told Hasbro about the Master Morpher. Imagine if he just agreed to do a simple Green/White Morpher 😢
I will say your new office is really good. It also seems more "comfy" (I know that's an odd thing to say). Seems like it has way more utility for you.

I really enjoy your videos and have somewhat used it as a way to help reconcile coming back to liking Power Rangers after so long. For so long, where I live, it had been "beat" into you that it was a baby show, if you liked it you were a baby et cetera. After JDF's passing I came back to liking it a bit, rather admitting that I _still_ liked it. Through your videos I found a renewed, I don't know if "love" is quite the right word but I don't know what other word to use, for the franchise and accepted that being an adult and liking it is not only fine, but it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks about it.. As a matter of fact I now have a digital copy of all 30 seasons plus the movies, and while this collection initially started with the intent and means to get the stuff I watched as a kid... I eventually extended it to the full franchise because, well, it's done now and it was such a phenomenon and moment in time, so to speak, that I felt it was worth preserving.
While my favorite season is still Zeo (and were I to win the morpher it would be the coin displayed) I think a close second would be In Space. I am somewhat... nervous to watch later seasons (16-30) as I am not sure if I'll enjoy them but I'm going to give them a shot for sure!
P.S. Also, just putting this out there, if you wanted a copy of this digital collection that can be arranged.
P.P.S. This is a sort of blending of fandoms, but I play Star Wars The Old Republic (SWTOR) and in that game I have aseembled the right armor pieces and dyes that I actually have the ability to put characters in a very close approximation of the Zeo suit. Due to the pieces, Zeo 3 Blue works the best but every color still looks good. I _also_ can do something _approximating_ MMPR Green / by extension Drakkon and sortof Zeo 6 Gold (but that one's a bit of a stretch). Obviously it's not perfect, it wasn't designed to look like PR suits but I have pulled it off. I have a character named T'ommy Oliv'ur who rocks these as his main set as well as variant outfits. Just a fun tidbit.

I have loved power rangers all my life, ever since I saw JDF as the Black Dino Thunder ranger. Tommy as a mentor is totally underrated. I was three when the show came out and didn’t really know that it already had 10+ years of history at that point. When I first saw the Master Morpher in action I really hoped it would get released. I just didn’t think it would be so hard to get 🤣 also this is my first comment on UA-cam.
Having only really followed Tommy's story after mmpr, I always find your videos interesting even if the series or character you are talking about aren't the same as the original series. The master morpher looks cool! Keep up the great content. Subscribed to the bat cave recently too 😉

I really hope some third parties could make custom shiny coins. Seeing many cases on reddit of scratches and paint chippings on the zeo coin feels so depressing. The one from Starlight studios, on the other hand, was exceptional.

Great review of the "Master Morpher" Shame that Hasbro didn't put much effort into the quality compared to the Bandai Legacy Morphers....having owned the Tommy Oliver Green/White Ranger Morpher from Bandai myself the quality is so much better! But still the Hasbro Master Morpher is still a great looking collectable for anyones PR collection/displays. 😎👍🏻💜

My only issue with the morpher isn't the morpher itself, it's the fact we didn't get a drakkon coin. Yes I did get one from starlight studios. But I'd rather have had a drakkon coin over a turbo coin.

The Master Morpher would definitely make a great display piece to honor JDF, but the 8/10 rating is certainly fair. diecast is the way to go for most things as far as quality.
