You have become my favorite gun reviewer. It's just no fluff, no stupid crap, and I appreciate that, excellent work.
I can't wait until you get your hands on the new Springfield high power.

Nice review: all the good, and the bad. I like the looks of the piece, but not crazy about the hot gas and flying debris issue. Thanks for the video. It's always a pleasure.

My son and I use it to train my grandchildren with. I like the 22mag for varmint hunting and on those wascally wabbits. ( Jack rabbit's ). I also like the Circuit Judge which comes in 45/410 and 357 and 44 mag, which are very popular in Australia. The 357 and 44 mag are very hard to come by. But my Henry's keep me going. Have a great day my 2A friend's! Sincerely Ruger Rich

My name is Guy Hall. I ordered one of your rancher carbines around a month ago to go with my roughrider revolver combo, and I love this carbine!!!!it shoots very tru,and very accurate so for with lr and magnum rnds.of all kinds I've tested so far. It also didn't take long at all to recieve it at my ffl. Thank you for your great video and the great carbine.

2:34 So it doesnt have either, a transfer bar OR a hammer block, as most modern revolvers do??? Im surprised.

The problem with running .22 WMR out of the Heritage is that you get VERY little increase in performance. The gap between the cylinder and the barrel is a bit on the generously large side, and when shooting a 16" barrel Heritage in .22 lr & .22 WMR through a chronograph the .22 WMR has only a very minor increase in muzzle velocity over the .22 lr...which shoot quite a bit slower than the muzzle velocity listed on the side of the box.

I like mine. The only complaint is the way the stock transitions to the frame. It's a straight bar like old west lever actions, so if you carry it unshouldered with your index finger, extended at the ready, you will get a painful wrist cramp after about 20 minutes. Instead, you have to hold it like a stick when carrying it. Since it's a revolver, you can't get into the habit of supporting the barrel weight with your support hand like a regular carbine, so your trigger hand wrist has to bear that weight. A curved grip stock would have been ideal so your fingers could pull against gravity rather than torqueing that stress to the nearest joint.

Love mine, did a couple of up grades, like an all metal ejector rod. Just a unique fun little gun and I mainly shoot CCI "Quiet" out of it. No side blast, low noise and will take down a tin can (With proper shot placement...lol). It's also very accurate. Did have to replace the hammer spring due to light strikes (btw: It's not the same as in their revolvers, its a cut down version). It's a keeper.

I own one now after this review ..the splashback from the gas/debris is obscene when using the 22 magnum cylinder. Cut me open. There was blood. Enough it stung for a day. No lasting marks obviously ..but would of SUCKED if it got in the eye with that much force. Likely ER trip. I like it for the novelty ...but I will not lie. I hesitate/jump somewhat when I shoot it. Never jump with any other gun I own big or small... I dont want to sell it..but I hesitate to shoot it just the same

Good and serious review on an interesting gun, everything looks good and is definitely old west cool. I just don't like the shooters face being so close to feel the effect of firing. Any .22 rifle would be more practical. But sometimes we like a gun for some other reasons that do not include the practical uses. I like it because Lee Van Cleef used a similar gun in an old west movie. I think it was "For a few Dollars More."

@@6Sally5 this could have a shielded cylinder and a forearm and still be a unique little carbine.

I have 2 RR’s, but I really can’t believe this gun is legal. You’re better off getting their 16” revolver, which is available with adjustable rear AND front sites.
At 22, the barrel is remarkably light and easy to hold steady, even with just one hand.
This design? Just asking for trouble.
