Yes I'm listening! I'm a 73 year old grandmother who grew up in the 70's. I always loved James Taylor! Now more than ever. I have leukemia and his voice comforts me daily. Thank you James!
This song is such a treasure. First, by Buddy Holly, and then JT added so much depth and soul to his version. I love both versions and that is so rare to like the remake as much as the original.
Went to see him in Boston last week. Outstanding band and of course James is so talented. He played 24 songs and during intermission he signed autographs for at least 40 minutes. Just a great musician and a better person.
As always, when I hear James Taylor, I'm in awe of him. Since the old stereo systems are gone, I bought a different kind off the stereo system. Great sound! Just to play James Taylor! The store asked me what music I liked t listen to. I said, well, James Taylor! Al of the store clerks and customers said "YEAH" and they turned the music in the store to James Taylor! LOL 😊🤗❤ Thank You James Taylor!
JAMES Taylor transcends time and the hardest of hearts. He makes me look forward to another 62 years of. James epitomizes that the best of life is in your mind. In good times and hard times. God has blessed your with the gift of the universal language.
Me too, Susan! He actually makes me cry tears of joy. Such an integral part of my life. So many cherished summer concerts going to see him -- always a gift. My mom and I used to sing to his songs together in the car. Many smiles, so many moments his music whisked us away from our daily troubles.
Music that lifts up the heart , gives one the strength to smile and love again . One who helps the sun shine again after a passing storm deserves a special place in Heaven
Oh man...he's excellent artist that's timeless...hard to believe he suffers from mental health and as most like myself have had my days...I hope he feels good all the time...sooo talented. Love him still after 50yrs.❤
Bedside vigil in a Spanish hospital, need the all embracing music, lyrics and joy of James Taylor, one of many special talents that have soothed me, moved me, held me when I'm slipping like he has and continues to do so over the decades, need you more than ever now James and know you won't let me down. James I really enjoy your music....im 63...and have been playing guitar since i was 10. Your sound was a huge inspiration for me. thank you for all your hard work and dedication to your field. God bless you jim.
This is a great concert. Stellar performances from JT, the band, and his backup singers. I bought the "Pull Over" DVD because I loved it so much, but JT has given us a real treat by putting most of the songs from the concert here on UA-cam for free. I've always said, if you're a fan you really need to see him in concert. He never disappoints.
@Helen Fontsere' Yes, it's a shame that his 2020 concert tours had to be canceled. Let's hope everything is normal enough by next year this time for us to start enjoying events like concerts again. :)
I went to see James & Bonnie Raitt last year for the very first time and was originally supposed to be in the nosebleed section. I'm not sure what happened but they upgraded my seat (BIG time) to the very front row & I was directly in front of Arnold & the other singers. What a thrill to be that close to James & all these tremendous singers that I've been watching on video for the last 30 yrs.
Fire & rain..."Sweet dreams and flying machines in pieces on the ground. I always thought that I'd see you again." The only girl that I ever loved and didn't marry. Unconditional love. For me - this was my all time favorite number I had ever heard James do......It was some 50 years ago at the Mount Hermon School in MA - that I felt very honored and lucky to have ANY seat at this fabulous concert. But as the concert wore on, as good as everything was - something very marvelous happened to me when I heard him introduce this great "oldie" - later to become such a coveted hit for himself. Chills went up and down my spine, so to speak, as if some mysterious charge of electricity had just awakened me - musically!! I never forgot that song nor his performance of it - with the great band and background singers behind him - many of whom he still performs with today. I can certainly see - from the audience reaction to this very special number for James in this most memorable video clip - that I wasn't the only one who was very taken with his performance of this noteworthy hit. And you can certainly see "why" the song was "saved" for THIS very special moment in the concert....... Also - as an aside - Every time I see James do the number on video, no matter what the time in history - one can easily see just how much HE loves doing the song for a very eager audience!! MANY THANKS, James, for all the wonderful music and times you've given to countless fans and admirers all over the world. And......Many Thanks to all the kind viewers who took a few moments to read my comments......
Love your music sir James T., I grew up listening to these soothing songs. I always play them on my guitar. I hope we can duet and play together. More power!!!

That's true, I can only count them on one hand
Just a mention for those incredible musicians and backing singers who all bring their A game to respect James Taylor and his music. 💕
So sad today to hear of the passing of David Lasley, RIP and thanks for the memories.
That intro alone, every person heard on that stage, so beautiful and peaceful, like a glorious new day is breaking.
When he starts singing, it's
Like a refreshing stream of spring water falling on your head.

this bass player is absolutely fantastic. He is quite literally carrying the melody
Tony Levin and Leland Sklar are great bass players. Prolific session musicians as well as touring musicians, they contributed so much in JT's songs
You can really tell how much James Taylor just really loves singing, even after all these years and all he's been through.
Indeed!!

Never another like JT. The most calming, soothing voice in music. Man, can we use JT's music today.
Buddy Holly’s song captured the feel and innocence of his era. James Taylor did a beautiful job of adding his flavor to this classic
