I love these live shows, I don't always have the chance to see them in real life but it gives me life to see them in their entirety later especially because of the amount of details that are told about the laptops and the good atmosphere there is, of course it's Andrew and he always does the difference, greetings from Spain.
I have seen some real life battery test of MacBook Air m2 on UA-cam and it drops 26% BATTERY in MacBook Air 15" and 29% BATTERY in MacBook Air 13" after 3 hours of online video streaming. I also did same test in my GalaxyBook4 Pro and i got 11 hours of BATTERY LIFE in balanced Mode and Optimised mode from Samsung setting. 27% drop after every three hours which is exactly same as MacBook Air. OLED displays consume more battery than ips Icd. My brightness was 55% and volume at 35% which is enough for quiet room and indoor use and in indoor lighting.
Watched the complete livestream of this Dell Laptop this morning. Looks like a good pc overall. Personally I do not care for the capacitive row on top. Heard your rant about the MacBook Air. One positive thing you did not mention about it is if nothing else it makes a great way overpriced paper weight. Just Kidding. Great livestream. Looking forward to the full review of this XPS laptop.
I love your unbiased reviews! I'm really looking forward for the Lenovo Yoga 7i Gen 9. I'm adamant on getting a customized one as soon as possible but I'm waiting for your honest review before getting it.
In the manual it says the OLED uses 3x wattage than LED LCD. When you scroll down the UK dell website (which l didn't do) it mention decent battery life if you don't opt for OLED. I got the OLED model but if you want better battery maybe check the LCD screen.
There is a lot of talk about Oled and touch digitizer problems... The famous screen door effect witch seems to be the topic of the year. How bad was it? As some others say?
Did Dell start to offer a different color? The black version makes the color contrast with the electronic F keys more tolerable. Black laptops can get hotter when out in the sun. Not an issue for C# programmers (.NET) who work from home or in an office.
Please suggest a window laptop for product designing...My selection was book4pro ultra7 to buy. Now it seems it is not a right purchase after watching your review.
the dimensions confuse me a little bit, it has the narrow bezels and same screen size as the 9440 and the Thinkpad X1 but yet appears to be just under 10mm wider? I just don't understand where the extra space is?
As always, love your reviews and for speaking what's on your mind! Every model/brand has his or her own flaws... Finding a perfect system isn't easy nowerdays... Apple got nice machines but like you said has their negative points... The Samsung amoled displays are really great but got other issues on their book pro lines... How bad is the graininess (Screen Door Effect or Moire pattern) on this unit ? As josh's unit and some others on reddit talk about ?
@@alfagtaq4 I'm afraid that this won't be answered or only in the full review as this isn't good advertisement if their top displays have this Screen Door Effect...
Review of my favourite laptop by my favourite Tech UA-camr, aka, the Sultan of Silicon xD. That rant was insane lol. I agree, though I'm myself complicit by buying such overpriced things. But yeah, I'll not defend any such company. People willing to fight till death over defending blatant rip-offs by Trillion Dollar Corporations. THAT, is what is even more insane.
oh boy, I'm watching this in the morning now and already feel bad for you Andrew; for having to review these new Dell disasters (according to Josh)! More entertainment for us though :) p.s.: what's that jam during the intro? Sounds good lol. Edit: Is the price reduction permanent and global? Could you advocate for us Europeans too? haha! Crazy to think this config costs *3300 EUROS* here in the Netherlands. Im a software dev / light gamer and have a pre-order for the Yoga Pro 9i for 2070 Euros with a 10% discount included, 2.2-2.3K otherwise and comes with the Ultra 9 which looks really good in Josh's review. I can't believe the pricing on these Dell laptops. And starting with a FHD resolution and very low-power RTX on these models is a disgrace. I would have considered it if not for the price and function/esc keys being touch. Strange decisions Dell. At that price I'd consider just dropping everything and going full Apple / MB Pro / Max.
Battery life is the real deal-breaker. And the fact that if you have a look at the Benchmarks, the M3 MacBook Air literally gets the same or even much better results than this XPS 14, whilst consuming half the power [and not to mention being fan-less], is just insane. The SnapDragon X Elite better be good. Else, Windows laptops are done for the foreseaable future [except for the Gaming and Workstation ones ig].
I commented on your air review... still loving the apple.. 1st one ever. I have to re-iterate. In my use it's lightyears better than any of the Windows laptops I've used and I'm still using Windows on it. If the applications you use are compatible with Windows 11 arm version or IOS and you use your laptop as a laptop.. traveling and unplugged it's destroying my Thinkpad Carbon and Surface Laptop. Looks like that new Snapdragon may finally give it a run for it's money though. I agree their upgrades are a ripoff but for $1500 my m3 /16/512 runs circles around my $1500 THinkpad i7 1355u.. and it's unplugged and silent.
I bought the macbook pro 16 core i9 2 years ago. Piece of shit overheating. Never again. Today I have the galaxy book 3 pro 360, and I am happy even if performance is mediocre. The book 4 2024 isn't good enough to upgrade.
@@andrewmarcdavid Lunar Lake 17 watt has 50% better multicore than Meteor Lake-U 15 watt and next Gen P and E cores and new battlemage iGPU and also 4 to 5 times FASTER AI performance.

You do the most comprehensive and interesting laptop reviews on UA-cam, good job Sultan!

Based upon this video, I just ordered in graphite, OLED with 64gigs of RAM 👍 Thank you!

Which screen you like better? Xps 14 or macbook pro m3? Also how was battery on xps 14? Thanks

Yes stay tuned
When’s the review coming I ordered mine a few days ago and the waiting game is eating me up❤
In a couple of days

Apart from only 2 usable USB ports (fixed here) the XPS weak-point has been the battery life.
Is this support pen(stylus), and what is screen turn degree.

Amen tell the truth . I don't like apple products
Apple is good like the fruit.
Will you review the new Expertbook series from Asus too? I heard about b5404 and b3404 ,which are coming with 2xSO-DIM slots
Hopefully soon
Is it possible to lock the F1-F12 keys so that they are always available, and through the FN auxiliary keys be available?
@Andrew Still no news on the haptic touchpad version of x1 carbon gen 12?
I believe they are selling them now but no word on review unit yet
@@andrewmarcdavid I see. Eagerly waiting for the review.

You should have played some games and show to GPU performance… this video was more of Apple talk as compared to Dell … still I like it 😊

So far XPS 14 battery results are looking good

Well thank you 🙏
I don't get this mindset set, why a regular user would choose a crappie dGPU instead of a great OLED display?
