Saw you first time with John Mayall´s Bluesbreakers in the deep darkness of i think Weiden/ Bavaria. You and Coco were incredible besides the fading of a legend, playing with... "Playing with gloves on" is my favourite and mentioned , that you had severe health problems. I´m your Fan, i saw Eric, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Santana 11 times, B.B., Jimmy Page, Robert Cray, Neil Young, CSN, even Frampton after 17 years. For a berman, it wasn´t that easy, but I saw Jeff Healey 4 or 5 times live, you both would have been a dood pair. All the best for you, incredible, after we took you of the list. THank you!!!

Oh God yes, Jane. You're right there. Walter's music is our gift and his reward for all those years of suffering. I'm so happy he got his liver transplant and is clear of all that shit now. His music will live on and he taught his son pretty well too! I can't wait to see him in May in the UK because I used to have the same twin diseases and never got it together to see Walter play live during that long season in hell. I was in the music business too. Now I'm like Walter, free of the poison, my body's clear of everything thanks to the NHS (could never have afforded it in America), and it's a goddamn miracle. Walter's guitar is a beautiful soundtrack to come back alive to. I love Walter's band, tight as fuck, and especially love the guy who's always on Hammond organ.. Sorry, I don't know "Hammond guy's" name! I get what all Walter's self-penned classics are about but everyone has their own interpretation - another great thing about music. God bless him.
Sammy Avilla was Walter's "Hammond guy" for many years, until recently. He left to focus on the band Avilla, with his sons. ✌🏼

WT has become a better singer and songwriter since beating cancer.
Walter didn't have cancer. He had a liver transplant and actually died more than once during his long ordeal. Alas, it wasn't his time, thankfully.
