Flight season is coming soon. It's great you have the DX9 tutorials being there are so many radios out there. I learned a few more things about my radio that the heli manual I have just doesn't cover. Thanks for putting these out.
Been out of helis for a while and the new radio teck. LMAO was going nuts trying to figure out the throttle hold. I tried usung throttle cut like my planes but lol NOPE. TY so much . First video that explains the basics.
Hi love your videos. I have a DX7 Gen 2 TX and want to set it up for the blade 450x flybarless AR 7200BX your video is great on the gyro. Is it possible to do a video on the TX setup for the DX7 Gen2 as I can not find anything on the UA-cam channels. I'm not sure if theDX9 Gen2 video you have on your channel would be the same settings. Thanks in advance. Bob
Great info on each menu. Would love to see how to set up a helicopter throttle on a switch not the stick. Coming from a Futaba 32MZ I purchased this to try and fly my older helis but it makes no sense why they linked up channel 1 and channel 6 by default. Nothing anywhere on how to break the 2 channels apart.
So throttle on a switch is just the F Mode switch (idle up 1, idle up 2) where only the collective is used on the stick. I like to keep a normal mode that is run off the stick, however my "Normal Mode" will have 0 throttle at low stick, and then at like 10% stick, it goes to something like 60% flat for the rest of the travel. This way you keep a constant head speed (especially useful when using a governor) but just in case a panic sets in and you dump the stick to the bottom, you still have 0 throttle on the stick for landing and taking off. Hope that made sense lol.
great video. in the channel assign menu for a heli, channel 5 says gear. What does gear refer to? I'm a little confused on this menu and the channel input config menu. Do you have a video on this setup. thanks
Hey Tony, I will be happy to try to help out. Just know, a 250 is incredibly hard to fly unless you have a 6 axis gyro on it like an Icon or MicroBeast. My 250 that I had tried to take my head off multiple times and never really flew right. But if you come over to the forum, I will do what i can to help you set this little guy up! www.Rc-Help.com
I'm not sure what you meant by "oval", but I'm going to assume you meant "overall" and my answer to that would be a resounding YES! It has more channels than most people will ever need, great range (I can't remember having a brown out with this Tx) and a very friendly menu system. If you have the money, definitely get the DX9 or at least the DX8 G2 (uses the same firmware, just one channel short and missing some buttons and the sliders on the back). www.Rc-Help.com
@@RcHelpDotCom ocerall yes haha i am returning to the hobby from the old 27mhz fm radio so i am thinking about to buy one new radio for any aplications heli, plane, fpv drone etc, i dont really like the new ix12 i think its a bit to much tech i want just one quite good radio for any thing i might want to run
The DX9 would definitely fit that bill, that's for sure. The IX12 with its Android operating system can be slow at times and me personally, I just don't see a need to be on facebook while at the field lol. It is a nice Tx though but you pay for that "nice". The DX9 for what you listed will be perfect and the price tag is not too bad either. You don't have to get the Black Edition like mine with the case and everything, you can save some money by just getting the regular DX9 which is the exact same Tx, just without the flat black case or the carrying case. www.Rc-Help.com
You will just set the H in the throttle curve to 0 across the board. This will kill the motor, but still allow full collective and cyclic control. Make sure you set your pitch curve to your liking for H as well. www.Rc-Help.com
Hi Mate love your videos, could you show a little more detail, for swash plate type, maybe demonstrating with the different helicopters and the different setups on the helicopter itself thanks also if you have real flight 7 or something similar, how to setup the dx6-8 to work properly, atm I cant workout how to use stunt mode etc for the helicopters its maybe setup wrong for the controller in the software setup or RF7, I have the dx6 :-) thanks Dale
I did get it to bind and was able to see the controls respond but when I try to take off the throttle has zero push and does not even make the wings spin?
Heh man. Love the videos. Have watched all those for the dx9 which I now know why I m going to order for Christmas. Lots to set up and play with when I get it and I found your videos easy to follow and lay out what I need to do when I get it.
No worries. The setup is the same, just make sure your H %'age is not so low that the engine wants to die. Especially if you are wanting to practice auto's. I think for Murphy (600 Nitro DFC) I have it set to about 15% or so. Can't remember exactly and don't have my Tx here with me to check. But, while it is on the ground, just hit hold with it running (blades off of course) and hit throttle hold and see if it dies or speeds up from an idle. It should stay the same.
Amazes me that spectrum still sells radios in the 400+ price point when there are radios out there with the same range, and latency as theirs...from Reliable companies. I don’t see the fascination with them when companies like flysky and Frsky can sell nicer radios at less than half the cost
Frsky are hopeless with a flybarred helicopter ..open tx is a nightmare in that situation . I have a taranis and whilst its great for quads and fpv .. thats all it gets used for .

My pleasure Ken, glad to see another person in the helicopter hobby!
Is it possible to bind it with rc car?
I just ordered the 200s can't wait to get it. Next i'll be getting the 250 cfx.
Nice! Post them up over on the forum and let us know what you think about them. www.Rc-Help.com

Wuild you say that this might be one of the best oval rc fly radio?
