I am a *drummer* of 30+ years. Primus became one of my favorite bands from late 80's and onwards. I have seen numerous audition videos and many were very very good. Watching Josh play in many videos blows me away with his precision, ease, and exactness in execution. He could not be deeper in the pocket and he seems to be a good fit with his self deprecating quirky image and the skills to deliver. He is my pick for the next drummer of Primus.

Dude I’ve been watching your videos since I was a young teenager. You helped me learn so many songs from watching your covers and it dramatically improved my drumming, even though I’d been playing since I was 3. I took a lot from how relaxed and loose you play while still having so much power and I put you up there with all my influences like Vinnie Paul, Sean Kinney, and Tom Hunting. You’re seriously an unsung monster of drums. Nobody deserves to be in Primus more than you my man! Keep on ripping and thank you for getting me into Exodus with your Leonard and Charles cover 🤘🏻
As a heavy fan of Primus for 30 years now since I discovered them, and a huge fan of drums (finally got a set at 42 which was many years ago) I think you should be their drummer. Tim is my favorite drummer, "pudding time" is my favorite drum piece and I think you have the right touch. Well done.
This is the 3rd Primus drumming audition video I’ve seen in the last few days & this one is by far the BEST so far & this is coming from a drummer that has performed on many stages over the last 30yrs. This guy has great rhythm & presence. So if my vote counts, I vote for Josh, he ROCKS 🤘😝🤘
I think the best compliment I can ever give is if someone played this to me and I wasn't aware of the situation ( but was a primus fan ) I would say that herb was the one putting in the most effort in this concert, but it is in reality Josh who is making all the difference and since I can't tell the difference that says everything Now that the opportunity is there I hope Les makes the right choice This is truly incredible and Josh deserves to be part of the band

In the long long ago this mans drum play throughs helped me wrap my mind around songs I was trying to learn and understand due to his quality above others. Even early on in the platforms history! Playing specific live versions of primus tunes is such a hard flex and takes massive ballz. Exactly the kind of person they need! 🤘 Hope you get the shot would be insane!

keep posting man, i’ve been keep tabs on all of the auditions and i must say right now you are my frontrunner and favorite. i definitely think keeping consistent posts coming along majorly helps your case, as well as medleys and live takes such as this one. , plus i love watching these🔥🔥. i’ve seen a lot of these auditions to this point and i’d say you, tote fernandez, and nate_drums-official all have the raw skill, groove, pocket, and most importantly the nuance herb brings to Primus. However you’ve been keeping these post coming and absolutely crushing them, so in my personal opinion you’re doing a great job of standing out and making your case. i’m really gunning for you man and i wish all the best to you. don’t stop until it’s all said and done!
