I've been doing this same procedure, minus the plunger for years. All I do is clean the hair & scum out first, then baking soda, followed by vinegar. Wait 15 minutes, then boiled water! Works like a charm!! 😁
Thank you so much I had to switch over to baking soda and vinegar because it’s cheaper than Drain-O and besides there were some shortages on Drain-O during the pandemic and I do maintenance on my drains every 2 weeks
My bathtub had always drained slowly ,but today,it completely stopped!and was blocked,I came on UA-cam,saw your video ,went to Walmart and got baking soda & vinegar, did exactly as your video.boom!my bathtub drained so fast, was unbelievable.THANK YOU
And on top of that the remedy that actually works was not actually anything to do with the baking soda to baking soda actually turns the acid vinegar into less of an acid so it would have worked faster and been stronger if you just put the vinegar in their baking soda does nothing but make it fizz and that has nothing to do with why unclog the reason it unclogged was because the fittest vinegar ate through whatever clog and hair was baking soda was just for purifect smoke-and-mirrors try this pouring hot or warm vinegar in their next time or some boiling dish detergent water works just the same.
I've always been curious how and why plumbers don't know how to use a damn plunger you get pressure if you feel the pressure of water you don't take it out of the water Air does not push the clog out water does da job. once you have pressure water in your plunger ungulate. the plunger swiftly you put your feet in the dirty water get dirty as part of the plumbing business for the fun part of the plumbing business get in there and push it like fast not slow enough of course don't make a mess of it the toilet and it's got poo. Everywhere. keep the plunger with water do not take it out of the water but punch it quick you want to loosen so what's in there and then you'll see it go down I do this 20 times a day I never ever really ever have to use an auger they used the other to scratch the shit out of your your porcelain and they most of them don't know what the hell he doing gosh gee willikers
That was alot more than half a cup of vinegar, buddy. Also, draino can be used in the tub in accordance with labeling, but the hot water with vinegar & baking soda method should be attempted first.
All my drains are clogged with banking soda and salt, tried to rid the drain flies. I got the kitchen sink but the bathroom is fucked. Im an idiot. Im here to find out how to unclog it😢
I fast forward it to 1:58 because everything was a waste of time before that He said it was a half of a cup of baking soda, but never showed it in the video What did he do? And when did he pour the hot water? Smh
The reason why your plunging wasn't working is because you werent covering the overflow as well you have to cover them both at the same time when your plumbing or else it's useless when you're just forcing air back up overflow... I mean it's wonderful that you're trying to help people than all but at least make sure you know what you're talkin about/doing when you're helping
Sometimes you have to do it 10-15 times depending on severity of the clogged. It took me that many times before it became unclogged. Doesn’t always work on the first try using this method
Thanks for sharing! I'm going to give this a try tonight. Showering in ankle-deep water is no fun.
And??
My guest bathroom shower was the same after having a bunch of kids in the house. I tried this and it worked miracles!
@@BrandonMcCarty they never post what happened...
Ankle deep water... i can only assume its previously used water that hasnt drained out yet 🤮

So glad to hear that you unclogged your tub. Thank you for sharing.
Do it once a week!!
I use the baking soda and vinegar method 2 or 3 times a year for general maintenance, and to help the drains smell better. Thanks
Most definitely going to trying tomorrow
Hey this worked for me on the fist time thank you very much good sir

It worked! did it twice, thank you so much
Glad it worked for you
Definitely going to try this! Thank you for sharing ❤️🌹
Why didn’t you show the pouring of the scalding water and the free flowing of the drain?
Right?! Lol!
Thank you so much, this worked for us!
You're welcome.
I once emptied out an entire jacuzzi tub with a single shot glass.
Trying this now and so far it’s working. Waiting the ten minutes to add my boiling water 🤞
Good luck.😊
did it work??
thank u the boiled waer thing worked
I tried it and it’s still clogged. :(
Should this be done when my pipes are probably 40-45 degrees (F) or so I would guess.
Dawn, did it work? I got a slow-draining bathtub, I need to know!
Try that first, if that doesn't work. You might have to get draino for bath tubes only.
It works!!!
Thank you it works y’all
I will be trying this in the morning 😭.
Good luck. Hope you are able to fix drain.
@@DonzCoolVids it worked perfectly. Thank you so much
Can you use Cider Vinegar?

I tried this but it didn't work. I think my clogged drain is stubborn
Try hair and grease for tubs.
My overhead flow is an old one. I can't open it so that I can put a snake in there. I think it requires some special tools.
But how much baking soda do you pour down the drain?
He said a 1/2 a cup.
All my drains are clogged with banking soda and salt, tried to rid the drain flies. I got the kitchen sink but the bathroom is fucked. Im an idiot.
Im here to find out how to unclog it😢
Is this safe for old pipes?
It should be. It only vinager and baking soda.
How much vinegar do you pour in the tub
Try a cup first and more if needed.
You cut the most important part of the video. I'm not sure it worked.
I fast forward it to 1:58 because everything was a waste of time before that

Mine is still stopped up. Now what to do???!
Did you try the banking soda and vinegar?
@@michellekgothatsosibanda135 yes I tried the plunger, the snake, the baking soda and vinegar, hours later a bottle of drano then more vinegar.
The very last resort is Hair and Grease for Tubs at your hardware store.
@@DonzCoolVids ok. Thank you so much.

Tried this , didn’t work
Last resort hair and grease bath tub liquid to unclog.
