- Yes, It's finally here. the beta version of V-ray 5 is out with some significant new features.
in this video, we are going through some of the most important features of V-ray5 and I am going to show you how to use them.
I'm really excited about the Vray light mixer and material library.
Corona light mixer was a game-changer in the archviz industry but now we have LIGHTMIX in V-ray which is AMAZING...
with the V-ray Lightmixer, the intensity and color of the lights and light-emitting materials can be changed directly from the VFB during and after rendering. and we also have the composite as well, the beauty of the composite is that you are not limited to just two options like color and intensity. so in this aspect, I think V-ray went one step further than corona renderer.

What do you think? After this I’m thinking of switching to vray from corona... only because of render time with gpu vs cpu. That 3000 nvidea seems promising and moor cost affective then cpu

Render settings would be different from scene to scene. You can not use the same settings for all of your files. I'll make a video about that in the near future.
Corona render died when sold himself to Chaosgroup. Corona R.I.P

Actually I am not with you on that one. They have a totally separated path from v-ray and I still prefer corona over v-ray for archviz

Does it affect saved animated sequences too or just for frame buffer stills renders?
Do you mean the adjustment layers? I'd say yes, if that is your question
@@HMSTUDIO2020 Suppose i have a walkthrough or a camera animation and have adjusted few lights, also have added functions like curve editor or exposure control, now when i render an animated sequence out of it, will those functions show up in my rendered shot? as per as my knowledge in older version of vray when u make a curve adjustment in VFB it works for stills, for videos we need to do it either through render globals or in post.

There is a save button top of the frame buffer. It is easy to find
I personally think vray next gives better render than vray 5 because i used vray 5 but my render quality gets down its not giving a photorealistic render like vray next give
in vray 5 hdri map is missing how to get it? please give me answer of this question
You can use the VrayBitmap map insted
Hi, i got a problem with my lightmix, it wont detect my pre-vray 5 file with any light source!
Well, that is a bug with the beta version. The period of using beta version has finished. I believe that you won't have the same problem with the official version
it only supports brute force not irradiance map
Hi, vfb history is disabled it greyish color how can i enable it pez.
1: open up the Vray frame buffer. 2: select the VFB settings under the options menu 3: Enable the history under the history tab

Lightmixer cant be used with IR map but only with brute force method any thoughts on this

This beta version is not available anymore. but you can use the official version for a month
looks like there's no new VFB in max2017, only on newer versions... I still have an old VFB on 2017.
To be honest, I have no idea about 2017. But that seems to be right.

You don't need a license for this version. You can just download it from the chaosgroup website and use it for a limited time.
