I made this bread pudding today. It’s the best I’ve ever made. Super easy. I like that Anna states to “ cut off the crust.” My baguette slices were 3-4 days old. I keep them in a bread keeper. I will never throw leftover bread away anymore. Thank you Ms. A
I overbought loaves of bread for my house two days ago (I bought 2 loaves and someone else bought three loaves and we didn't check with each other). So, I decided to do bread pudding with one of the loaves and using Anna Olson's bread pudding recipe. It's amazing. It smells amazing and looks amazing and tastes really good. The taste was very nice. Everyone I shared with enjoyed it. Really good feeling to share. Felt great when see it coming out of my oven. To think this is my first time baking too (not kidding - cooking, yes. Baking, no). My kitchen looked like it's in a war zone; very messy. BUT I enjoyed the whole experience and good final result. Thank you Anna Olson.
Thank you for this quick, easy, and no nonsense recipe. I really appreciate the fact that you didn't unnecessarily fluff up the video and just got right down to it. Putting the recipe in the description field so it was a simple copy & paste to print it out was also a nice touch. Very well done.
This recipe brought back memories of my Grandmother. She use to make this when I was a child. I haven’t had bread pudding in over 20 years. Thanks for sharing and reviving memories!
Simplest, inexpensive sweet dessert to make. Can even be steamed in double boiler stovetop. My mom used to bake this, for everyday dessert. I remember her every time I bake bread pudding😘🤗
A delicious recipe, technically called bread and butter pudding. My mother used to make bread pudding, soaking the stale bread in water overnight and squeezing the water out in a clean tea towel, adding mixed spices, mixed fruit and sugar plus one egg and a knob of butter. Then slowly baked it in the oven till it was crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. This is the traditional bread pudding, sold in English bakerys. X
This is not a bread pudding. Where is the suet, brown sugar and mixed peel? Plus once mixed, you put in an oven for much longer on a low heat. This is more like a bread and butter pudding.
Anna, I don’t watch TV. Too dark these days. I watch cooking, and other hobby/interest videos. Your vids are the best! Great choices, all appetising, plus you’re adorable, funny and kind. Keep up the great work! You’ll be at a million subscribers soon! I’m praying for that for you! Love from Sydney, Australia
Wow that was so simple and looked delicious...the good thing is that you always provide very easy and understandable ways in baking, very accurate ways which make it easy for everyone I am sure...thank you so much 😊
what I like about this channel is... The recipes are on the description section. We don't need to visit her blog or page just to get a recipe. #Subscribed.
Yeah true! I hate blog sites. They take forever to get to the point of the recipe, it's like... it was a beautiful day the sun was shining, I went out for a nice walk with the dog and then if it hit me! I should bake something and they go on and on and on talking about everything but the recipe .I like the fact that the recipes are at the bottom. I agree.👍👍👍👍👍👍

Thank you so very much - I’ve tried this recipe, (soaked raisins in a lil rum n zapped in microwave for a few ) It is delicious - ps for Adults only 😉- Blessings from Houston. (New fan)
This looks delicious Anna , gonna try your recipe, here in Dominican Republic we make a syrup with sugar, brandy and dash of water , and pinch of nutmeg (optional and pour it on top before cutting it, in fact we make few incisions on bread in order to soak it all in, yum. I wanna try first the one with banana , raspberry an caramel.
Hola Anna un saludo gracias por tu programa muy buena profesional de la repostería podrías subirlo con la traducción en español ya q ah veces aparece en Español y otras en Inglés 👏
Hi Anna, Looks delicious! It's a staple Winter dessert here in Cape Town, and lucky us, we are heading into Winter. Haven't used cream in my custard mixture before, but will definitely try it. We also add a few crushed cardamom pods and pieces of stick cinnamon placed on top of the pudding before baking. Just for the added flavour. It is delicious! Thank you!
I made this for my school potluck and guess what..they ate it in no time at all coz they said it was so delicious they just couldn't stop eating it ...thanks a lot Anna for this amazing recipe 😊
Im going to try all of your recipe😆😂😂...its all get easier when you done that...everything is such a piece of cake to you...your kitchen is so beautiful...i hope i have a big kitchen just like you..ahhhaha
Do you mean you put caramel in the pan instead of butter or? As for the chocolate. Do you use chips for cookies or actual baking chocolate? Do you add them like Anna did with the raisins or do you put it on top? I'm not a fan of raisins. Yours sounds right up my alley... 👍
@@cristaldimv thanks for the reply. I've never had bread pudding. It just never appealed to me but with these flavors? Oh yeah! I'm looking forward to it now. 😋 Thanks again. Be well and stay safe...
Hi!1) dont we need to boil the milk/cream 1st?? 2)can we save the ingredient after mixing them in advance (fridge them 1st), but we will only bake them few days later? Ok to do so?
Hi! i want try this. May i just ask several questions: 1. Can i use a 8x8 glass pyrex pan? 2. How can i measure the bread i need in grams? Whats the equivalent weight of 4 cups of bread? Thank you!
What about adding thick slices of bananas instead of raisins? Has anyone here tried that? I've never made nor have I ever had bread pudding. Love that you can make a dessert with things you already have in the house. Thanks Anna... 😉
Hiya Anna, Gorgeous!!! That is a a similar style of bread pudding that we make here in Lancashire England. I'm definitely going to make some later as I have some day old home made Spelt bread. In my local Bengali store they sell sultanas but call them green raisins. They are really big and juicy and packed by a well known, quality Indian food company called, Heera. They are worth looking for and inexpensive. Stay safe, David.🌞❤️xxx
Can I use bread that was frozen for pudding? I’ve been freezing the heels from our bread loaves. Can those be thawed then used? We just don’t eat enough bread to have 4 cups within a day.

My father always wanted bread pudding. My mother wouldn't make it. So he would put bread cubes in a dish with milk and sugar.
The quality of this channel is amazing. Really well shot and produced.

Was just about to say it was bread and butter pudding. 'Bread pudding' is something completely different 😁
I prefer the crispy chunks of bread than Mashed Breads in this recipe!!🙄🙄👏👏
Chexit exactly!! This is Americanized version!!🙄🙄👎👎

Exactly, this is definitely not bread pudding, it's delicious, but it is bread and butter pudding....a different kettle of fish altogether!
Ohh, I’ve already made this... more than once and it’s great. Do yourself a favor and prepare it, it’s easy and delicious.

Adding cream.... for the custard! Only Anna knows how to touch it up a notch🙄 to an ol` fashion depression time dessert... oh my! 🍲.::YUM::.🍲
They also used condensed milk instead of cream in the depression era recipe. Who could afford cream? 😁

A scoop of ice cream goes well with fresh out of the oven bread pudding. And A table spoon of whisky sauce nocks it out of the park.
I use to make bread pudding, i usually add young coconut meat plus raisins and instead of whipping cream i use young coconut water plus milk.
Can I use bread that was frozen for pudding? I’ve been freezing the heels from our bread loaves. Can those be thawed then used? We just don’t eat enough bread to have 4 cups within a day.
Just finished making a Sacher Torte, now I want bread pudding!
Usually my mom make this type of dessert but I guess I should try to make it too
Hi Anna. Can I double this recipe to make it bigger? Can I bake it for 1 hour though I double the amount.?Thank you.
