Especially since Saturday Night Live wasn't doing so well in the early 1980s. There was also SCTV, which a lot of people didn't have access to until NBC acquired it.
hysterically funny show. So many memories...the Monks who say M between every word...the speed freak pharmacist ("There's too many people in here!!!")...great stuff.
interesting foreplay for a wife swap... lmao, 1:43. you can hear the sound of richards hollow head, he looks a little bit stunned, i think larry david was getting some pleasure from that. it definitely set the tone for the whole sketch. hilarious.
I met Maryedith Burrell way back when, when I was in the 6th grade (1996). She's from my home town and was friends with my 6th grade teacher. Came to class to talk about her acting experience. In retrospect, it's kinda depressing now, seeing as I think the last thing she acted in was playing "nun #2" in Ready to Rumble, back in 2000.
I used to love this show...Not many people remember or know about it...ANNNND I was blown away because I didn't realize that was Larry David. HighIQBoy, do you have the episode where Melanie Chartoff was literally KO'd during a sketch...Priceless.
Does anyone remember a sketch that I think was referd to as "The Attack of the Snappy Things" ? Those days are a bit blurry to me but as I recall this really was good competition for SNL. Very funny troop.
Larry David looks like Steven Wright with that hair-do. Thats crazy LD and MR acted together in a sitcom, so funny. This show is pretty damn good for a show in the 80's.
I couldn't agree more! S.N.L., at least back in those days, was too full of drug-addled humor...Plus, Fridays featured famous music acts instead of S.N.L.'s bizarre underground---once again---drug based stuff. Miss that show, Fridays!
Larry David has always been a terrible actor playing someone else. You can see he was in his head putting words together. He is lucky he didn't try to come up at this time and age.
The woman who plays Michael Richard's wife in this skit (Maryedith Burrnell) is a teacher of mine in College. Nice lady.
I remember a sketch/segment called "THAT's MESHUGGE!"(spelling?!- forgive my Yiddish). It was a play on John Davidson's show, "That's Incredible!"...
Larry & Michael look so young! They forgot the wedgie and the super atomic wedgie.
Omg! I remember this show as a teen made sure I did all my chores after school, so that I can stay up late to watch it.
I loved that show. I remember Nat-E-Red had a cooking show and a Gym. Would love to see those again.
I don't know why Larry David reminds me of a combination of Art Garfunkel and Paul Simon in one body
You may have something there
i think that strike to michael richard's head may have caused the character of kramer.
Fridays was a good show.
Especially since Saturday Night Live wasn't doing so well in the early 1980s. There was also SCTV, which a lot of people didn't have access to until NBC acquired it.
Wow... great example of how 'George Costanza" came to be

Yeah I agree. I never knew why Friday's got cancelled.
that hit to kramers head caused an ABI
i knew that guy reminds me of something. that was larry david lol. thanks.
George! Must be one of those high school kids on DRUGS! Wheres my gun!

Didn’t realize Larry David used to have a Richard Simmons thing going on
ALMOST rockin' a "Jew-fro"!😄
A brilliant actor and a brilliant writer being wasted on a late night sketch show, lol.
This show seems like it it was super unhinged!
This show was pretty good and then Saturday the Eddie Murphy era of snl was on. Good times for a kid.
Much funnier that SNL at least in memory. They never got the respect.
Maybe I am dreaming, but I seem to remember somebody called the Queer Monster on this show.I thought it was played by Michael Richards.

Anyone remember a skit with Richards saying something like, That's what's wrong with kids these days, they never killed nobody?
It seems like Larry David used to refuse his hair loss. The inevitable.
Larry looks a lot better NOW!...it's like he was in a hair cocoon & emerged a handsome butterfly! 🦋
A younger, hairier Larry!
nice hair larry!

Michael didn't know back then that someday Larry David was going to make him a millionaire.
larry didnt know michael one day would make the worst racist rant nin history
Seinfeld rocks!
My IQ is 420😊
Wow, he dosen't look like Larry David at all without the glasses.
they had to start somehow....I bet if Larry had not met michael, there probably wouldn't have been a Kramer

Just think he'd actually have some $ if they licensed it on DVD, now that his career died..............
Wilthomer I know, because they strip you of your 💯 million + when you're publicly racist. The guy is minted.
