Such a beauty, and just to think that 2,000 years from now they will only find plastic bags and bottles buried underneath their feet, unfortunately that will be our legacy to the future generations. Thank you sir for taking your time to share these masterpieces.
When you first see that helmet it kind of takes your breath for a second. I think that for everything we know about them, there must be so much we will never know. So many stories about people that were never recorded. But the remains, the ornate swords, the spears and axes, I get a sense that they lived life in this world in a way that we modern only dream about. Surely our movies and shows and documentaries can only catch a glimpse of that past.
Being able for all of us to see these awesome things is a blessing. So much culture and history involved. This guy Bjorn, a super great host as well. Kind of sentimental for me. 👍 Even better with possitive people presant to enjoy this with✌️
There's something so surreal and beautiful about these artifacts. The amount of time and work that went into creating these masterpieces is amazing and it just goes to show how talented our ancestors were. It's a shame we will never get to know the full stories behind them, I bet they'd be better than most modern films nowadays. Thanks for sharing this wish us Bjorn, I feel privileged and am grateful. Till the next one :)
@@BjornAndreasBull-Hansen I have watched many of your videos and am glad to finally see the truth and respect the Vikings and their descendents deserve. My ancestors come from Norway back to the Vikings on both sides of the family but I live in America. On the side of my mother they made it from Norway to the Scottish Highlands in Scotland and we are descendents of the Scottish Clan Cameron. On my grandfather's side we were given surnames to protect us as we came from Norway yet are Swiss in our name. Please stay away from the Catholics.
When I see things like this, I can’t help but think someone along time ago touched these things with their hands and try and put myself there. Makes your mind run wild.
all remains of the viking peoples need to be respected. thanks for pointing that out about the skull. these are our ancestors. our blood. those who fought for us and their spirits live forever.
Is there a way to respectfully display things like that? I understand the need to respect the ancestor but at the same time, it’s incredibly interesting and it means that we don’t forget them. Otherwise they’d just be lost to time like everyone else.

I saw some tweets from the archaeologist who started reassembling the Gjermundbu helm at the beginning of last year, since in its previous display it was put together incorrectly and missing a few pieces that had been miscategorized as parts of a pot. Glad to see they finished and it’s finally on display in its full glory.
I traveled to Norway September 2019, to visit the land of my ancestors. This museum was my favorite part of the whole trip. So thankful for my photos of the artifacts!
WOW. This was incredible. Two things really made me amazed. The first thing was that we here watching your awesome channel got to see these things before most of the entire world. The second (and most important thing) was that you Bjorn, having been invited to this exclusive event chose to share this with us here. This is very humbling. Thank you very much for thinking about all of us and sharing this amazing (literally once in a lifetime opportunity!) exhibition. You are a GREAT person, both in words and deeds. Thank you!!!!!!
This is an amazing exhibit! A couple years ago a viking exhibit came to a local museum in Utah, and it was amazing to see. To learn more of his my ancestors lived and the culture surrounding them. I keep thinking i ought to book a flight to Oslo to see the museum, and this is convincing me. Thanks Bjørn!
That is why I love history! To see the things that people touched and wore so many centuries ago. What I really love are the wood and bone combs with animal carvings on them.
Thank you for sharing that footage as without it I would never have seen such beautiful artifacts. The collection of artifacts looks very good and you are lucky to have them on display. Cheers from Australia

Thank you Bjorn for the opportunity to view these items., Also, from my heart, thank you, thank you, for the feelings of respect for the lady. I have the same feelings as you for bodies ''dug up'' without thought . May she travel in peace. Skaal Bjorn, please take care
Thank you for sharing this awesome display of our history! I'm with you as far as displaying human remains, but her burial did raise those valid questions you had mentioned. I look forward to seeing more from you soon!
Thank you. I have been following you for a while now. I enjoy your perspective and unique take away on life. I lived a viking mentality life with my husband, God rest his soul, for 27 years.
