Basically HD650 with better, more controlled bass and detailed highs is...almost the perfect midranger if one is not obsessed with sound-stage. I'll give my respect to the creative team of OLLO. Not sure about design though 🙂 Good job, man, some items can only be seen on your reviews!

I quite like the minimalistic fresh, environment friendly design. It's like a breath of fresh air. I understood sound stage is not the best part, but for the rest...between HD600, OLLO and Sundara...what would you pick if you could only listen for the rest of your life using just one pair of headphones?👍

How would you compare them to the Magni? I really enjoy the Magni except 2 things - A little too much extension and energy in the upper mids, and I felt that vocals were always a step in front of everything else. Since the S4X has a slight dip in the presence region, are they less bright than the Magni? Is the S4X on the same level as the Magni in terms of sub and mid bass?
I bought the Aune S6 pro because of your recommendation. Great piece, would you think it would be able to drive these OLLO headphones through its balanced port?
Another pair which has got some attention is the Sivga Phoenix. Should be an awesome sounding pair for its price which is 265€. Would love to hear your awesome opinion on them.
S6 PRO would easily drive the S4X. OLLO made them extremely easy to drive, even out of portable sources as DAPs.

This was on my radar...seems like it didn't manage to qualify as one of your top headphones list?
Why no one test and show the sound of theses headphones... is it to difficult?

what would you say about wearing comfort in comparison with the S4, besides the clamp force? the old wire headband was a bit of a snug fit for me, tbh, and i've had one owner tell me this one was even a bit smaller?
that's the main reason why i can't decide between an upgrade or just getting the new pads....
the wire headband has absolutely the same length as the newest metal frame, same size, it just clamps less and the newest hybrid earpads are more comfortable too. Considering the improved inner-acoustics, I do think upgrading to S4X is a much better idea. Just look at those measurements I did, the improvements are huge!

How would you compare these with the Hifiman Sundara? Given their price is similar and the Sundaras and both being neutral with excellent detail and clarity.

@@ChrisKeyman Compared to the S4X it's significantly more neutral, has a slight recess in the 2khz region and sub-bass rolls off a bit, but much better than the crazy dips of the S4x. Sundara is a far superior headphone for sound quality, I had both, returned the S4X and kept the Sundara.

Sundara has crazy treble boost.
And also the vocals are far away from you. Also has faster decay that is not natural.
Ollo s4x was more neutral by far.
Maybe you didn't give time for burn
@@ChrisKeyman S4x has a major treble dip that is not neutral at all, you might want to look at measurements not done on a rig without an ear simulator. The 2020 edition of the Sundara is FAR more neutral. The decay is common to all planars and detail is far greater. The S4x was pretty poor.
@@jasonfranciosa with all the respect, I trust my ears more than the measurements.
Sundara provides a "fake" detail because of the wider Soundstage.
But this also fake Soundstage is not useful for reference headphones.
It's good for enjoyment only.
if these are that good, why are there no sound tests for any of these products?
i want a simple test of the headphones compared to an original recording....not lines on a paper!!
