Victor Wooten made his album using an 8 track Roland VS-880 lol My grandson makes incredible sounding pro studio tracks on his garage band app alone You can now record an entire pro studio album using apps on your phone The $600 per hour studio is just about dead but some artists still like the look and feel of a massive room with expensive Neumann mics and 64 channel mega SSL mixing boards with lots of fancy monitors and speakers and special lighting
Indeed, as do I like a Wall of Limiters, Delays, United Audio LA2A Compressors, Patch Bays, Iso Rooms, 8 Mics on the Drums, JBL Studio Monitors Nested in the Control Room angled at a 45 Degrees, Steinway 8 Ft Grand, Pecky Cedar Walls, and a Lounge with Refrigerator and Pinball Games! But Music doesn't pay those Bills to justify it all anymore!
I have the VS 2400 and the VS 2480 I use for my cover recordings. Awesome machines . . I'm after selling them both, but I need to somehow save all the files from them to my computer . .Still working on that . .
Simply mixed down my song files to a PC sound card running Audacity, and exported them from Audacity to MP3 files. However the VS2480 can also burn to a CD.

I believe I heard Alisha Keys did a CD on the VS2480 too.
2:32. That is quite a jam!

It sounds great!!
You want to use track offsets, and that way you can keep your faders in the unity gain area (where they have the highest resolution)
Great. I have a vs that doesn't play the tracks and when it does there is static. Can I swap my hard drive with another used vs to retrieve my songs?
May Yahweh bless you brother
Was that song (2:35) recorded on the vs2480? Sounds awesome
I’ve had one for years I can’t believe how much there slept on
Eric Jackson what it is it’s a whole new generation, the learning curve gets most ppl with these machines. I’m looking for one😇🎶❤️🎹✌🏿
Was thinking on getting one of this to complement my mov one :)
Did you ever get one?
Good song.
Sounds like acoustic alchemy
Still a capable device?
If you mean Comparable to a good DAW, such as Cubase 10 or above, not really.
@@KokasIsland Trying to go DAWless affordably. A bit confused on options. Tascam DP-series?
I bought one of the first ones made and it stopped working about a year ago
donde puedo conseguir una roland vs2480 nueva ?
How did you get the sound to go out and onto the computer

KokasIsland thank you I will try
very disturbing that camera, moving so much
i think he has parkinson disease id voice is shaking as well
Will the vs 2000 do fine without the software ?
Yes. Hook a small monitor and mouse/keyboard combo if you want to interface it easier.
If you really need to use the zoom slow it the #%*& down brother!
Peter Magyary Older Sony HandyCam, can’t slow the zoom speed. Complain to Sony.
i own one you can slow it down by pressing lightly @@KokasIsland
I am a Roland VS 2480 owner and user so any video on UA-cam is really helpful, but Kokasland... this is really bad camera work man, really bad.
Peter Magyary This was a video for pre-sale, for a potential buyer, not an instructional video. Don’t need your opinion on the camera work.
It made me dizzy Kokasland it made me dizzy!
As I said I lke any video on the VS 2480 so thank you for that contribution.
