I am sure, the old Bach would be pleased! Here is one of the few Musicians who understood the structure of Bachs Masterpiece and could actively work with this great material. The great experience: he stays so close to the score!!! Thanks from the Bach Country Germany 🎉
At the start, I was unamused. I'm classical first. But at the switch to boogie, I had to laugh. And at the end, I'm clapping with everyone else! Thank you!
I wondered if I was gonna like this when it started Top job guys, you won me over! Brilliant execution, the further you got from the original , the more I liked it! Keep on doing what you are doing guys😊
Jazz arrangements of Bach's pieces (also this Toccata and Fugue) habe been around already some decades - have a look for Jacques Loussier's oeuvre, which is a bit more conventional jazz than this particular arrangement, but absolutely worth listening.
One always has to wonder what the composer would think of the innovation with one of their pieces. I think that Bach would have liked this. He was an innovator in his own right.
@@mrfirehand I'll second the "WOW!". I ws a little skeptical when I saw the piano: I think all the keyboard versions of this work I own are either organ or synth. But you rendered it beautifully. The disappointment is that there wasn't more of the jazz and boogie portions: you did really well at "translating" motifs ad themes into different styles. I hope to find more of that. And more of your other jazz and boogie work.
It makes me feel good to hear someone play this lovely song one of the first rags i learned now im old cant play worth a fig but you keep playing this its timeless i hope young people keep learning it
Me, too 🙂 This is one of my favorite works of all time. I've listened to it literally hundreds of times, in multiple versions, over the last 50 years. My thought at the end was "Wait! It can't be over. Where's that final chord?". Of course, the real disappointment was that there wasn't more.

Thank you very much!
Even Bach would have been impressed. I love classical music but this is a special talent. Thank you.
Thank you very much!
Bach and jazz work so very well.
Excellent!, Jacques Loussier did jazz Bach really well, and these guys take a different approach, but also great. Love it!
The connection between classic and Jazz is so very close. What a beautiful arrangement 👏
I think this piece is my favorite song. I love it when creative musicians interpret it. I love this interpretation.
Just fantastic and I love it very much

Thank you very much!

One always has to wonder what the composer would think of the innovation with one of their pieces. I think that Bach would have liked this. He was an innovator in his own right.
I’m sure he would have approved and loved it.
Thank you very much! I also hope that Bach would have liked this :)

Reminds me of the Jacques Loussier trio.
Definitely. But much less inspired.

Really good!
I can just visualize Vincent Price dancing to this while giving a tour of his dungeon.
😅
Reminds me of Ekseption!
Bach aurait adoré cette version !!!
Non 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
🙏🙏🙏👍👍
thing more about it.. if high level music should be turned into lower lever satisfaction then music is in the wrong way.. but go on and enjoy...
Thank you so much for giving us permission to enjoy it.

coool, very good, thank you very much, great, loved it a lot
I had wondered if this had been done, I'm glad to see it has.
I heard the pianist felt sorry for his piano teacher when his teacher told him "I used to work for Peanuts".
Brilliant. Loved it. Old Johann's probably turning in his grave!🤪
Great. Reccon you're right about Johann!
Nah. Bach would approve. And he would take the improvisations and riff off them into a 5 part fugue.
Lovely arrangement. Inspired by Jacques Louissier?
Bach would be rolling over in his grave while tapping his blue seude shoes.
Wow - he does on one piano what others would do on four hands!
Thank you very much!
Brilliant!
There's a saying: Just because a thing can be done, doesn't mean it should be done. Yeah, professionally played, but it has no soul.
Blimey...
JAZZ TOCCATA?
Exceptionel good
I demand the partiture!!!

Mr. Firehand indeed!
Anyone else here from the lobster?
I just turned to a lobster watching this…
