I'm thinking about starting a channel. In a month I will have been a working nurse for one year, and on my pay check last week I officially made $100,000. By the end of the summer I will have paid off $30,000+ of debt. Nursing is hard work but it's worth the financial freedom and stability. My family and I have decided on moving to California for a few years. My daughter is starting her senior year so I'm willing to grind it out in Atlanta for one more year for her. Then we are out. I'm working on my PMHNP and hope to be bi-coastal between Cali and ATL in the next 3-4 years, with the goal of early retirement in 12 years. How many careers today can you reach financial freedom in a short amount of time like this? I'll wait 🤔 Thanks for motivating me Tawanda, you really put the fire under me with you video about nurses being broke and miserable. I knew I didn't want that to be me so I made a change.
OMG Kandy🙌🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Thanks so much for sharing this with me. It means more than you know. I’m so proud of you. You’re definitely on track to becoming a millionaire!! Get that channel started. Hi nurse Tawanda, I’m doing the 100 envelope challenge, and putting $1,400/ mo of my income in a high yielding savings account! I’m not playing going into 2025 with at least $15,000🎉 I’m speaking and writing it into existence! ❤
Good one!! Nurse Tawanda. When i made $22,000 a month as a nurse working 2 part-time jobs, i knew i can make $100k in a month onr day. Focus and hard work can take anyone there. Do the mathematics and become financially free.
OK Hustler get that bread🍞 girl ...not mad at u...love to hear different Industry paid grade....I'm in the door to door industry for almost 30 years, ..made money like that a 100 times over...it's abt your want to win attitude...keep up the great success🎉🎉
I'm 38, and in my 2nd semester of my LPN program. I will continue with my BSN once finished. I work full-time and travel to a different state for school. It's rough, but I will not stop until I have my 2nd career as a nurse.
Move to California. Apply for California RN License. Then once you have your RN License, apply in the Bay Area Hospitals. Top Hospitals that pays well here in the Bay Area are Stanford, Kaiser Permanente, UCSF, Washington Hospital, and Sutter Health. I made the right decision of moving here in California. Its here that I get paid $110/ hour for full time 40hours/week. I encourage all nurses to apply for California RN License and then apply for a job here in California.

Thanks Chasity! I’m definitely in my bag right now. Lots of changes with the economy right now. I’m encouraging everyone to #getyourbag and hold on to it tightly 🤑💰💵💚💚💚💚 I remember you from the Broke Nurses series I did. Thanks for continuing to support the channel❤️ Broke Nurses will be back soon 🤫
Thank you Ms. Tawanda for sharing all this information. Question: I entertained the idea of moving into home visits: Hospice, Palliative care. I went on a home visit the other day and the roaches made me rethink it all together. What do you do in the event you enter in a patients home and they have roaches, bad!!??
The agency should provide you with the disposable shoe covers. And only bring the ABSOLUTE necessities for what you need to do in the home and that’s it. I don’t bring my computer or anything like that in. I get in the house, do what I need to do and skedaddle on outta there 😅
As a prn nurse can you negotiate saying you want to do only start of cares or do you need to find a position saying admissions nurse. I currently work as a home health nurse in NJ but to get over $3000 biweekly I need to do at least 4 to 5 start of cares on the weekend. So now I currently work every Saturday 🫠🫠
Can you explain more on how you got the PRN jobs that you’re working and your nursing experience? I only have experience with med surg tele. Also did you do travel nursing during Covid?
Hi Evelyn, do you know what your hourly wage is? If so you can use an Income Tax Calculator to determine what your paycheck will be after deductions. Let me know if this helps. Congratulations on your journey 🎉
Hi, this video was focused on pay. I share time in my other videos: Day In The Life of A Home Health Nurse. I usually start seeing patients at 8AM and I’m done seeing patients between 12PM and 100PM. I’ve never worked an eight hour day in this position in the field. The only way I do 8 hours is because I complete my documentation when I get home. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching 😊
