- In today's video we tour Dobo Farms located at Abura Dunkwa in the Central Region of Ghana.
Dobo Farms is a 50 acre farm containing a 10,000 capacity poultry farm, 500 capacity pig farm containing breeds such as durocs and large whites, 15 acre maize farm, goats(boar), sheep,turkey and guinea fowl.

Duros are only brown in color. And when you cross breed it with large white it get lite brown color and small small blacks spots on them ❤

How much can someone use to start up the standard farm like this in Nigeria.
I am a Jamaican now living in Canada. I grew up on a farm I have worked on a few farms. at our highest we had 358 goats 300 chicken 400 rabbits 370 guinea pig 30 cows corn callaloo carrots peanuts papaya mango pears We were a small scale farm. There are so so many undesirable practices on this farm wow you need to straighten up or you will have more losses. This farm is wasting so much resources. They need to retrain the staffs on land management and animal husbandry. Birds typically lay 2 eggs over a 3 day period. The solid feeding system is incorrect the watering system is incorrect. The housing is wrong the lighting system in the shelter is wrong. the egg laying system is wrong. All in all this means you are spraying resources in the wind. All the housing structures on this farm are incorrectly constructed and poorly managed. This farm is a lesson in what not to do. The director I would fire him and hire a true farm manager. Everyone on this farm needs a good strong solid 12 months schooling. You are truly wasting 8X of $s on this farmland.

Nice video but I think the sizes of the poultry pens he is mentioning in terms of feet are not true. especially with the 600 x 50 feets he mentioned🤔 we can clearly see the distance in length as you guys walked to its end. walking 600 feet is not a small distance pls 🙏 pls confirm that for us.

You're correct. 600 feet is equivalent to the length of two football fields. The structure in question is not up to the length of one football field
What about the goats 🐐 and the guineafowls…you didn’t interviewed him about that. You were more into the chicken and the pigs only
They didn’t have enough on the farm since they were on a small scale. I will bring you guys videos on those soon.
