I’ve never been this grateful to a UA-camr like I’ve been to this woman,i day dream everyday about a video like this and she presented it on a silver plater for me,I’m forever indebted.
I am a Kenyan living in Canada, I can't help watching you and Wode Maya. When the time is right for my success, I don't know which one of you will interview me first. God bless you and what you are doing.
Both my friend and I are in Canada and currently have a farm outside Nairobi. This man is an inspiration to all of us Africans in the diaspora. We should connect
I wish the Namibian government can send Namibian youth to go learn from Mr Dan. Our country is desert country and we need green house agriculture. Thanks Dentaa for this informative interview again.
Agri-Impact Group is indeed a very inspiring group of organizations. I've had the opportunity to visit the daweanya greenhouse and its nothing short of amazing. Thumbs up to Mr Dan Acquaye for the astounding work. Ghanaian youth are thankful for the shoutout as well.
I would make an honest critic, firstly Dan this is a fantastic self motivation to get people on board and Ghana is too late lagging behind already. See the advanced world farmers get lots of financial free input because Agric sector is very cost intensive to begin, the likes of irrigation and land planning alone which is even just the basics. Despite all the cost, advanced governments pay because they know food has to be produced at all costs. Ghana is at the bottom pile of Agric innovations and production in Africa due to certain historical background not to be mentioned yet. Even the vendors besides their borrowed money from banks still need certain assistance from the gov. The start up cost is very much capital intensive for anyone since almost everything is imported, not your fault but the state of the country. Compare cost in say Asian countries where nothing would be imported, and straight away you can see that we cannot compare with them in pricing produce. The Ghana gov has to put it as first priority why we need to feed ourselves (like operation feed yourself, in the then Kutu's regime which he succumbed to). Dan also mentioned few crops to be capitalized on as a nation. When you consider that most government agendas are to cook up projects, borrow from abroad in order to share and loot, it makes you wonder, is that all it takes to govern?
I'm in KNUST and we have 10 greenhouses [lath house]. Thanks to the Ashanti king Otumfor Osei Tutu. I'm pursuing my Bachelors in KNUST in Agriculture. Agricultures' not only about drudgery work but it can be clean .Adding the knowledge in entomology , mycology and plant pathology makes you appreaciate Agric.
I have a much bigger net house I built last year for other purpose. Once you’re determined and passionate about getting something done, no amount of challenges can stop you. I faced the similar challenge when I first saw the location of the land and what I had to go through to get inputs transported there. Today it’s a small village with every basic amenities you can think of
Here July 21 2023 . Any Country/Nation that relies on their food source to come from other countries have made one of the biggest mistakes ever..Farming/Agriculture is the single most important factor for any country/Nation. I have tons of respect for those indigenous people on the African continent that are in Agriculture/Farming. I am eager to see farm lands that resemble those of California owned and operated by the indigenous people on the African continent..These are the content that is of value and speaks volumes.. I hope that the Private Sector /Hotels,Guests Houses/Supermarkets chains Restaurants in Ghana support these Farmers.
Mr. Dan reminds me of my Father. We have a big farm here in America. I hate to sale it. But I'm ready to venture out and come back to the Motherland and bring my skills back home. I'm very interested in this operation.
Great video. Excellent presentations by everyone. I worked for five years at a hydroponic farm in USA, Georgia. The extended growing season in Ghana improves profitability. Great business model. Best of luck to you.
Thanks for the ideas, explanations and figures. What I missed was , the cost of production; for instance, how much does Ivy needs to pay for her seeds/seedlings, fertilizer, other chemicals or inputs and how much goes to services provided? Obviously one needs to know the figures for sales and as well as inputs. Thanks
Super Super inspired by Mr Dan’s work. Been wanting to delve into Agriculture for a minute now and now I know when my journey begins I got legends to learn from. Bigs ups to Mr Dan. These are the type of people we need . One Love❤
Excellent video Denta, I want to BIG UP Mr. Acquaye for his innovative foresight, I am super impressed, he is a genius, well done Mr. Acquaye you are an inspiration.
This is a very good segment. Very informative. I have always been interested in agriculture, I may come and learn. Again, Thank you for this great segment!
Great. Mr. Daniel you are doing a great job for Ghana. Thank you. Very encouraging business to venture. If you don't venture you won't gain. Odana Network kudos to your elbows for bringing us wonderful farming in Ghana.
Thank you for the opportunity to learn about greenhouse farming. It's a great way to change our mindset in entrepreneurship, especially in this economy of high rates of youth unemployment and underemployment.
Congrat to Mr Dan Acquaye for your amazing work not only in feeding the globe but also mentoring and educating masses through this channel. However, I strongly advise that he practises exclusivity especially when dealing with the capitalist societies from the west. Africa is a land of beautiful generous people with plenty of abundance in resources and knowledge. We have always been welcoming and kind to others but time and time again this has been reciprocated negatively. For example I had Mr Dan Acquaye speak about visits from the Europeans who marvelled at his achievements but failing to properly acknowledge/appreciate his wealth of ideas that he freely shared with hope of attracting investments that end up exploiting us in varied ways and at different levels.
Africa is also a good source of meeting its own future needs and that of the world when it comes to agriculture.Either others with more power will buy up and use that land or we do it.But that means we actually use it well and protect it.
Agriculture is extremely important. It’s how we eat! Our community needs to be more into agriculture. Black Farmers in America went through hell for their rights when dealing with Caucasians in America Agriculture is a big part of our history
Love seeing the greenhouse solutions actually in operation. I really am impressed that he is looking for hands-on investors, not someone to sit back and dictate.
I like 👍 and want to challenge for if my country leaders have these foundation for an interesting in agriculture .l support. Thanks please need more from you 🙏
if 5 of us from this platform come together with $10k each we can go and buy one or two green houses, make money and help cut down on importing from other countries. I am very grateful for this insight thank you Denta and Mr Acquaye
Hello Miss Dentaa, I just stumbled upon this incredible show and learned much from the video. Please verify the names of the two medicinal plants Mr. Dan was referring to.
Its not just in Ghana, but in Africa as a whole don't know the value of farming. We waste so much money importing food, yet we have EVERYTHING WE NEED TO FEED OURSELVES! But we are too blind and brainwashed to see the MASSIVE opportunities in Agriculture. As you know, we have been DAMAGED with the colonial legacy of western education, which teaches us to go to school and work for someone else. That's why we African chase degrees and cannot be productive without a job...or think outside the box.. Just look at how we view farming as a poor man's venture, because we don't realize that with technology...we can accelerate the process of farming....and create thousands of millionaires and millions of employment. Imagine, Africa is so blessed that right now, we CONTROL 40% OF THE ARABLE LAND IN THE WORLD. That is 40% of the whole planet that is available for farming is in Africa. Yet we don't know how to CAPITALIZE on it. Even Aliko Dangote, who is the richest blackman in the world, from Nigeria had this to say, “Agriculture, agriculture, agriculture. Africa will become the food basket of the world.” He went on to say that, Africa has the potential to generate over $1 trillion per year in revenues. That is $1 trillion per year that can be flowing into Africa, if we just wake up. And he said he had no idea, that there was SO MUCH MONEY in farming. And he said if he had to start all over again, he would start off with agriculture. That is the advice coming from a billionaire who is worth over $9 billion. If someone like him can see the potential in farming, why can't everyone else see it? So, plaese pay attention, and go forward with your fish farming. THERE'S HUGE DEMAND FOR IT, because we cannot do without food. It is my hope that we Africans can wake up to see the green gold, that is right in front of us. I intend to make sure l grab my own share.
Wow... Thanks for opening our eyes to the possibilities, Dentaa. You have done it again! Greenhouse farming is definitely something to consider seriously. Oh, and Dentaa, where do you buy your gorgeous jewellery? Couldn't stop admiring the earrings and spirally arm band. Where can I get these, please?
Here's a tip from a nobody gardener. 🍅 When you see flowers, just thump the main stem of the tomato plant. You could also shake the trellis thread. The flower will self pollinate. That's it. No spray or electronic toothbrush needed. 😊
I will subscribe for this very informative agriculture background. I love agriculture and Mr Dan i will love to meet you some day and start this agriculture investment and part take myself. Thank you and God bless Ghana
Thanks for this wonderful video. I learned so much from this one video. I am process of starting greenhouse farming in Liberia in November and you have sealed my projects. I think I would like to visit this farm to learn more.
This is an awesome incentive. ✨️. This deserves a Part I like you did with REIGN RUM to answer questions like other challenges to expect like pest control, other costs associated with the investment like seedlings 🌱 etc. Thank you so much as always for highlighting the tremendous innovative endeavors Ghanaians are involved in on the ground.
