Also typo/misspoke - FXAIX is the symbol for the Fidelity 500 Index Fund
Investing in the S&P 500 and the total stock market is double dipping into the SP500 since the total stock market fund already includes the S&P 500. I would do FXAIX + FSMAX or just the Total Stock Market fund.
All index funds are low expense but Fidelity has some no expense (zero) index funds that should be mentioned. A large Cap. index fund that approximates the S&P 500 (FNILX) as well as extended market (FZIPX), total market (FZROX) and international (FZILX) index funds. All with 0.0% expense ratios.
What do you consider a low expense fee?
Your locked into fidelity for the remainder of the life of those zero index funds. You can’t transfer them to a different broker if needed in the future.
@@brkbtjunkie low expense in this case means zero expense/fees on these funds.
And now?...... what is the answer... with market down
@@ca6360 dollar cost averaging, spend the same amount every month and don't sweat volatility.
Fidelity Select Health Care Portfolio fund has had a great run. I prefer the Fidelity Healthcare ETF since the fees are lower, but the healthcare fund has had an impressive run since it's inception in 1981.
Thanks for all the important information, it would help your viewers if you mentioned, what the fee’s are to the funds your Recomended .
Nice one! Do you have a video of your portfolio breakdown?
thank you so much !
You have the symbol wrong, it’s FXAIX
yep you’re right 🤦♀️ will add that to the pinned comment so others see
👌🏽
May I hold VOO ETF for the long-term, without investing any more into it? Once I reach my dollar cost average dollar amount?
This was so insightful. Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
Does it matter if you use the fidelity ETF or the vanguard equivalent if the ETF tracks the same index?
Not really - depending on what you’re looking at, some of them may have slightly different expense ratios, but they’re often pretty similar
@@Arvabelle thank you!
Expenses are the only part that you can control.
A good start to fidelity funds but compare expense ratios with the zero (no fee) funds. Good info. Thanks.
I only have 1 index FSKAX I've been wondering if I should add to it 🤔
Great break down! Thank you!
Good video
keep it up
Hey, I love your energy and your knowledge and I will be listening to all your videos. Thank you thank you.!👍👏👏👏
Can’t go wrong with index funds and ETFs! Great breakdown 🙌🏻
Thank you!
Love this guy I follow you on tik tok lol!
@@sylvia.w.a.r.e.9680 Ahah ayyy thank you 🙏🏻
I live in Hong Kong and Fidelity International here , do not do index funds , only mutual funds. Management fees minimum 1% up.. terrible !
Vanguard has moved out of Hong Kong also .
Please, I am a foreigner and do not live in USA what would be the best account type .... Can I apply for Roth IRS.
Roth IRA you cannot have
We talking index funds or mutual funds? Can't be using it interchangeably
don't think you understand that mutual funds can track indexes which are passively managed versus actively manage mutual funds. FXAIX is an S&P500 Index Mutual fund
Hello Miss.Arvabella,long time no see
FSPTX is a really good one.
Fidelity is becoming the new Vanguard, enough said.
Awesome 😊
Thanks!

Vanguard has mutual funds also
I purchased fidelity funds for 13.886 usdt how do I get a refund because I made the wrong purchase
You would have to sell it
Is Fselx good?
Yes
Correction: it's FXAIX not FXIAX. Fidelity has no FXIAX mutual fund.
Good video! The only weird part was talking about Vanguuard in a Fidelity video. Let Fidelity have their time to shine. We can give Vanguard a break for 5 minutes.
i think that was just cause the book she’s getting her info from is the founder of vanguard
You are using mutual fund term but showing index funds. I am confused?
Mutual Funds can track indexes which are passively managed versus actively manage mutual funds. FXAIX is an S&P500 Index Mutual fund, FSKAX is another example of an Index Mutual Fund
All index funds are mutual funds. Not all mutual funds are index funds. As an additional caveat; Index ETFs are not index funds but rather index ETFs. All semantics.
@@dkaik All index funds are not mutual funds. SPY, IWM, and QQQ are index funds that are ETFs.
Those freedom funds are simple to use but come with higher fees. Just somethings to consider.
True!
Fidelity freedom index fund fee is 0.12% which is pretty low.
jesus christ how many index funds and ETFs are out there!!!
A lot haha
Thousands
Think of a number and put 19 0000000000000 on it 🤣 with a mask on.
👍 👍

Stay away from anything non US, fixed income, and target dated if you have a pulse
I have 99% funny money, and 1% index fund.
Compare all those Fxxxx funds against FBGRX and FOCPX and you'll discover they're a distant 3rd or 4th against these two. ;)
With an incredibly higher expense ratio. FSPGX is 0.035% vs FBGRX is 0.79%. Some people want to keep costs as low as possible and are willing to sacrifice 3-6% growth. Especially if the cheaper large cap growth fund is beating the S&P 500 by 6% per year over the past 3 years.
Pricey expense ratios on those 2
@@akin242002 I see you everywhere Mr. Berry with good insights...thank you
Dave Ramsey believes in growth
I have fbgrx ,focpx big returns
Focpx cheap per share
@@bradschmittling8118 FSPGX is an excellent fund
FXAIX it is! 100%
Can I ask u a quick question? I have $1300 cash settled in my fidelity and I bought a stock "abc" for $1000 on Friday morning. Can I sell it immediately on Monday and not violating good faith rule or free ride violation or any rule on fidelity? Do I violate t+2 rule if I sold my stock on monday and don't buy any stocks for the next 3 days? I heard that if I bought my stock with my cash settled available on the spot, I can sell my stock "abc" the next day and I don't have to follow t+2 day if I don't buy any stocks after 3 days once I sell my stock "abc" on Monday? The t+2 rule only applies to buyer who don't have exactly cash settles in their account when they buy a stock? I did not violate free ride violation rule also because I had $1500 in my cash account to settle for this stock on Friday, right?
Call fidelity for free and ask. Don’t rely on strangers from the internet😂
