Good video. The way I see it, there are two pins that have 12 volts connected to them. 85 pin is connected to 12 volt , through a switch. plus pin 87 is connected to 12 volts. I don't understand why two power sources. could you explain this???

how do you know if the switched 12v will have enough to power the lights?

roger mathers you can test the load using an amp meter or look at your load specs most will tell you how much current is being pulled.

Hi question, I just sub’d and hit that 👍, and also the 🛎 to get notifications!
My 2017 Accord LX(Lowest Model) so I don’t have the Led Strip DRL, However, I do have the strip on the headlight.
It just doesn’t have the socket behind the Headlight, to screw in a LED Bulb, to project the acrylic led Strip like the Ex/Sport Models.
It has a Low beam halogen projector, and halogen high beam / DRL.
Is it possible to run the power going to the Factory high beam/ DRL function to a 5-Pin Relay and direct the power to a led bulb for the strip?
Then run another set of wires to a connector and run it back to the high beam.
So if I ever do need the high beam, I’ll still have that function?
The relay is like opening and closing doors? To direct and move the power around correct?

Here's my dilemma...the fogs on my 2014 Kia are totally useless and illumination is poor. Hardly noticeable with the headlights. The manual says to use sparingly as they use too much power thus shortening battery life and I'd hate not using them at all. Is there a way to use them as drl's without them using up so much power?

Hi, question. I have a 12 volt, 210 watts led light bar, I would like to use a 40 amp 4 pin relay with a 20 amp fuse and a 20 amp illuminated rocker switch. Would my set up work? Thanks.

Basement31 should 210w / 12 is 17.5 amps. I'd go with components that support 25 amps or more and you should be fine

    Wrong,Wrong,WrrrrooonnG!!!!
You have an error in your numbers,!!!! There is 87-87a- and then at the Bottom,!! 30 BUT YOU HAVE THE BOTTOM number 80"!!! There is No number ( 80 )!!! On any car relay.!!!! What are you Smoking- dude,?? It must be better than mine.!! LOL Cause I saw it right off.!!

Thats correct. 80 is not an automotive switching relay pin, that would be pin 30.
