I was prescribed statins this week after spending a week in the hospital after having myocarditis. I am aware of the corruption in the medical industry though, so I’ll be steering well clear. ❤️🩹
Thank you for your video. I have just been told today that I have to take statins, and even though my GP explained everything, I was still sceptical. After watching this video, I feel a little easier regarding the side effects.
Thank you for this really clear video. I’ve just been recommended statins by my GP and there’s so much conflicting opinions online about them. This helped.
I enjoyed your talk about statins. Will you do a talk about pulse pressure please? I'm particularly interested in this subject as I've been taking Clopidogrel for about 8 weeks while undergoing investigations. Over the past couple of weeks my diastolic pressure has increased thus causing my pulse pressure to be narrow ranging from 26-32. I would be interested in any articles you could point me to thank you.
Thank you for the suggestion. For an easy to ready article the Mayo-clinic has published www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/high-blood-pressure/expert-answers/pulse-pressure/faq-20058189 If you prefer a more scientific paper, have a read of this heart.bmj.com/content/85/5/484 It is 20 years since publication but a relatively short review article that goes into the details of pulse pressure. Hope it helps 🙂
Thank you for this information. There are differing opinions among my doctors about the potential cognitive/dementia side effects of taking statins long term. Are there any recent articles or studies that you are aware of that shed more light on this element. I am having a hard time finding info online. Thank you!

Back in the early 70’s my dad’s doctor was stumped. Back then they didn’t know that there was a good cholesterol and a bad cholesterol. Back then they just thought cholesterol was cholesterol. 83 he went in for a triple bypass. The surgeon screwed up and place the bypass after the blockage instead of before the blockage. After the back two chambers died of his heart, from not getting any blood supply to them, I lost my dad in November 13 1988. I have a ruptured brain aneurysm and stroke in October of 20 13. That’s when I was put on statins as a daily medication.
I have on statins for years, they have increased my blood sugar levels, untill i have become prediabetec, cardiologist wont give me an alternative to statins, so it looks like i will eventually become diabetic
Step 1: Go carnivore. Step 2: Get off statins. Step 3: Show your doctor how your blood tests have improved dramatically. Step 4: Explain to him that increasing your LDL (so called “bad”) cholesterol, will actually increase your life expectancy. 🙏🏼❤️🩹
My heart is perfectly normal and above average actually. Unfortunately, there have been strokes and plaque buildup in my family so that’s my next test. I am very very healthy. I don’t want to take statins and I’m pretty young actually 60. Are these statins over prescribed?
Dishing them out like smarties i have done my research and listened to many doctors who have said they do nothing whatsoever for cholesterol and do more harm than good.
Do you know someone who takes a statin?
No i don't know doctor
Yes, me
