@@CCulh I would not even watch next Mortal Kombat if it's still a sequel to this crap reboot. It's a bad ground for sequel, sequel can't cancel stupid plot and unsuitable actors of this 1st reboot movie so its going to be shit no matter how much they try to improve. The only hope is yet another reboot by someone who is big fan of original 1995 movie and want to shoot remake like it's still 1995 and even with music from it.
He'll be in the next movie. Mk 95 was better than the reboot but the 2021 was still better than most vid game movies. But still 95 mk is still the best.
The MK Live Action Movies where not all that bad i found them very entertaining to be honest. Did they have Flaws yes but we all do and everything dose no need to hate the whole thing because of its Flaws. Respect and keep up the epic work.
Wow I didn’t know they had a third installment in the works after annihilation, but I must say I loved the first mortal Kombat and annihilation as well, was it cheesy? Yeah of course but I still loved it
You and me both I love annihilation despite it's flaws it's still a favorite I watch both movies every year and I would of loved if devastation was made...but it is what it is.
They did in fact the ENDING of the 2nd film before the end Credits showed a Chinese actor FULLY Dressed up as Quan Chi from the 4th MK game but it never got made into a 3rd movie back in 1998.
Whoever make any Mortal Kombat movie should always use music from 1st movie and not some god damn modern remixes but originals from 1995 or at worse case remixes made up to 1999, and I mean both licensed music and original written for MK1. This music is the essence of movie and half of its success, without this techno , break beat and industrial music no MK movie will ever be as good!!! Also Mk2 was mostly shit, but its music was still good, so it can be reused too. Some extra tracks of 1994-1999 era in same style and tone may be used as well, something from old prodigy, kfmdm, immortals, orbital etc. Oh old tv series music also was cool.
Or they should at least contact some of the people who had their success with this kind of music during the '90's. There has been a revival of certain genres of that time period, and those genres aren't dead at all right now. So, there are oppertunities with legends involved. If they ask producers like those from the successful Belgian (as well as German and Dutch) Euro Dance acts to come up with something for a soundtrack, that would be the way to go. However, I doubt if it fits the reboot movie style very well. It did with the more cheesy look of the two original movies. Even if the second movie wasn't very good, the lack of all that gore made the music fit better with it. Mortal Kombat: Conquest has been another reasonably good example for such a combination, allthough I personally didn't like every aspect of how the characters behaved (For example, characters like Raiden and Shang Tsung were very different and not nearly as good as their equivalents from the first movie). The best part of the series was probably the combination of the similar looking fighting scenes, compared to the movies, and the music during those scenes in the background, which was sometimes similar as well. And another flaw the series might have had is the stories. I was expecting a series with episodes following up each other, but it was quite fiddly and ambiguous at times. I still liked it, though. It's the cheesiness from that style of movie making that works best with the music from the original movies, I think. I'd probably choose much more metal related music or gothic or something like that for a movie with an R-rating.
Ok so, unpopular opinion. The remake was just mediocre. The opening scene was exceptional, but after that it basically nose dives lol. It's like a better version of Annihilation, and that's not really a compliment. The fights was mediocre, the special effects was mediocre, the acting was bland to mediocre. I think the only person who showed any real acting depth was the guy that played Kano. Sonya and Jax was ok, Lewis Tan did a decent job with what he was given, but Cole was clearly a character that was shoehorned in (according to the script writer it was mandated by the studio 🙄😒🤦🏾♂️). I also didn't like how they re-written the lore. Especially regarding fighters getting their powers. The chemistry between the actors in the original film is much better. And the fight scenes in the original is also miles better. I'm not lying there's not a SINGLE fight scene in this movie that holds up to that original Scorpion & Johnny Cage fight from 1995. After all of the bad ass martial arts films we got over the past 20+ years since the original film, this movie doesn't even hold a candle to ANY OF THEM!!! 😔😕
Yeah man I completely agree the remake was a total shitstorm it had a solid start if only that was the rest of the movie but it wasn't they screwed the pooch and in all honesty I love annihilation more at least they followed the story better then whatever the hell the reboot was trying to do.
When it comes to MK, I am a sucker for the original 1995 film. I didn't mind the 2021 adaption, and as for Annihilation, I think it needed to be longer and explore it's characters a bit further. They just tried to cram a whole roster into one film and that can't be done unless you have enough character building for all your characters. The film also just seems rushed. Thinking about Devastation, why wouldn't Bridgette Wislon return to play Sonya Blade? She fit that role perfectly. The TV series, Conquest had a potential to be really good, but after it was canceled by the group, the second half of the story couldn't be told. The series ended on a cliffhanger with all the characters (Except for Raiden & Shao Kahn and a couple of his thugs) dead. Raiden was a prisoner and it looked like Shao Kahn had won the battle. Season 2 would have started with The Elder Gods reviving the characters and the adventures would continue as usual until Kung Lao faced Goro.
It would be incredible to see the Dragon Onaga and Shinnok in this universe with the adaptation of the 3 and 4 game A shame it never happened... This franchise isn't that bad and I enjoyed it despite the CGI of the time, which is understandable at the time. There could well be one more film nowadays and this film would come out to close the saga 🥺🤧 Like and Bye!
The first one was good. And annihilation was a bit cheesy, (but still a cult classic) like all comic/superhero/videogame adaptions to the big screen were back then. I'm talking batman movie series and super Mario movie. Teenager mutant ninja turtles etc. But they were all loved. Being a kid in the 80's and a teen in the 90's was a blessing. We went outside and played neighborhood games of football and kick the can, chase, hide and seek. Etc xman the animated series along with spidey batman and superman. Silver surfer, conan gi joe. Great years. Alot of cheesiness but its what we had and we loved them. The new mortal kombat is pretty badass it's kinda a prequel to the actual tournament and I thought it was well done.
STILL bet it would of been better then the crap that they DID release after the wonderful 95 cheesy loved gem. "Release your Animality"........ ughhhh it was awful
Reboot trash as hell. Shouldn’t Been kalled “fatality” Probably woulda Did sum different to tha mind. Bell honestly dnt like when they redo classics like, kome up wit sum new shyt man!!!
The first mortal Kombat movie seem more like lightning in a bottle. The 2021 movie was pretty good as well. Annihilation and the live-action TV series were a disappointment.
The 1995 one is still the best yet

It just bugs me that the reboot did not have Johnny Cage.
They will most likely have him in the next one
Mortal Kombat > Mortal Kombat Reboot

Yeah it's really lame how they shoehorned Cole. Felt like a lame excuse to avoid Johnny Cage.
Not an unpopular take at all. MK 2021 was GARBAGE.
@@haolekoa737 It has its defenders, for some reason.

HELL NO.

Great job! Thank you for making this. "Superb" -Shao Kahn
So it would have basically been deadly alliance

I watch the 1st & 2nd movie on opening weekend. I thought the new movie had good moments. I would have watched MKD
I did a live interview with mink that is on my channel, going over more details about the MK3 movie.
The original Mortal Kombat movie is far superior to the reboot in my opinion 🎥🎮
Yes it was better than the first
Tbh Action wise yes plot Noo. Smfh 1995 Movie any day imo.
Cole is an armadillo? Why? Just had to slip some stupid in there
Thanks for your likes and comments
Got a prize for you 🎁🎁Dm🔝🔝

No and no

No it’s not better than 1st MK but it was good
the 2021 MORTAL KOMBAT KICKED ASS 🔥🔥
The 2021 film was utter trash. It cant touch the 1995 film.
Mortal Kombat movies have a tendency to have extremly cheesy lines and corny acting
And excessive cringe
reboot better
The first Mortal Kombat movie those other 2 sequels don't exist to me
