★ Additional Information:
• In today's guide, I'll be utilizing my CECHK01 (fat model) PS3 that is flashed to 4.89 HFW (Hybrid Firmware) note for this process you can use ANY model PS3. This means Fat, Slim, SuperSlim model PS3's from any region can use this exploit!
• As of 5/21/2022 4.89 is the latest firmware for the PS3 & that if a new firmware is pushed by Sony make sure to stay on the lowest firmware as at any time Sony can patch any exploits for the PS3.
• Being on HEN/HFW is not comparable to CFW (Custom Firmware) such as Rebug, Ferrox, Habib, etc, as in some regards HEN is limited when running some apps.
• HEN allows most homebrew applications to run, however, things such as debug apps/games will not run with HEN.
• While being on HEN it is important to NOT ENABLE FSM (Factory Service Mode) or install CCAPI (Console Control API) as this will BRICK and or cause damage to your console. This warning has been issued by the PS3Xploit team.

At 3:30 in video, what do you mean when you say "4.88 firmware or lower"? How would I enable Factory Service Mode? I want to know this so I could AVOID going there by accident! It feels silly to ask this as well, but what are some tips on how to AVOID accidentally installing Console Control API?

I've just henned my Superslim, after my second attempt (thanks SONY!).
I've added multiman, webman, and the new Irisman 4.90 to dump my ps3 ISOs. I've installed 20+ games most of them using the fat32 method. Feeling liberated right now! Exciting times awaits. 😄 thanks for the content.

hey ! I'm on cfw 4.88 evil at,is there any 4.89 version released? if I try to log into PSN it tells me to download the update,otherwise I can't login and use PSN.Therefore I can't activate my PS3 and play downloaded games.Is there any guide to fix this somehow?
Question. I have a ps3 that can downgrade to 2.7 (slim). I wanted to jailbreak it but I was dumb and forgot you can’t just downgrade super easily so I updated to 4.89 OFW. I tried to install evilnat over the ofw but it didn’t work, so I went ahead and installed hfw onto my ps3. I was wondering how I could install evilnat onto my ps3. I don’t have an e3 flasher anymore so is there any other way?
I've now enabled Hen multiple times, installed Webman, and made my second video game copy so far with Multiman, and I plan on installing the other three things within Negato's essential pack as soon as I solve this issue.
This didn't happen on my most recent time, but not so long ago, when Hen was being enabled, before I got the message that would say something like "Welcome to Hen" and "Webman enabled" and when the big giant Hen logo and mouse cursor were being shown, my PS3 superslim froze. I tried to put it in safe mode, but pressing down on power button on the console didn't do anything, so I ended up pulling the power cable and plugging it back in. (Fortunately the save files and stuff is backed up.) Then I pressed controller on button, but it didn't turn on until I pressed the console power button once right afterwards. Then it booted up with that usual ps3 theme music right and right afterwards, as expected, took me to screen saying that Ps3 had not been properly turned off and needs to restore file system. Right after the file system was restored, I was back to the good old Ps3 system with Hen installed but unenabled. When I tried to enable Hen on the very next attempt, I went through the exact same process, and my Ps3 was safe and sound once again with Hen installed and unenabled. On the very next attempt, I decided to move cursor around a little instead of leaving it alone like I did in the previous two attempts, and then Hen finally worked! Ever since I've moved cursor around a little on next Hen attempts, it worked just fine.
When enabling Hen, what would cause it to freeze when you see big fat giant logo and cursor before it gets to "Welcome to Hen" and make me not even be able to put it in safe mode? What should I do when my Ps3 superslim freezes in that instance? If it freezes whenever I got Hen enabled or not any other point of when I'm using the Ps3 system, what should I do? Was pulling the power plug the only option? How can I avoid this instance again? Does moving cursor when Hen is being enabled do anything? What else do I need to know?

so i did update to 4.89 ofw. ive installed hen. the logo loads up when i boot up the system. ive installed multiman, webman, console control, psn patch, rebug tool, iris man, sen enabler, control fan utility and xmb mod manager. mmcm loads up but it doen not allow me to copy games to hdd via disc or usb. i get a vibration in the controller when i try to cut or copy and nothing follows. xmb mod manager freezes the system completely to to the point where i actually have to unplug the power cable. (im on a slim, it does not have a power switch in the back) ive installed hen on a previous slim and it worked fine. the only differences between the two installs was the first one was pre 4.89 and it was us region. this attempt is on 4.89 and its a japanese region slim. any help or insight would be much appreciated. sorry for the novel.

I finally installed Multi Man and even copied a Ps3 Disc game of mine to the PS3 hard drive for the first time ever!!! However, as I understand, until I install Webman, I have to go to Enable Hen and then go to Multiman every time to play the game. It's no big deal of course, but I'm ready to install Webman next so I can skip this hassle and also open my ps3 to many more adventures! My question is should I uninstal/delete multiman and then install Webman or could I just go straight to installing Webman from Nagato's pack? What order should I install the stuff from Nagato's essential pack?

Please help. Webman keeps rebooting my ps3. When I open it the screen goes black, then the ps3 reboots. Multiman opens, and I see my games from my USB, however, when I try to open a game, it doesn't open and reboots the PS3. Help, please and thank you.

I have now installed all five items within the essential pack! After watching some of Ultimate PS3 4.87 HFW/HEN Installation/Update Guide! + Homebrew, Games, & Tips. (For Beginners) ua-cam.com/video/VQFHC3aB9GU/v-deo.html, and now that I have these five essential items on the PS3, I have a few questions about them:
When do I need to use PSN patch to be spoofing my console ID and stuff if I have Hen enabled on Ps3 super slim?
If prep NTFS can read the NTFS drive, that means that I wouldn't need to format the drive to Fat32 to play games off of it like I had to when getting the Hybrid firmware and the 5 essential items onto Ps3, right? Is it possible to play games off a Fat32 by using prep NTFS? I'm pretty sure that if I have a Fat32 drive in official Firmware console, I could just yank it out without ejecting it and it would be safe and sound cuz it's not like a windows computer that may be writing memory or something. If I have an NTFS drive in Ps3 as long as I'm not running a game off the drive, would I have to eject the drive before pulling it out? If I was running a game using prep NTFS, what would happen if I pulled the USB cable out while playing? (Not that I ever plan on doing this, but I ask in case USB cable was loose or something) How do I safely pull out a Fat32 drive, NTFS drive, or any other drive when I have HEN enabled?
What else do I need to know?

When I go to System Settings and then go to System Information, under system software, my PS3 Superslim says Version 4.89, and I have never downloaded any CFW or HFW or any other software that I know of than what the system came with (It was lightly used when I bought it, so the previous owner could've done something with it, but I don't think he did). Am I able to install 4.89.1 HFW/HEN to Version 4.89?

Yes, you are able to install 4.89 HFW over 4.89 official firmware.
I used an external hard drive that is formated to fat32 to back up game saves to it. For the boot selection, it is currently under Disk or ISO image (please select), the partition is MBR, and the Target System is BIOS (or UFEI-CSM). Do I have to have the boot selection to be Non-bootable? Do I have to do anything else to the external hard drive before transfering the HFW Pup file to it?
Since you are already on FAT32, see if your USB drive is readable on your PS3. For instance, see if you can transfer save-data to your external HDD. If so you should be able to transfer the HFW pup file to your PS3.
@@NagatosRevenge I know that it can be read by the PS3 because I copied saved game files to it, transferred a game save file to my PS3, and ran the backup utility all with this same external hard drive. The saved game files were automatically saved in a folder called SAVEDATA inside the automatically created PS3 folder. The backup stuff was automatically saved to another folder ()which I can't remember the name) that is now alongside to SAVEDATA folder. When I create UPDATE folder, that can be created next to those two folders, right? What else do I need to know?
You should be good to go then. All you need to do is to create the folder directory as “PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP”

Thanks for the great info, the problem I keep having is that he shows that it installed but the icon doesn't show up. I restarted the console and the hen icon is there as it boots but it's not under the game icon to enable it. I have tried with the same results 20 times or more. Thanks for any ideas.

What info does the authentication information, cache, and cookies of PS3 internet browser hold? How can I view them? How important are they to preserve before deleting them? Would the backup utility save the authentication info, cache and cookies? What else can I do to save them?
To be honest, things like cookies, cache & authentication information will only handle web server data that has been stored on your clients HDD. In order to have a stable environment for the PS3Xploit HEN payload page, it is highly recommended to reset all options.

HEN is a tethered jailbreak meaning at every time at boot, you will need to "re-jailbreak" the console with the HEN Payload. In regards, to what games you can play on HEN I recommend checking out some of my PS3 Modding Playlist guides specifically for HEN here:

You need to update to the newest hen to update your system. Than you will be able to acess psn to make an account.
If I update to latest hen will I be able jailbreak it and play all the games downloaded from internet , not the free games on playstore

You cant jailbreak your ps3 as its on version 4.46. You need to be on version 3.55 or under to jailbreak and need a fat ps3 or a specific slim ps3 to do it.
Hen is the other option that most use as it easy to do and simple to opperate.
Think of hen as a half jailbreak that all ps3's can do.

For me it does the unofficial version on 4.89
@@kamalbirda Its getting ridiculous. I seen others get around the black screen by using a app named install package files and loading multiman though it instead of going though multiman directly.
