★ Additional Information:
• In today's guide, I'll be utilizing my CECHK01 (fat model) PS3 that is flashed to 4.86 HFW (Hybrid Firmware) note for this process you can use ANY model PS3. This means Fat, Slim, SuperSlim model PS3's from any region can use this exploit!
• As of 12/29/2020 4.87 is the latest firmware for the PS3 & that if a new firmware is pushed by Sony make sure to stay on the lowest firmware as at any time Sony can patch any exploits for the PS3.
• Being on HEN/HFW is not comparable to CFW (Custom Firmware) such as Rebug, Ferrox, Habib, etc, as in some regards HEN is limited when running some apps.
• HEN allows most homebrew applications to run, however, things such as debug apps/games will not run with HEN.
• While being on HEN it is important to NOT ENABLE FSM (Factory Service Mode) or install CCAPI (Console Control API) as this will BRICK and or cause damage to your console. This warning has been issued from the PS3Xploit team.

Well this did helped a lot to me on how to install games that comes in folder and iso... PKG was kinda easy, and I saw it on other tutorial, but not many talked about folder based games and ISO using HEN... Kudos for you bruh. Definitely subbing.

At 39:58 into video, you’re saying not to spoof id if you’re on Hen under HFW, right? Why shouldn’t I? What if I’m modding in multiplayer gaming to give myself unfair advantage (for example using aim assist and/or lower recoil in first person shooter games, going up the ranks in games with the click of a button, etc)?
Can you use ISO versions on a ps3 with the optical drive not working? I been looking into ps3s more into the doesnt read discs ones because there cheaper and i would think it wouldnt be needed.
Ive had multiple jailbroken ps3s but havent gotten one without a working optical drive but i have one coming in soon. I guess if i dont get a reply by then ill make a follow-up stating it does work. I would assume it does.
Can you also update games through regular updating? I couldve sworn you used to be able to but now they make it seem like you cant.

Pre NTFS drives pkg install compulsory with webman ,or should I prefer multiman only for Pre NTFS drives for gaming
i already have hen, as well as multiman, for the others do i just put the files where multiman is on the usb and update via storage media again?

Howdy Nagato I am having an issue with installing HFW
I have a super slim with 4.87 ofw installed, followed this guide to install hfw but had to install it in recovery mode and it also cuts out after 25%... Console isn't bricked as it boots just fine after... Any ideas?

So my hen is a little choppy, my "install and manage files" doesn't have "USB storage" so idek what i do. I'm gonna try to mess w it a little. Might just need a new installer or something but idk where to find those and how to actually update the system smh
Quick question, what if I install some games from the Internet to my PS3 and I want to install back to Sony's 4.87 update, will I keep those games that I downloaded or will they just disappear?
No you can’t play them. If you install Sony’s OFW 4.87 update to the console, those games that you pirated will not start for you because you won’t be able to enable HEN
I have an issue. Whenever I hit Enable HEN it opens up to the logo and then a few seconds later it would say welcome to ps3hen then say "Could not resolve host" and then none of the things would install. Can someone help?

Okay now this is my biggest question I've been asking for the longest I go straight ahead I try to update system but they're telling me that it's a different way to update it so when I went to go ahead and try to update system it wouldn't let me so now when I go ahead and try to actually update it it won't let me update so I'm questioning how do I update the system without it actually going over what I need

I downloaded some PS1 games missing the RAP files. I downloaded the RAP files. Made the exdata folder. Copied and pasted RAP files into exdata folder. I go into PSN patch. Hit L1 then start. Exit out. And still don't work. Tells me to go the PS store. Why is that? Everything else works fine.

Hey just a simple question. I read everywhere that Psn patch is not to be used for PS3 hen and it’s only for CFW and if it gets used on PS3 hen it could chases soft brick or a ban. Even on the brewlogy website description it does say that psn patch is for CFW. So can you explain that?
That is true. PSN patch for going online is for only CFW.

Just upgraded my PS3 HDD this holliday, had trouble to find some programs back. Also had to search info on where to put my games and stuff. I use my PS3 on a daily base with Movian (It like Kodi and can be found on Movian.tv for a viarity of OS's) and if you have movies/music/downloadedmedia this is a great program with plugins to watch and listening content with. But you probely already knew that ;)

Nagato i need your help as well as many others so i have seen in the comments in several vids on youtube!! i have a ps3 super slim and the OFW is on 4.87. So i tried doing the HFW update, followed all the steps with the ps3 folder and the updat.pup file etc exactly as is bescribed, and my usb stick is on fat32 mbr. the thing is this!: everytime i try to update during system update by chosing usb it doesnt recgnize the usb, BUT when i go to music or pictures folder in the menu screen of the ps3 it DOES recognize it... so i have tried to do this via some otherway, so i tried to update it via safemode.. apparently it does recognize the usb stick because after following the steps it shows the HFW during the steps to update it. BUT!! when its all done and the ps3 reboots, i go to system info and i see that the firmware is still on 4.87! im absolutely lost... i tried different usb sticks made sure they were all MBR and none of them is recognised durinmg system update via usb. Can you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP?!?!
Make sure that your folder structure: PS3 > UPDATE > PS3UPDAT.PUP for starters, plus when you on HFW it'll still say 4.87. Make sure as well, that you run the HEN exploit via the PS3 web browser!

@@MrJoneSz Yeah it'll just say on 4.87 HFW. If you go to my timestamp at 25:48 in the video it'll show that in System Information that the "System Software" version is 4.87.

Make sure you on 4.88 HFW, and to clear your web browser cache data. As well restarting your PS3 can help aid in getting HEN to install properly
