- This is the final step in completing the new pattern for an Alpaca Sculpture. If you'd like to make a sculpture of your own using my pattern you can find it here: www.ultimatepapermache.com/al...
All of the videos for this project can be found on that page, too.
This pattern was based on an alpaca sculpture that I made a few months ago. You can find the first video in that series here: • Sculpt an Alpaca with ...
That pattern is slightly different from the original. I like the new neck a lot better, and I like the eyes better, too. If you look at them both, let me know what you think of the changes I made.
You can find patterns for all of the masks and sculptures behind me in the videos, and many more, here: www.ultimatepapermache.com/pa... - Навчання та стиль
You are so talented! Thank you for giving all of us the knowledge to do this ourselves. Because of you and your teaching and videos I was able to create a giant tree in my living room from the paper machete recipe that wows everyone that sees it! Bless you.
She looks SOoo pretty! Beautifully done!!
Thanks! 😊
A Stunning alpaca here!, so adorable, nice to see you painting it and putting the eye lashes on, Youa are so gifted, many regards :)
Thank you so much 😀
I love all your works but, this my dear is perfection!
Thank you so much!
Beautiful. The eyelashes are great actually
Thanks - I'm glad you like them. I wish I could have found decent white ones, but these do look nice.
That looks very good!
I used to make Paper Mache when I was little! :)
Me too! I only started up again about 13 years ago. The only thing I can remember making from grade school was a horse head on a stick. 😊
Thanks for the video. It always amazes me how you are able to make things look so life like. What a great job. Since it is "Groundhog's Day", can you make a groundhog with no shadow????? I would have never thought of putting on eyelashes. There must be a scientist in you because you are not afraid to try new things. If I had half of you talent, I would be doing much better. Great job on the video as well.
Thanks, Alan! A groundhog would be fun! Too bad I forgot about it, because that would have been a perfect project. Maybe next year. 😊
Hi! So, I’m not ready to make a whole sculpture yet. For right now I just want to paint some cat statues I have like a Bengal (my little girl just passed away so I’m sad, and art helps) Anyways, I have a hard time painting things brown/ mixing colors to make things look natural-ha. I’m going to check out more of your videos, thank you for sharing your work ❤ Char
Oh the boss lady will love to see this
Are you going to make one for her birthday? 😊
❤❤❤❤❤
Jonni, Stan Winston School of Character Arts is periodically doing open for all creature design competitions on their forum. I'm sending in some stuff for the March 4th deadline. You might want to consider checking it out and entering, your work is always so beautiful and you are so incredibly talented!
I think about entering every year, but never get around to it, and I don't think I'll have time this year, either. Good luck with your entry!
@@UltimatePaperMache Thank you! That's a shame about the time, but hope to see you there sometime!
I have purchased several of your lovely animal patterns, I am about to paint the eyes of the giraffe. But what doesn’t the glazing do? Is it something I need to use? Thank you for all your great videos 😍
The glazing liquid slows down the drying time, and makes the colors more transparent. For a small area, like an eye, you can just use a bit of water to thin the paint if you want it transparent, or use a naturally transparent pigment. Burnt Sienna is transparent so it lets the white of the gesso shine through. If you need a darker brown, you can add some Burnt Umber. You will lose some transparency, but the color is really lovely for dark eyes.
Jonni, I just watched your video on outdoor cement paper mache. Do you think I could cover an existing outdoor ceramic glazed pot? It is very large and Shiny. I would like to give it a stone look. What do you think? I love your approach to teaching. Thank you.
I am not an expert in outdoor sculpture, or cement. I don't know if the paper cement clay would stick to the pot, so you might want to try it on a small, inexpensive one, first. I think there would be less chance of it cracking if you use some metal mesh to reinforce the paper cement clay. If you try it, please let us know if it works!
Thank you. I will try and let you know!
