Well, I'm my case, Kaito is tied with Luka for my favorite vocaloid, Then there is Len and Rin, since the first vocaloid song I heard was Electric Angel, then is Meiko, and Miku is maybe in my top 15 favorite vocaloids, I also have a sister that hates me for it, and she ABSOLUTELY HATES KAITO AND MEIKO FOR NO REASON!!!

Yeah but Miku has a more iconic and memorable look than her. Long teal twintails, big eyes, and a memorable face. Not sauing Meiko isnt memorable, but she never got that much attention

Miku is easy enough to tune that anyone can make her sound decent with a little practice, but it takes a lot more to tune MEIKO well. But when she is, like in her cover of the Snow White Princess Is? The rarity makes the tuning that much sweeter.
It's so sad to see all the hate MEIKO receives from the vocanoobs/Mikutards. I've been to a few other MEIKO videos on youtube and she gets so much hate JUST for being shipped with KAITO! They don't even pay attention to her gorgeous voice! I personally love MEIKO's voice, and I hope all the Miku/MEIKO hate will simmer down. I now that meikos hate is dieing down because I have a Japanese pen pal who went to magical mirai 2015 (bless him, he finally got to go X) and apparently when Meiko came on singing Nostolgic everyone lost there SHIT cause they were so tired of pianoxfortexscandel, people were really into it and they were screaming her name, apparently at the end of the concert the employees also ask people what there fav part of the concert was and they put up a bar chart of all there results and apparently Meiko beat out luka,rin,Len and kaito!! She apparently got a lot of love and votes and crypton know now that ^_^ (sorry for long paragraph comment )

MEIKO was a big hit back in 2004 but ever since crypton introduced new vocaloids, MEIKO has been pushed into a corner and just gets hated.... The world in front of MEIKO has changed and she doesn't get as much love. MEIKO got us ready for KAITO, Miku, Rin, Len and Luka and now she just gets neglected....it makes me really sad!!! I love Meiko so much! I was 12 years old when I found her and she's always been my favorite. I look back at her songs a lot as an adult and smile because this character was a big light in my life growing up. I even used to dream of being as beautiful as she is when I was 12. I'm still so happy to look back at this. Good memories.
Is it just me, or does she look......nervous in this video. The song is great but while she dances, she looks nervous, maybe even scared which isn't like her character which is calm, mature, and more confident than the other vicarious like miku, or luka. I don't know, I could just be crazy. XD

Out of the Krypton Vocaloids I wish that KAITO and MEIKO had gotten more love I feel as if their voices are the most realistic and softest sounding voices when you put in the work to make them sound well. I get they’re harder to use, but their voices fit so well with so many songs it’s a shame

Miku herself is very popular and the most successful in all of Vocaloid,thus most people who are new to the fandom thought that she was the first Vocaloid. Another reason,and is the most obvious,is on her shoulder. On Miku's shoulder,there is a '01' tattoo imprinted on it,hence others can easily mistaken Miku for being the first,even though that tattoo was only to show that she is the first member of Crypton's CV series.
People who’s favourite vocaloid/cryptonloid is Miku either
1. Are 10 minutes old to the fandom
2. Are really aggressive and angry when somebody ‘insults’ Miku.
3. Just don’t like the other ones for reasons still unknown..

I love Meiko so much! I was 12 years old when I found her and she's always been my favorite. I look back at her songs a lot as an adult and smile because this character was a big light in my life growing up. I even used to dream of being as beautiful as she is when I was 12. I'm still so happy to look back at this. Good memories.

Out of the Krypton Vocaloids I wish that KAITO and MEIKO had gotten more love I feel as if their voices are the most realistic and softest sounding voices when you put in the work to make them sound well. I get they’re harder to use, but their voices fit so well with so many songs it’s a shame
They don't really have a whole lot of well received songs though. (Not to mention how hard it is to tune their vocals. So people rather use others instead of them)
