Devonte Smith breaking the most receiving yards ever in a NC game in the 1st half against OSU with 3/4 TDs is a bit more impressive. Smith’s Jr year he had 221 yards and four TDs in the first half as well. Seen quite a few that were better but this was def top10.

His running style reminds me of John Taylor, WR for the 49ers back in the 80’s. I saw him play at Candlestick as the complimentary WR to Jerry Rice. He doesn’t have blazing speed, but he’s a long strider who has another gear once the ball is in his hands.

@@spenser6353believe it or not the safety’s are supposed to be the fastest guys on defense they literally have to cover sideline to sideline they’re the last defense to stop a touchdown once the initial line of defense is broken

I don't know how Deion is going to deal with a defense that checked out like that in the second half. It wasn't just this dude getting WIDE open every time. It's that what was actual tacking in the first half, ended up where Stanford was bumping off up to 4 defenders every play. You can't coach heart. This team has all of the talent in the world. You can't make them play all out for 4 quarters. That's a mental thing, a heart thing. And they have yet to do it this season. The fact that they haven't played more than two good quarters of football in any game this season, and are still 4-3 is a testament to the potential that is there. But you can't coach heart. That's up to the players themselves to go find.

Amazing accomplishment by that young man, but I can’t help but think the colorado defensive staff failed miserably. The majority of those were simple slants with the defender playing on the outside shoulder, man to man. No adjustments at all. Crazy and criminally bad coaching.

Watching this back again, 23 for CU really did his best, (better than Hunter), when it came down to stopping Ayomanor, Can't believe all the shit his teammates and coaches were saying to him, dude can hustle and played his hardest.

Slant slant slant slant slant slant fade
When I was watching this live, I noticed something. On the catch at 1:05, watch Travis Hunter. He just quit. He flat out gave up, once the catch was made, as Ayomanor turned upfield, he didn't even bother trying to catch him. There were a couple of other instances in the game, where he did this, as well. At 2:40, it was another play, where he stood by and watched, and a couple plays before that, he tried to arm tackle Ayomanor, and he ended up causing the play to go for another 20-25 yards. That's a terrible, terrible look. Quitting on your team is inexcusable. This wasn't a matter of being tired. This was simply giving up. There's a big difference. In addition, he got out-muscled much of this game. This performance by Ayomanor really exposed the flaws in Hunter's game.
I'd like to say that I'm surprised, but this team is SO undisciplined, and it begins at the top. Deion Sanders runs this team less like a college football program and more like a party atmosphere. He's more concerned w/ looking good than playing well, and it shows in his team's performance. Between the astronomical number of penalties and poor line play, quitting on the field, and failing to hold players accountable for their actions, it creates a culture and atmosphere of unsustainability. He'll get guys to come to Boulder, but it'll be to their detriment, when they could've gone to a program that really would've developed their skillset.
We don’t know what he is dealing with, he just had his liver lacerated two weeks ago. There’s a good chance he is still feeling the effects or the pain from it may have returned from the contact in the game.
