Ryan Day is not a suitable coach for tOSU. He had C. J. Stroud -- BY FAR the best quarterback tOSU has EVER had, second place being Bobby Hoying -- and won NOTHING with him. Didn't beat Michigan with him. Didn't win a conference championship. Didn't win a CFP game after backing into a berth.
Y'all saw what C. J. Stroud is doing to NFL defenses, I assume. And Day ALSO had Marvin Harrison Jr and a host of other five-stars to go with Stroud and STILL managed to waste it all.

Day has been the head coach five years, and he has 8 losses. Harbaugh’s first five years (to make the comparison even and fair), had 18 losses (v. 8 for Day), including five straight losses to OSU. A first-five-years-of-Harbaugh video, with its 18 losses, would be over twice as long as this video about Day.

Ik it’s not in the Ryan Day Era but those losses to Purdue and Iowa in 2017-2018 were straight up unforgivable and embarrassing and made them lose any chance they had of going to the CFP both years. Ohio State is known to win big against horrible teams but loses terribly to teams who had no business winning those games 😂 soon as they face an actual good team with a heartbeat and high spirits they tend to lose in heartbreak fashion or just get run off the field (Clemson Alabama)
Don’t forget Michigan each of the last 3 years as well with the conference on the line 😂 Day is 1-6 vs top 5 opponents. Nobody does less with more than this guy.. his teams are stacked. He doesn’t know how to use them.

The common denominator here is poor defense. Count how many big plays the bucks gave up. Quite a lot.
Ohio State’s offense stalled out too in some of these games.
- They went up 16-0 against Clemson and got outscored 29-7 the rest of the game
- Their offense didn’t do shit against Michigan in the second half of both the 2021 or 2022 games.
Alabama was Alabama
Their Offense also stalled out vs Oregon.
Even without MHJ, they still had weapons against Georgia.
