I play on Xbox Series X and love this game. Just started playing recently and it’s been great. The only thing that sucks is when your team is a bunch of uncoordinated players who aren’t paying attention, don’t work together and you get rolled.
Can't get into this game anymore. It disappointed me too much. It's the last game I ever pre-purchased and taught me a lesson to never pre-purchase anything ever again. Huge mistake and it was insanely expensive.
Bro pre ordering is a scam, the reason you pre order was back in the day when stores only had a limited amount in stock. But you can download games without ever worrying about being sold out.
Your mistake was purchasing the game from EA to begin with. The stuff like the EA pass, you should never ever buy anything from them again. Rent it and dispose of it when done. Anything they produce, no matter how good you think it is, should be discarded like used tissue or toilet paper.
The game is finally what it should have been at launch, but the main thing I hate about this battle field is the specialist and maps. Specialist does not fit in Battlefield, maybe a spin off game of Battlefield, but not in the main game. Most of the Maps are terrible also, no destruction and also way too big with low amount of cover.
Played it now mid 2024, worth playing now for sure. Especially if you get it from Game Pass AND don’t play as if it’s COD - Then you’ll die over and over. Think tactical, be patient and play with friends. Superfun 🎉
BattleFront 2 is the SW game every fan ever wanted.... But they abandoned it marketing wise & content wise and now most game modes are empty. It's a shame because if this game was release in this state today with good marketing, the same game could be in the most played among the recent titles out there. Whoever is leading EA just want quick money grabs instead of actually investing in their products and do even more money on the long term... But no, some money quick is better than much more money over a few years for them it seems smh
I’m amazed people still preordered this game after the beta. I’m a huge battlefield fan but as soon as I was done with one match of 2042 in the beta I deleted it and uninstalled. Sad to see battlefield go this way after I sunk a bunch of time in BC2, BF3,4 and 1.
Great review! I'm more worried about the future of Battlefield than Halo right now, but they're very different games. The push for "big team battles" like 64 v 64 has never been a pull for me, but the size is one of the major standouts for Battlefield games. I prefer the smaller lobby games, but when Battlefield is hitting at its best, your squad fills that role, and I can focus on just the group I'm spawning on (and reviving). If you like bigger lobbies, there's also the issue of actually filling those lobbies, which very few games can sustain. I wonder how games like Battle Bit are doing on player count now that we're a few months out from their launch. Thanks for making me think about Battlefield for the first time in over a year though, and in a video that takes less than 1 match would to see if it's worth trying again!
You have filled the hole left in my life by finishing all of Mandalore Gaming's content in three weeks, thank you for that 🤣 hopefully you have a shorter turn around on video releases lol
Honestly I don’t think I want to give them another chance just on principle. There are a lot of games these days that ship horribly and eventually get better. The thing is there are other companies working hard too that are able to deliver and even if they aren’t they same type of game, I’d rather show them support than these big major companies that continue to take advantage over the years. I do appreciate the review by the way. The more I thought about it the more I realized I’ll just play Battlebit if I want a BF like experience because I think that game is pretty fun as well.
Love the game, but I only just picked it up. If it weren’t for the gluttony of riches we had with the glory era (BF3 - BF1) this would probably be my favorite shooter ever, but it feels barebones compared to past titles, even if it’s an amazingly fun time. It needs more though; naval warfare, more 64 player focused maps, more fronts, etc. Amazing time, but a sad state of affairs first a Battlefield game simultaneously.
Battlebit died off due to the devs, Lethal Company the dev updated the game once and then announced he was ditching it, and Baldur's Gate 3 has nothing to do with this.

I used to be alot into shooters as a kid. I played the old Battlefields (Vietnam being my fav), several versions of Counter Strike, the Conflict series, Medal of Honor, SOCOM, Resistance, Quake Wars, Killzone etc. Recently Ive been looking into shooters to play, from Tarkov and Arena Breakout to CoD Warzone and PUBG. I havent tried BF2042 but ive been playing BF5 since yesterday, and you know what i think? @samyb2834 I'm having fun so far in portal mode. 5 dollars, play it for an hour or two and see if you want a refund or not. Or use the five dollars for cold bottle of Dr. Pepper
I started playing it a few months ago and its a great game, i dont have other battlefields to compare it to but its such a fun game and I love futuristic stuff like this, but the half baked then move on is very annoying
I really hope they pay attention to the or customers and add a story mode in the next one. I played story more than multiplayer, and look how amazing Battlefield 1 was.
Wasn’t about the bugs. This game was DOA the moment they announced specialists & no campaign. I loved BF4 the night it released and still do. People are fed up with the soulless online-only bullshit and skins. And I’m saying this as somebody who purchased 2042 knowing the reputation it had and was willing to defend it. Compared to previous titles, it’s awful.
Just bought it with the steam summer sale about 15 days ago, and I feel like this is exactly what I needed, having a break of Apex Legends and looking for a fun, casual and engaging fps, this is my way to go For a fact not the best battlefield, but I'm having a fckn great casual experience
well i like battlefield 3 because of good story, but i am concidering getting this version of battlefield and i think i will buy it and try it on my own, i love battlefield more than other shooter games.
I feel like when my dad got this game on launch I played it with him and was very disappointed because I kept seeing people climbing walls with hovercrafts which while funny not physically possible.
EA login with in-game progression save across multiple platforms is WHAT WE NEED FOR THE FUTURE! It's literally why I'll never stop playing, I'll never lose my progress. 🔥🔥 Game is still amazing on PS4 & PS5. I've played on both. Biggest difference is speed & loading between games. (Which is great.)
I bought it 3 months ago I was avoiding it because it was horrible, till I watched a UA-cam video about the best sittings I just followed the instructions and it became my favorite game now over Call of Duty
IMO the people still playing are positive about 2042. But 90% left long time ago. It was and still is a huge flop. Its obviously way better then at launch, but still trash. Bad maps, almost no destruction, looks and feels souless and like a mobile game. I despise BFV, but even that game is more BF than BF2042 and that's insane!
I received this game free on Playstation Plus. Years after the updates and improvements. The game is great! The best part there is bots in the game. This is the first Battlefield game to have bots on conquest and breakthrough modes. I love it! Thank you EA you did us right with adding bots to the game.
Definitely agree, wait for the game to be on sale and get it. Definitely fun but not worth the full price (I preordered it even after seeing the “BETA” 😂 thinking they ironed out the flaws)
Short answer, nope! Most play modes are completely dead...unable to find players to start a match, or it's half-filled with AI. For a cross-play game, that's rather telling about real-world player numbers. The maps are overwhelmingly shit, there's no teamwor (specialists who can pick any weapons/loadout have ruined that), and it's a very underwhelming experience compared to any other BF release. Janky, half-arsed, tried to do too much and did it all badly, and I'll be glad to be rid of this version to be perfectly honest.
That's the difficulty of filling larger lobbies when the choices are either give them AI to kill while filling the game, or make people wait 5-10 minutes for a lobby to potentially never fill.
Ya the AI is a bit annoying. Cause what’s the point right? Eventually the lobbies do fill, and I guess I would rather start playing and get warmed up instead of waiting.
I love the Battlefield series and I gave 2042 so many chances. The beta, pre ordering and trying to stick with this “new” direction for the classes. After some time I gave up on the game, it never felt like a Battlefield game. It’s been about 6 months since i played last and 4 months since i deleted it off my console. I hope they make an actual Battlefield next and not continue this ridiculous trend following malarkey.
"Tried something new" It copied popular design trends without innovating them in any ways or making them work for what the series was. Titanfall tried something new. The Finals tried something new. Things like Apex or Halo 5 followed popular trends but iterated on them in new ways. Battlefield 2042 just copied things
I hopped back in recently and the bf3 and 4 grounded vibe is very real. The gunplay is snappy and smooth i get like 100+ fps on a very mid system and it doesn't have as many sht talking 12 year old sweats like cod.
I know this may be an unpopular opinion, but they should have continued with developing Hazard Zone and tied the story of Battlefield 2042 within it in some way. For example, make specific missions in Hazard Zone for every player which they can complete, but they have to not get squad wiped and have to extract for it to count as completed.
I bought it at launch for full price, I was very disappointed... I put in like 5 hours today. But I'm a Battlefield fan boy, and own the entire series on PC other than Hardline as that entry was a hardleft from the normal Battlefield.
ngl, i really enjoy the current state of 2042, its a huge improvement from the launch, give it a go definitely. I agree that the maps could be better, however if your into sci fi and futuristic games, this is up there ngl
I remember playing bf1 first night after grabbing it from GameStop on pre order. Was so much fun watching the behemoth fall down after half the lobby was shooting at it. I myself was using artillery gun hahaha idk battlefield now just feels so not battlefield. I see clips of dudes flying on a wing suit killing 80 people with one mag and just seems not even close to realistic. Bf3 I felt like I was legit in the army or something same for bf1. Bf5 is cool but I remember when they used a girl as the cover and that just rubbed me wrong and nobody cared about bf5 the campaign was lackluster except the German tiger mission I liked that
Specialists were the dumbest idea they could have made. Taking a tried and true system like classes and throwing it in the gutter really showed me where their priorities were: Call of Duty Operators. And operator skins. Not to mention how even this revamped system they did later on of combining specialists and classes isnt that great. Also the Plus system. That one sucks too.
Picked it up recently and I am having a blast! Redacted really does feel like Metro. There are very few games that do scale like the Battlefield series and this one has it down.
I really like Battlefield 2042 and think its one of the best FPS on the market currently. And a lot of people don't see how the new Delta Force game is literally identical - so it must have stuck a cord because Delta Force is getting great reviews from the beta testers currently.
i loved battlefield five, because i was a nerd on ww2, and also i just loved the gameplay and battlefield as a whole, it let me be a casual solo player, something i cant do in other games, you know after 2042 i thought battlefield was done, but after seeing halo infinite and no mans sky get a massive glow up, i wanted to see how battlefield was doing and ill wait till its on sale because i still dont believe its worth 60$ especially with a battle pass. i played bf2042 on the ps4 and i dont have to tell you the rest, its been 3 years since i touched it and the last time was when there wasnt even seasons, i still have a kriss vector skin from the pre season challenges.
As a genuine fan who's been playing since bf4, I gotta say they really turned 2042 around for the better. It just goes to show that people want a more classic feeling battlefield, and they definitely botched their reputation at launch even though the game is playable now

Just bought it with the steam summer sale about 15 days ago, and I feel like this is exactly what I needed, having a break of Apex Legends and looking for a fun, casual and engaging fps, this is my way to go
For a fact not the best battlefield, but I'm having a fckn great casual experience
well i like battlefield 3 because of good story, but i am concidering getting this version of battlefield and i think i will buy it and try it on my own, i love battlefield more than other shooter games.
Game is still amazing on PS4 & PS5. I've played on both. Biggest difference is speed & loading between games. (Which is great.)
You know Battlefield is down bad when the nostalgia of BF1’s epic soundtrack overshadows the game you’re actually speaking about.
I bought it 3 months ago I was avoiding it because it was horrible, till I watched a UA-cam video about the best sittings I just followed the instructions and it became my favorite game now over Call of Duty
thank you for your sacrifice
I do what I can
IMO the people still playing are positive about 2042.
Couldn't agree more!
Definitely agree, wait for the game to be on sale and get it. Definitely fun but not worth the full price (I preordered it even after seeing the “BETA” 😂 thinking they ironed out the flaws)
I lost the ability to trust because of this game
maybe you have trust issues
i feel you
Short answer, nope!
I want them to bring back all seasons again the same seasons starting with 1
Here is your well deserved: Thank you! :D
7:24 thank you buddy
I think I fucked up I got the old gen version on series x 😅😅 ...now I don't know how that would play
My biggest issue with 2042 is the AI… I hate it. I hate joining a game and it’s all AI.
@@MrSaviorHDI’d rather be able to see the servers and wait in a queue lol. The old way of doing things I guess 😅
This is why I was upset about people complaining about the game but they never tried it again it doesn’t make sense
I personally love the game. Something about it is just incredibly fun. It is certainly battlefield as you said
I watched this while fishing in Destiny
Lmao I am also a D2 main, another game that doesn’t deserve my money. Unfortunate times with a lot of these games. Especially fps’
Thanks gamer
I love the Battlefield series and I gave 2042 so many chances. The beta, pre ordering and trying to stick with this “new” direction for the classes. After some time I gave up on the game, it never felt like a Battlefield game. It’s been about 6 months since i played last and 4 months since i deleted it off my console.
I hope they make an actual Battlefield next and not continue this ridiculous trend following malarkey.
I cant wait until its 2042 and everyones gonna be like “Playing Battlefield 2042 in 2042!“ lol yall better pin this comment in 20 years when it is
"Tried something new"
It copied popular design trends without innovating them in any ways or making them work for what the series was.
I wish someone other than EA would make us a true battlefield game.
Thank you😊
I know this may be an unpopular opinion, but they should have continued with developing Hazard Zone and tied the story of Battlefield 2042 within it in some way. For example, make specific missions in Hazard Zone for every player which they can complete, but they have to not get squad wiped and have to extract for it to count as completed.
I bought it at launch for full price, I was very disappointed... I put in like 5 hours today. But I'm a Battlefield fan boy, and own the entire series on PC other than Hardline as that entry was a hardleft from the normal Battlefield.
ive been playing again im enjoying myself
You called it, s7 is last season.
Yippee!
Break Through was just Operations from BF1
4:38 Did I just hear your character scream 'Woo! Got one of them!' after killing someone during a battle? Wtf
ngl, i really enjoy the current state of 2042, its a huge improvement from the launch, give it a go definitely.
Taking a tried and true system like classes and throwing it in the gutter really showed me where their priorities were:
Call of Duty Operators. And operator skins.
Not to mention how even this revamped system they did later on of combining specialists and classes isnt that great.
Also the Plus system. That one sucks too.
Even CoD did operators better; you had operators for two different factions instead of the mess they have.
Do the gun play, bullet spread, blooming on the weapons and pretty much all of the weapons work properly now?
Bought it for 12€ on steam to play it with a co-worker. Sadly the only BF with crossplay, really hope they add it to BF1 and BFV one day🤞
Picked it up recently and I am having a blast! Redacted really does feel like Metro. There are very few games that do scale like the Battlefield series and this one has it down.
Glad you’re enjoying it!
Thank you!
Thank you, Gamer.
You’re welcome
64 vs 64 is amazing now. It was unplayable at launch due to poor performance.
It’s so chaotic
Performance is still garbage especially on 128v128, co-op is fine which is ridiculousl
Thank you. I've never played battlefield, and never will. But nice video💙
Thanks!
Cant wait for battlefield 2042 in 2042
I really like Battlefield 2042 and think its one of the best FPS on the market currently. And a lot of people don't see how the new Delta Force game is literally identical - so it must have stuck a cord because Delta Force is getting great reviews from the beta testers currently.
its a great game now, regret pre ordering it yes, but i love it
Bought it day one a mess these day’s I’m loving it 🎉
1:50
me when
me when
A guy pulls down his pants
Say what you want but the first months of 2042 was so fun with the op hovercrafts that could climb buildings was so funny
I’m gonna play it because of crawford because he has my last name
I actually love the gameplay
i loved battlefield five, because i was a nerd on ww2, and also i just loved the gameplay and battlefield as a whole, it let me be a casual solo player, something i cant do in other games, you know after 2042 i thought battlefield was done, but after seeing halo infinite and no mans sky get a massive glow up, i wanted to see how battlefield was doing and ill wait till its on sale because i still dont believe its worth 60$ especially with a battle pass. i played bf2042 on the ps4 and i dont have to tell you the rest, its been 3 years since i touched it and the last time was when there wasnt even seasons, i still have a kriss vector skin from the pre season challenges.
As a genuine fan who's been playing since bf4, I gotta say they really turned 2042 around for the better. It just goes to show that people want a more classic feeling battlefield, and they definitely botched their reputation at launch even though the game is playable now
I like the game now, they have fixed a lot since launch
