    I'm 99.9%sure that the handles are the the only reason those chipping hammers are still in production. The hammer part couldn't chip the skin off custard.

    I know this is an older video and I'm about 2 years late but vinegar works great at removing mill scale. Overnight soak in it will dissolve all of the mill scale and you can get a few uses out of the vinegar before it slows down. I used 6% strength.

    Hey man I'm a rookie welder so am always looking for information about everything. One thing I saw a welder doing when using flux core wire he took the gas nozzle/ tip off because you don't need it when there is no gas. I think it stops grounding the tip accidentally but I would think that would be hard to do anyway. I am welding flux core wire now much easier. Don't know if this is correct but hey, seems to be good.

    Would that setup work for corn tortillas as well? Also, would a very slight gap be appropriate? Like 1/32”? Just metal on metal would make it slightly thinner on the back. I would think so anyway.

  • @deansymborski2167
    @deansymborski2167 3 роки тому +2

    Awesome videos and Grinding mill scale sucks, take it From a Toolmaker/ Fabricator. May I suggest using muriatic acid to strip the mill scale. Its quick and easy. You can get it in a hardware store and dilute with water in a spray bottle, NOTE always add the acid to the water not water to acid, so fill the bottle with water first then add the acid. Use a plastic pan outside and spray on the surface, it will foam up when working on the scale then rinse in a bucket of water. Or if you order P&O steel, (pickled and oiled) its already done for a few bucks more. Another option is vinegar but I heard it takes a while but have not tried it, you may want to soak some for a few days to see of it works.
    Smoke-On

    Should have put in a spacer before attaching the hinge... You have zero clearance for dough at the hinge end... Giving it a few millimeters would allow for larger tortillas...

  • @spritzer99

Why?

    OI Brad you know if you soak those plates in white vinegar over night that mill scale will wipe straight off right ? look m8 im a blacksmith ( if you mention fugged in fire im coming to get yu ! ) mill scale is fe204 or 302 i forget (one is mill scale one is rust) it dissolves in vinegar turns black and wipes straight off will save you $2 a time on flap discs .... you sure you dont need some advice i been welding for 35 years?? also a gas welder will stop the need for splatter and oxides clean up saving you 1 min per weld sounds like nothing but your prob making 200 welds on a large chud box ? i could come make them 2 hours and $30+ cheaper per item ....
