What do you think will win???
The bandit with black top silver belly my favorite color
Can’t beat a bandit!
great stuff !
Thanks
Bandits
Can’t go wrong!
@@ThatsAGoodFish I bought me 5 bandits 200 yesterday casting out retrieving it back real slow 15 crappies
They flat out catch em!
Trolling is easier and more relaxing
No doubt about that! Check out our trolling for crappie video you’ll love it!
@@ThatsAGoodFish I will right now
@user-bk1iu5ue4f enjoy!
You should try Berkley flicker shad 5 and 7 they have been producing better for us here in lndiana
Will definitely do that! Some days it seems that they like the flicker more and sometimes the bandit more
Nice crappies
Thanks 🙏
Minnow definitely make a difference in summer patterns
For sure man! Sometimes it’s the only way they will bite!
Great video. I figured live scope would win
Unfortunately it did. Definitely wanted trolling too but livescope is so dang effective. Minnows probably helped TOO much
@@ThatsAGoodFish the real question brother is if you truly think it will ruin crappie fishing? I think it could but it could also bring a lot of ppl to the sport by not wasting time fishing where fish aren’t. It all comes down to how many they keep!
Excellent question. And I really don’t think so. I have just heard “livescope will ruin this and that” so I thought I’d mention it. I think it really helps fishing, helps people catch more fish and get more people into the sport! Thanks for watching!
I caught over 40 keepers today alone with 1 pole and jigs I only kept my 25 that I’m allowed and throwed the shorts and the other keepers I couldn’t keep all back with livescope on Sam Rayburn
Good show for the best results using the same bait would give you a better test
Appreciate it! For this video we wanted to go with two popular techniques to catch crappie. Trolling and livescope. We probably shoulda used artificial bait for livescope instead.
Trolling for me
We have so much timber in our lake you can’t troll you’ll go broke in the first hour hung up
Live scope will out produce anytime of the year, where as trolling is only used when the water warms up enough that the fish will react to faster moving tackle. That's how live scope will wipe out a species. Where I live ,that has happened. I refuse to spend the 3 grand cause it's not worth it.
I understand where you’re coming from. However I’ve had many trips where finding fish is easier with livescope but catching them is still tricky. Trolling just triggers reactionary bites and you can have multiple rods out at one time. Thanks for watching!
I think trolling will catch more fish
Thanks for commenting! Let us know what you thought after you see what won!
If you don’t find biting fish neither way will beat the other people have this idea that livescope makes them jump in the boat and it doesn’t , now I have caught 5 limits this week with my livescope and jigs , then yesterday after catching limit of crappie o caught a 21 lb sack bass on livescope with crank bait 5.04 , 5.11, 6.56 , 2.62 , and a 2.00 on Sam Rayburn Texas
That’s a fact. I’ve noticed so many times that I find the fish and sometimes those crappie won’t bite. You move on and find biting fish some other place. Just thought this was a fun challenge! I still have a lot to learn on how to catch bass with livescope. Can’t wait to try that hard this winter! Thanks for watching
@@ThatsAGoodFish yes I’m learning myself on bass , but crappie are moody but 100 yards away from not biting crappie the next group will eat like they are starving , most likely the ones not biting good have just been messed with by other anglers in the recent days
Yep it does seem like that!
Livescope!!!
The enemy.
What chart are you using for line length and depth?
Honestly we don’t really look at the chart anymore. On 10 lb braid most of those bandit 300’s will go anywhere from 10-15 ft down. Even deeper if you let out more line.
For #s id say trolling or pulling will catch more just cause your covering more water faster but I think LS will catch better quality fish
Excellent points. Livescope you can kinda snipe the bigger fish for sure
What lake are you fishing?
Kansas lake!
Why are you trolling with braid rather than fluorocarbon?
Honestly braid doesn’t have any stretch, so with that much line out I think it helps. Flourocarbon works too, I just prefer 10 lb high vis braid due to helping me see strikes and the no stretch.
I was really rooting for trolling but it wasn’t to be
Same man. Maybe the minnows were too much?
Troll using live scope is best
Why do you think that is?
@@ThatsAGoodFish If you know what depth your bait is at and can adjust that depth you will have a much better catch rate
Makes sense. That’s a great point!
