  • Today I'm going to be comparing the brand new HD620s to Sennheiser's iconic HD600 and their improved HD650. Sennheiser has been in the audio field for years, and their headphones are some of the most ubiquitous models in the audiophile, mixing, and recording worlds. This highly anticipated release is going to be a great addition to many people's collection.

Hi great informative video, I have 6xx with custom cans bass mod , it just get a bit more bass at bottom end, I wonder how the bass on the 620 against 660s2 . It’s also interesting how the 620 against the 490 pro . It’s good that the 620 has metal on the head band , I total agree with the cable is not 600 series and also the 620 had same build has 500 series , so because of the cable and 500 series headphone design I don’t think warrants the price of £300 in the Uk, at the moment 650 is currently £229, the 660s2 is £359, for my money at the moment don’t go for these at this price point get far better build in the hd650 or even 6xx from drop even to shipping to uk working out about £170 shipped. If you want a bit more lower end bass for your 6xx 650 fit the custom cans bass mod about £30 . Regards mark

How do they sound with some Emperor? Too sibilant or forgiving?

Emperor is pretty well mixed to my ears so I didn't hear too much sibilance. If I did get any it was on bright flashy mixes like "100 Demons" self-titled. Overall, it's still comfortable on many tracks but a lot of feedback in genres like noise music or grindcore will still be sibilant.

    Hey! Great video!
    1. Nice T-shirts. Emperor fan here 🤘🏻🤘🏻
    2. Comparing this new 620s vs other close back sennheiser headphones or other brands like Audio-technica, which one do you recommend for metal music?
    Thanks!

I personally like bass heavy headphones for a lot of modern metal music. Older metal sounds great on these, but the mixes typically aren't as bright. To balance out more treble, I really like the ATH-M50x or the Fostex TH-616 if you're looking at any open-backs.

@@audio46 thanks for your reply. I’m looking for close back headphones. Also I saw I video of very famous guy saying that the Soundcore Q45 are pretty good for the money.
